Happens in Aerospace, too. Warren Buffet bought the casting house that makes the titanium compressor intake housings for the Rolls Royce Airbus engines which have been chronically backlogged for the past six or seven years. Buffet inherited the problem, but one would think he had it fixed by now, ehh?
The reason I clicked on this video is because I was just talking to someone about this exact box two weeks ago. But it’s the dewalt version. We both talked about how we haven’t seen them for a year or two and we both got them around Christmas time. So I’m wondering if dewalt is doing the same thing. Really weird if that’s the case. Atleast have it accessible on the dewalt/ rigid site.
theyre back, i just bought all 8. checked again today, now theres 16 in stock. they were on sale for ~$12, half the marked price. they do compete with milwaukee, and theyve gotten their hand slapped by milwaukee before when they outcompeted the higher end brand, thats what happened with octane, it was too good, the power tools are owned by the same company. looking at the ridgid organizer and the milwaukee packout side by side the material feels identical, fit and finish is the same, design is not as good unfortunately, milwaukee has them there with the little push thing rather than these bars we slide over hooks on these. but it shows they are likely make in the same factory.
Wow what are the odds I ordered 2 of them yesterday form HD. It is very odd when will they release a draw box? There is so much potential for these boxes.
I have the first gen Rigid tower, and love it for general purpose tool storage. The packout is better if you need specialized storage, and if what they have meets your needs.
Where the Hell have you been? Missed you man. Then I thought you were a fellow Englishman as your car seemed to be right-hand-drive. Was this video really about parts orgnanisers or unicorns from a parallel universe? Don't leave it so long next time Ian, Birmingham, UK
I decided to get more serious about the channel, I noticed the camera reversed the image of me getting in the car only after i started editing, it was to late to redo it.
Really liked this video. Hope to see more hardware mysteries in the future.

Sir,
this is a Wendy's
They are now available on the HD website, but for some reason are labeled "2.0 Pro Gear System 22 in. Compact Tool and Small Parts Organizer"

I'll have to look again on the HD web site, it would be great if they have them again, but it means i will have to delete another video.

I hate shit like that. So, so frustrating. I've had similar experiences with really great products.
