Great episode, this brother is sharp with plenty of gems and his story is inspiring. The concept on life insurance for solving the violence issue is idealistic. Good thought but insurance companies would most likely add a clause that if you live in a high risk area for violence or are involved in high risk activity (gang association or affiliation) they'll be denying claims left and right or put a cap on what the payout would be.
Some already do this. Just like with suicide clauses that are in a lot of policies. They can even deny coverage altogether depending on criminal history.
The brother is definitely on point in terms of navigating the cultural aspects of "Finance" it can be the most difficult aspect of surviving the business even if you know the business, and even as an analyst. He brings to bear all of the relevant data needed in order to succeed in the marketplace!

That's right, option isn't for rookies but that doesn't mean they have to stay off options, I started as a rookie and in my first 5 months, I made a profit of about $380,000 with no funny strategies, I basically was just following the steps and guideline of my mentor/consultant, so as long as you've professional help, you're good to go.
