Hi Aaliyah! When I first heard this, I was surprised at the resonance in his voice. I think you're right that the brightness is at least partly nasal. He creates a slightly menacing sound that fits this song perfectly. I'd like to see him bring a touch of clean vocals to Lorna Shore for accent purposes. Love the screaming at the end. I don't think I would consider myself a "fan" of sleep token, but I do enjoy them when I hear them. And good god when I first saw this my jaw dropped. He's got such an amazing voice in so many different ways. I'm really looking forward to the day when he releases some more mixed clean/harsh covers

I don't know if you're familiar with him or not, but if you want to hear some insane vocals on the other side of the spectrum, just do a deep dive into Dimash performances. SOS, Sinful Passion etc. I love all forms of extreme technical talent, and I think you'll like it too!
If you aren't familiar, he's a got a 7 octave range, and sings from baritone to full soprano! It's genuinely crazy to watch.

I was wondering if you were going to get around to this! Such a good cover. The only thing I wish from this, is to hear him sing without an eq effect on his voice. I know those tones are all him, but there's clearly some kind of effect eq'ed in. Still amazing though!

You should check out some Sleep Token. As good as Will does with this cover, the original vocal is unmatched in my humble opinion. Sleep Token can do no wrong.
Also, regarding your comments about the production quality: the instrumental here is ripped straight from the album. They guy who did the mixing is named George Lever, and needless to say, he's very good at what he does lol.

I'm a fan of Sleep Token, but I don't like their newest song. Oh and Will's version of Chokehold (my favorite Sleep Token song) is so much better than the original it's insane!

This is the first time I have seen Will sing clean too, it’s quite a surprise - he has a pleasant voice doesn’t he?

I’m going to suggest just one to add to your list, it’s a band called The Warning, they are 3 Mexican sisters I have followed since 2014; the youngest was 10 years old then, they covered Enter Sandman by Metallica and it went viral! 8 years on they have been touring with several top bands including Halestorm, Guns n Roses ! They are doing Headlining tour in Europe in 2023 which should really spread the word how good they are. They play an updated good old school rock style and write all of their own material, everything they write is to do with life and times, everything has a deal meaning!

i love will ramos and i love lorna shore but you can TASTE the autotune when he sings.
Sleep Token use effects on their singing and this cover is mixed to sound like Sleep Token. I wouldn't call it autotune exactly, but yes you can taste the effects.
A lot of reverb, but no autotune ^^

Vocal effects such as reverb but this isn’t autotune. Not all vocal fine tuning is auto tune, this one is just mixed with the similar vocal effects to the original to provide the same energy. You can still here the skill in his voice underneath the effects.
