I've tested as an INTJ, but years before I was aware of the term I was confronted with narcissistic gaslighting and a specific person saying there was something "wrong" with me. My response was confusion, and for the first time in my life I sought outside help to validate where I felt I was coming from internally. I went to a psychologist and found out that my personality type (not Myers-Briggs) probably was not meant to mesh well with this other person, so that is what was "wrong" with me.
I've explored different "claim to be" INTJ pages & I'm impressed with how eloquently you explain your contentions. Too many other pages get bogged down into technical terminology, thinking it is what is required by us & of the subject matter, only it ends up quite entangled, feeding the confusion I read in their comment sections. To someone who only recently became aware of their type, that approach only fogs their comprehension of themselves. You, on the other hand, clearly articulate the necessary contrasts for them, WITHOUT bogging them down with unnecessary technical jargon. That's what they NEED, so I applaud your page & the approaches you employ. It's tough enough to walk this world as the logical robots we're dispised for being, without further complicating an already complex personality. Thanks for being a REALITY ISLAND in a chaotic sea.💞🖤
@Markhdz That is a pretty common story among a lot of INTJs. Most people don't really understand an INTJ and just assume that something is "wrong" with them. Of course, that isn't the case. Most others are more concerned with people conforming to societal standards than trying to really understand people who simply, don't. Thank you so much for sharing part of your story - I am sure other INTJs will recognize and get some value from it! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and for leaving a comment 🙌🙂
@Catherine Rhea Wow - thank you so much for this massive compliment! That was one of the reasons I created this channel - to develop a like minded community, yes but - moreover - to break things down in a way that isn't so confusing. As my channel motto (if you will) is brain food, made simple. I want to create easily digestible (see what i did there 😂) content for everyone who is eager to learn. You're absolutely right, as was the case with me - it can all be very confusing, especially when you first discover you personality type - and even for those who have known. For people who genuinely want to level up and have a better understanding of themselves, I wanted to create a place that I wish I would have had when I first started my journey. Your comment here means that I am delivering on that idea, and it really, really means a lot. I absolutely love being a REALITY ISLAND in a chaotic sea. Thank you so much! 🙌👽
Very interesting. When i´m in my "Shadow mode" i am silent, observant. When i am stressed, sick, or emotional i become extremely asocial, defensive and i can give many the silent treatment as a way to protect myself from to much interaction with others.
My "shadow mode" is observational SILENCE... I observe everything & remain silent. Decades of being confronted with what I label as "obtuse" behavior from others, including companies & systems, instantly triggers my extroverted sensing...but that feels abnormal to me, so I observe & remain silent, sift whatever meaningful data out of the chaos, then evaluate it against my "morale codes." In the majority of the times this has happened, I've kept my final analysis to myself & quietly walked away, all the while feeling my internal data shift as a result....eg.; now I see your true colors!!! Those subsequent shifts never reverse once they happen. While in shadow mode, I isolate, because I don't trust any outside influence. As I've gotten older, I've found myself more IN shadow mode, than OUT... a logical consequence of being consistently misunderstood for decades. I used to get very uneasy in that headspace when I was younger, but over the years, I've grown more comfortable within it, accepting it as a normal maturation evolution.🖤
@@catherinerhea6336 Well, is little too positive😂 Let's just say i'm here trying to figure stuff out. But thank you for asking, Listening to Parkway drive 😉
@Catherine Rhea Absolutely! Using your shadow as an INTJ has so many advantages, as you know. Those true colors become glaringly obvious, don't they?! I am glad you are able to lean into all aspects of your personality and really utilize them to your fullest advantage. You're right - it does take time and some real self understanding to fully embrace that aspect, but once any INTJ does, it's a game changer. As always, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and for leaving a comment - especially comments that are sure to help other INTJs on their own journeys! 🙂
I go into zombie mode. I have no enthusiasm to improve or offer input, and i just go down the list of what must be done unconsciously and slowly. When whatever caused it is over, I'm generally back to normal after sleeping, but I need more sleep than usual
Ne - Usful tool to be broken out when needed Ti - Alternate T mode for special occation, carefully apply Ni/Te after each use (debug) Se - Sacrificed to Cthulhu and only worn as a mask when Te proves insufficient for humanoid optimalization Si - downscaled Ni / necceary evil / put all available building points into overmaxing memory / synergy neglible (had an ENTP mentor at work whom I still keep in touch with after he retired, can use him as shadow input if mode switch is impractical)
I’m not happy that my enfp mother won’t let me be who I am just because I don’t care about 90% of what she says. When I do become old enough, I will be free.
@Thomas Riessler That is a fair point, absolutely. I think the idea is that with maturity, typically you are more aware of your extraverted feelings and don't judge them quite so harshly. Not that everyone necessarily needs to utilize them in their daily lives, perse. As always, I appreciate your insights and knowledge! 🙂👍

I have repeatedly felt all of these
It’s not stress it’s flow.
I especially like this video because it relates the primary functions to their shadow functions and gives examples. Very helpful!
I don't think I have a light mode.
Im a entp , and ive only been intj shadow state a handful but one time, i remember was horrible, but i passed my exam.
Ya. I can relate to the shadow mode. Do other personalities not have this?
Well described...🙄😏😲😳👏👏👏💥
💥 How does childhood abuse and trauma affect an INTJ?
I haven't watched the video yet, but my shadow mode is "Fk you all, I'll go find a better deal".

The claim that as a mature person you need Fe is indeed one of MBTI's closely guarded fairy tales.
