It sounds like you use MDF boards. Those boards are smooth and easy to paint. However, they can’t handle screws well. How do you hang it?
Small nails and liquid nails provide enough strength for the braces I attach to the wood 👍 ... screws and more wood ideally for the wall support..
What’s the best kind of wood to get and size? Would paints do I need to get I already got angelus paint for customizing shoes
i cut them alot of the time so i get the biggest that they have 8 feet by 4 feet down to a 2 feet x 2 feet ... the quality acrylic paints does the job great .. the cheap stuff will soak into the wood ..

@@kenmckinnie6061 I would say yes .. make sure that you prime the wood surface at least twice .. the wood is going to want to drink that angelus 👍👍
So you use the dremel 4000 with rotozip tips? Not the ones that come with the dremel?
The ones that come with the Dremel were to thin for the Wood I was cutting .. they kept breaking..
Rotozip blades are thicker ..
Hi can you tell me the exact kilz primer u use? I dont see any for wood and the ones I’ve seen are glossy finish, does that matter if it’s glossy?
it doesn't have to be kilz .. but the gloss wont matter .. the wood is gonna soak most of it up anyway .. several coats is not needed .. you just want a barrier so the wood doesnt eat you color paint & because if it does you will be doing 100 coats of color

dremel with rotosaw bits or sometimes i will use the rotosaw itself ...
Do you just put glitter in the paint to do the glitter effect?
sometimes .. but that is a very specific kind of glitter (flake) , not quite like the kind from hobby art stores.. both work nicely but they are different .

Use a projector.
Depending on the size I will freehand it but a projector makes it a whole lot faster 👍
How'd you get the money bags on there ?
Either a wood brace of some sort or sometimes I use /make a magnetic 🧲 connection ..
So I bought the dermal 4000 which blade did you use ?
Got the rotozip blades .. right by the Dremel blades 👍

a dremel 4000 ... the 3000 wasn't strong enough for three quarter inch wood it just chops thru it ... u end up sanding forever

What type of torch do you use to heat it
I don’t use a torch 🤷🏾♂️… thus far it hasn’t been necessary 👍.. I do use a heat gun for that same purpose 🔥

not sure the actual name of the wood ... I get the 8 ft x 4ft boards from Home Depot , The really smooth stuff :) its around $50 bucks a board .. they have cheaper & smaller ones too . The 4 feet by 4 feet is good to . But the cheaper ones aren't as smooth and easy to paint on.
and are even harder to cut :( ...
Would you recommend the 4800 ? and what bit did you use when cutting ?
Never used the 4800 ... stopped at the 4000 and went with the roto zip .. 4000 kept breaking/ stopping on me ..
Damn I wanted to see the entire thing not so close. Never got to see the completed piece. Bummer
How do you get past selling copyright stuff? They haven’t come after you?
no problems thus far ... they are all 1 of 1 pieces and i think that would probably happen if i were making several duplicates of the art ...
Did you buy stencils for the money symbols or LV symbols
The money symbols I draw by hand ... the Louie and Gucci ones I usually cut with my cricut maker ...with either poster boards or vinyl 👍👍
Can you use spray paint?

I hand paint all of my work.. the only time I use spray is for stencil work 👍 .. my spray paint game wouldn’t be precise enough to do pieces like this😵
Not to sound stupid, but do you sand the wood before putting on the grey primer?
And do you do two coats or just one?
Sometimes 👍… depending on the smoothness of the surface .. some wood needs it some doesn’t 👍

With lots of styrofoam 👍… mostly boxes 📦 and styrofoam.. when they get really big I have to build a crate 🔨

What tip did u put on the dremel to cut the wood?
Have to use the roto zip tips .. the dremel ones break on the thick wood board that I use ... they work fine on thinner wood board tho 👍🏽
Can you do this with a glowforge printer 🖨?
Not sure how thick a glow forge cuts ... can probably do thin panel type wood with it ... I use quarter inch thick wood so not sure if it cuts that thick 👍

yes .. sometimes , other times i use the fan and all the windows. But i buy the resin that claims it doesn't contain all the ridiculously harmful stuff .. i don't smell it at all .. i still use precaution tho :)
