My mother gifted me argula seeds from her garden in Texas. I live in Chicago (6a and 6b zones). Do you think i could grow these on my western facing patio? Thanks! I enjoyed your video.
Arugula does best when it is allowed to receive at least six hours of direct sunlight. It also does well in part-sun, especially in warm climates. Our reccomentaion is to position your arugula plants where they'll be able to gain access to full morning sun and shade in the afternoon.
Try it in an indoor tabletop hydro garden with 12 pods. It`s a very unique flavor to add to fresh salads and very healthy. A large harvest of anything is only possible in a large outdoor garden or huge indoor setup.
Thank you for your comment! The spacing between seedlings is intentional to ensure each plant has enough room for healthy growth, better air circulation, and access to nutrients. Overcrowding can lead to competition for resources and lower yields. Thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts 💚

wow❤
Оказывается это так просто. Спасибо.
Thank you!
What's the white substance you sprinkled on the soil
The white substance is perlite. We added it to improve drainage and aeration in the soil
Спасибо за информацию. Очень полезное растение. Можно добавлять в салаты. Буду выращивать. Не сложно. Удачи.

Absolutely! Chicago's cool weather is perfect for arugula. Your west patio with afternoon sun is ideal, just add shade during scorching days.

No mention of light requirements?
