Wow! An actual proper talk with the older sister. This story is one of the better "little sister rejected, older sister came to talk to me" stories. The last story like this that I absolutely hated was the one from ayasaki san where the older sister was the sc president and was trying to use her authority to coerce the guy into dating her sister.
In this story, I thought the older sister was going to be like that and was about to skip, but then as I continued watching she had an intimidating aura, but she was calm. She was worried about her little sister, but she wanted to hear his side as well. And as he talked about his insecurities, she talk to him about her sister's side and gave him encouragement as well, because she actually cares for both of them. An actual adult.

Aika really is a awesome Big sister it's nice that she understood his circumstances and even told him that regardless of what others thought about him dating her sister that she chose to be with him and that he should just go for it and just ignore the haters and it's honestly sweet that she played their Cupid and brought Shuta and Himeka 🥰 and it's actually cool that her agency allowed them to start dating.😊

I get the point they're trying to make. but the major issue is that they're assuming he has super comprehension / mind reading capabilities. Her reason for asking him out in front of a crowd may solve her issues but that 'doesn't necessarily mean it'll solve his issues. He's still presented with the same dilemmas. Either way he was going to get Mentally cornered. He accepts her, he gets criticized. He rejects her, he gets criticized. While it maybe excuses our brains don't like such pressure being placed on them therefor we often chose the option with the least amount of pressure. In this case it would be turning her down.

Ya, I think the public confession was by and large the worse option. It's like making a proposal in front of the whole family, it tries to guilt the person to accept under societal pressure. Asking in private ensures that he won't be criticized by a large number of people, and thus prevents the chance of either strongarming him into a relationship OR reinforcing his stance given the criticism.
Can't we have an MC where he is genuinely not interested and not because of any insecurities he has?
Unfortunately most of these stories have to have the premise of the dude being a loser with low self worth. It gets old fast.

I liked the advice that Aika gave to Shuta about Himeka also I like that she pointed out that she only helping Himeka because she knows that Shuta likes her little sister as well. It was nice that the big sister also helped Shuta set up a situation where Himeka couldn't run away from it and they could just talk. It was a nice story.

Aika was definitely MVP big sister here giving Shuta good advice and helping him and her little sister Himeka get together and ignore all the petty haters. Now they can be happy together with even the agency letting them be together as a couple.
I was nothing special when I was young. I was short and very, very skinny; I'm talking 5' 7" and 110 lbs. I did well in school, but only because I was a huge nerd. I had friends, but they were nerds too.

If you are interested in someone and they approach you, just say yes! If they asked you out, they have already decided that you are good enough for them. Get over yourself and focus on being the best partner you can to them.

If there are people who doesn't want a popular girl with a normal boy on a relationship, then it's their decision and they have to accept it. At least the sister was willing to hear Shuta’s side unlike the story where the FmC’s sister who is the sc president abused her power and authority and threatened and forced the Mc to date her sister and people were calling her cupid.
I agree that Shuta was making excuses and is a wimp but he does have a point. Imagine having a childhood friend and she suddenly becomes popular you would feel she’s out of your reach and you’re not worthy of her. Shuta’s insecurities got in the way. But are we going to ignore the fact that Himeka literally put Shuta on the spot when she confessed in an open crowd. She said she wanted to get everyone’s approval but that will only make it worse. And in manga there’s this notion that if the prettiest and popular girl in school confess to you in an open crowd, you must accept it even if you don’t have feelings for the girl and if you reject her you become everyone’s enemy and you will still become everyone’s enemy if you do have feelings for the girl and accept her confession. Honestly I am kinda getting sick and tired of these wimpy Mc’s who have no confidence. We need more confident Mc’s and it would better if they’re not interested in any girl and just lives his happy life
I was kinda surprised at gow the older sister handles tgis. Usually they use every ddirty trick to get the mc to go out with their sister, but she was very reasonable. This story was nice.

We’ll it was nice that Aika🤎 is a great sister to Himeka🤎 but Glad she was understanding about why Shunta💙 had reasons as to why he rejected her sister but she had her a point to him about how he needed to be confident in himself and to not care about what others say about him and Himeka Glad they became a couple in the end.
If MC didn't really have any romantic feelings for the FMC, then I totally understand him rejecting her. But he does like her, and by rejecting her he didn't just screw FMC's feelings over but also his own. I may get flak for this, but I agree with the characters of this story when they said that MC's a wimp and just making excuses.

I don't think people get hoe terrible it can actually be to date an idol. Its not like a celebrity or actor people dont just like them or have fantasies. Some Idol fans (often a lot) are FIRST GRADE DELUSIONAL PEOPLE. not lowkey but LITERAL stalkers obsessed with thr idols they like and that eill genuenly eish and sometimes try to hurt you and your life if they find out you are dating the idol they like. Being scared to date an Idol IS the reasonable reaponse. This fell short, it was lackluster tbh, there was a huge build up, ever since she started getting popular he started to doubt himself on being with her, and when the moment she confessed he declined on stage, then the sister wanted to meet up, all of this build up with the trait we know he has is being a coward, just for a measley few words that barely could be considered a for of relief and he is just confident? It feels like all of it could have been more but ended up being a let down

I can actually tolerate this. Aika was willing to hear shuta out in his reasons but don't think it's a bit unfair to be cornered like that for a reason? Don't get me wrong, shuta is a pansy for doing that. Can you imagine getting hate by ppl ALL OVER THE INTERNET?! The thumbnail got me with the older sister getting mad but she was calm and tame here. Unlike the ayasaki-san one where the fmc's older sister abuses her power as the school president to make the mc date her sister's crush like what the hell? This art style never gets old. Aside from that,mc is a bitch here but not faulting him over the weight of the hate if you know what i mean.

@@chucknorris2418I assume these stories are written from the Japanese standards where as if you are a westerner a lot of things that happen within the story is unacceptable. In Japan they don’t usually resort to violence when they get NTR’ed while here in the USA YOU WILL DIE if you are caught with someone else’s women. But then again women are privileged over here and can sink a man to the bottom of the ocean if she wishes to.
Wimp MC's can be annoying but I feel that the VA fits this kind of character better, we don't have a neccessarily "perfect" VA for a strong, stone cold Male MC...
