- When I was preparing for UPSC, I liked reading a lot. And this entire section of the bookshelf is essentially books that I had read during my preparation. It's very useless. You don't have to read so many books. And naturally, the closer I got to the exam, I realized that I won't be able to remember all these books. So I thought, what should I do with the notes? And because I was lazy, I thought I should take the best notes ever, if I get them somewhere. And that, again, led to problems. Eventually, I realized that I have to make my own notes, which I did in this format. You'll see that it's written in very small writing. But eventually, these notes are of no use. These can be the best notes ever, but if I don't read them again, they are useless. So that's what you have to realize with your own notes also. They may be the best notes that you'll ever find, but if you don't read them again, they're useless. So read your notes.
At least i feel I'm not the only one who doesn't goes back to my own notes. 🥺.
But ya , thanks for Reminding i need to relook my own notes 😭.

Best notes are the notes that you make of your own notes.
In simple language let's take example of geography ncert first u should read it at least 2 times then make notes then practice mock then fill gaps in those notes and later u keep revising those notes and bring it down to just 5-10 pages that's the best note ever

REVISION > FANCY NOTE MAKING USING THREE COLOURED PENS. ( hahaha i used to do this during iit prep)
picturised note are quite helpful than the long notes. it is either made by a single color pen or mulitple color pens

Books me hi markings kar lo no need to make seperate notes, for static stuff you can make notes..I watch RUclips videos repeatedly for static notes..

REVISION IS THE KEY.
Same problem With me. I read a lot from different books and feel very lazy while thinking about making notes, and somehow I make 1 or 2 page, but never see them back again. So this whole process looks like waste.

laziness. your problem is laziness not note making. only you can help yourself dear or someone using stick and force just like army. i am your senior and i wish you succeed. BUT SOLVE THIS PROBLEM FAST OR FORGET UPSC.
dont make big comprehensive notes.....try to make keyword notes so you can revise easily 😊

@@R.U.D431my personal experience If you lack iron in your diet,you will feel fatigue..I had mild anaemia and I felt the same..sleepiness and lack of concentration too..once I included it in diet,i felt the difference within a week..its not just iron..it maybe another mild health issues too..check it prior and do the needful..You will be alright..All the best

My Suggestion which truly braught some change in a master Procrastinator like me, and made revise notes robustly.
Make the Notes Immediately after your best read, use tables, One note, ever note could be very helpful in this, as they have Highlighting, underlining, italicising table making benefits etc, also get into Google, search some relevant images & paste them their only, that will be tremendously helpful in revision.
if you are not able to this even, convert your notes into Audios.
if you're still not able to do it, better u leave the prepration:)
