I really like how this story went. It was a neat reason that the reason why Yui couldn't go out with people was because she loved her mother and didn't want any potential lover to feel like they were second place in her heart. I also like how the way Tadashi convinced her to go out with him by saying he liked Mami's company and would reassure her that he isn't bothered by how attached she is to her mother. Also Mami was really fun to watch in this and how she was playing and teasing everyone in it. Also I am really like that it was that Tadashi loves Yui and that him and Mami are just friends and their isn't a love triangle with the mother and daughter.

One of the best ones I've ever read, this was just amazing to watch
Fantastic integration of English native speech patterns into the story. No awkward rigid translations and any reference to Japanese culture is subtly transformed. Tadashi becoming "Teddy" is funny as hell, but also notice at 6:07 - sekihan red-bean rice in the Japanese original became special meal and red meat in the dub. Great job!!!

I would have picked the mother, she is straight forward and doesn't beat around the bush. She also doesn't stupidity make you wait for "the right time" then expect you to still feel the same way.

I love how well this little short story was done. I love the idea that a relatively minor, easily worked-out hangup can be the cause of so much grief and tension causing a high school aged girl to not want to date a boy. It's oddly realistic. She's 15-17, she's going to have some... quite dumb ideas about reality that she needs an adult to help her understand are not reality. I love how all that needed to be worked out was this kink allowing Teddy and Yui to go out together, fulfilling their dreams, and I love how Mom had to be there to tell Yui it's ok, just like a mother would. The setup of a "triple date" was a bit of an interesting choice, but it fit well into the plotline of the mother's plan: show Yui being super happy, allowing Teddy to realize that's what he didn't want to give up on. It also showed him that he should certainly give more to the relationship through involving Yui's family because she holds it so dear. It also gave Yui the security to be on this date with Teddy without feeling like mom is being left by the wayside. Then, it also gives mom a chance to say that they've already all gone on an excursion and had their fun together, it's time to let Yui and Teddy be alone. Absolutely well done on mom's end.
Oh and don't think Yui and Mami's shared nickname for this boy went unnoticed. Mami totally came up with that on purpose to give her daughter a subtle push toward making Takashi her own rather than just the boy she dates. Mom wants him to be the father of her grandbabies. It is evident. There is no splitting off from him for Yui unless he really messes up. Motherly instict, I'd say.
This was wonderfully well done. The pacing wasn't so fast that it was unrealistic, which is one of the ways these romance stories easily go. I hope to see more and maybe see these characters get some more screentime, they seem like a cute couple and the dynamic of Yui's need to include Mami but Mami's desire to let her daughter be free would be an interesting twist on the normal romance formula. It can easily lead to more tension, maybe a broken promise (i.e. that Takashi would never not want Mami to be involved), but it can also lead to stronger familial ties. Takashi could find out that Yui's is the family he'd like to see his kids grow up around, making him work even harder to make the relationship stay strong. It could also lead to Mami feeling the urge to see other men because of how happy Yui becomes, an internal struggle between staying loyal to her deceased husband or looking for someone new. A struggle on what's right and whether it might be considered a form of cheating. Hey, who said Mami had to be the ever omniscieng one? She can be a bit irrational too. No matter what, it's a really good setup for a much longer story if the author wants to make it happen. But it also works as a self-contained short story, well done.
I rarely comment on manga vids... but I have to praise this one for being so different. First off, it's a mother complex trope over the typical sister complex. Then it's that the fmc is the one with the complex, which is even rarer. And once you find out the adroable reason was that she didn't want to make her mother lonely...All in all, a very well thought-out and written story and overall really cute. From Yui's love towards her mother and jealousy once she makes friends with Tadashi, to the fact that both the he and the Mami are trying their best to support each others' relationship with the Yui.
Putting delicately it's sweet Yui cares so deeply for her mum and vice versa; but in saying that it's also kind of self destructive to deine herself love solely for Mami when, she has no issue. Tadashii is quite the guy to have waited so long and... accidentally rizzed up Mami at the same time 😅 (and even Mami giving "Teddy" the best kind of advice).
Amazing story! I love this so much! A definite favorite of mine! Mami was so great in helping Tadashi and Yui get together and now the three can be a family all together now! Mami cared for her daughter, now both can be happy knowing Yui is with the boy she loves, and both can share their "Teddy" together as mother and daughter.

Once you're in love, the things that attracted you most to your partner can become points of contention. Confidence, good sense of humor, natural flirt ? All things that other people will also be attracted to. She can't separate her mom and " Teddy " or she will be right back at square one. She will have to let these two have a friendly relationship and not get too jealous or risk alienating one or both. This will be hard as it seems he and her mom understand each other on deeper level that only confident, smart, easygoing types do. Hopefully, once Yui matures, she will be more like her mother.

Tadashi felt like he was simping for Yui. Yui’s reason for rejecting Tadashi isn’t bad at all but I don’t think she should get mad seeing her mother getting close to Tadashi. Then again this is a manga so the MC will always be a simp. It’s weird how I’ve seen stories where MC gets rejected by popular girl and nothing happens but if the popular girl gets rejected by the guy she becomes irritated because she’s beautiful and the guy should have said yes and she resorts to drastic measures or worse becomes a you know what and the guy immediately becomes worried of what will happen to him

I dont get the FMC loving her mom too much thing. Even her mom said it herself that sooner or later she'll have to make her own life because she isn't eternal practically, it just makes the breakup of the first boyfriend in a rather questionable position. Besides that she shouldn't had gotten jealous the moment she rejected the MC, she lost the chance. The story overall is sorta wholesome but has moments that just doesn't make Yui look good or perfect for the MC

FMC loves her mother too much that she had to break up with her first bf even though they were doing just fine just so she wouldnt make her mother feel lonely. Honestly nothing wrong about that, but it just makes me wonder if she really talked to her first bf about it or she just broke up with him suddenly.
Anyway, it was nice that FMC's mother helped the MC to be with her daughter, and FMC learned that there will always be someone that will love her no matter how she clings to her mother too much like the MC, and should give him a chance.

Honestly, I want a scene where the main character (MC) tells the female main character (FMC) that he's jealous of her for having a great mom like FMC's mom. FMC asks MC, "Did your mother not love you enough?, if not i can help you to make your mother to love you just like my mother love me." to which MC replies, "Joke on you, I don't have parents since I was born." This revelation makes FMC feel terrible, that she swear that she will love him as much as she love her mother and she will tried her best to not become mommy girl anymore.

First of all, congratulations to everyone involved in this story. Good illustrations, good comedy, deep and charming characters and great voice acting.
Usually in these stories where the girl rejects the guy, the reasons are the most idiotic possible. Most of the time, it's because she isn't honest with her feelings, in other words, tsundere. But here, to everyone's surprise, she wasn't selfish but she thought about her mother. Well, it's difficult for every young person to deal with death, even more so when it comes to their family. Her fear is completely rational.
Unfortunately, there comes a time when we will have to move on without the most important people in our lives, so it is important to enjoy every minute with them. But of course, without giving up your dreams for that reason.
I know it was supposed to be a comment on the story and it ended up becoming a big epiphany but only good stories make us feel that way.
