    What I noticed about Khris was the elbow but even more the hands. So calm and relaxed pre load, then explosive to contact. Sets you apart from the great hitters

    Khris Davis is the most underrated player in baseball. he doesn't get much attention because he isnt on the Yankees, Red Sox, or Cubs, the three teams MLB highly favors

    I used to do that and that's why I had power to all sides of the field but then I thought I was wrong and I started developing bad habits and then I had a few seasons where I had to rework my swing cause I couldn't find my old good swing but then I saw this video and now I remember what I used to do, thanks for the vid guys

    People are finally starting to understand knob of the bat to the ball isn't the game

    • @NickBauersfeld
      @NickBauersfeld 5 лет назад +2

      Thats what I was taught as a kid. I legit watched this video and then grabbed a bat and did my swing in front of a mirror, and realized, tho I was strong, reasons I was never a HR hitter, was cuz my swing was too steep with the knob.
      God I wish I had this video when I was 10 yr old, 13 years ago. I would've worked on using my back and elbow to help my hip snap, to generate more power.

    "and my barrel, WHAM, look at that, comes in the zone there, BOOM, and look at that ride -- and THAT, is what the great hitters do right there.

    If you look at the old school hitters their bat was almost parallel to the ground while still behind them and at the start of the forward swing.

    Even in his best years, his bat contributions were wiped out by bad defense or not playing DH at a high enough level (he best years in OAK were a combined 120 OPS+).

    Like Tony Gwynn said “knob to the ball” hit to every field.
    “Don’t push a bat, swing the knob”

    Sean Casey, can you please teach this technique to my home team the Minnesota Twins.
    your demonstration shows me that the entire team is casting/entering in steep and not utilizing the entire zone with the bat path.

    OMG. These guys are finally catching on. Listen to everything they're saying here. They're getting most of it right. Hands rock back n forth to create a non-static stretched "back wing". Buggy whipping. Plus hands come freely through first while inside as they demonstrate. Arms locked cause that bad casting out they also mention.
    BUT THEY'RE STILL BLIND TO THE BOTTOM FRONT LEG STARTING THE ENTIRE RHYTHM OR KINETIC CHAIN. ALL 4-5 BATTERS IN A ROW DID IT FROM THAT PERFECT FRONTAL VIEW: USE THE LOWER FRONT LEG TO BUGGY WHIP THE ENTIRE BODY N BAT INTO A SWING. DO NOT TOE TAP AND STOP!
