Yikes idk about this one being better lol. Will is good, but hes being crouched by the effects on his voice a lot. While Vessel is a pure beast live or in studio. I love Wills cover, but it's not even close to being better than Vessel let alone as good. I would say Johnny's cover is better, if you haven't heard it I can link it.
I mean preferences is fine, and I appreciate you enjoy Will more, but at the same time I find it crazy lol. I wouldnt expect Will to be able to do what Vessel can do with his voice, but Vessels voice is what gives the music the emotion.
@@Smithysmithin the vocals are mixed the exact same obviously will doesn't have the inflection vessel does but I can guarantee you the amount of vocal mixing that happened is nearly identical between the two, will is by no means as good as vessel as a singer its just that this song fits what will is capable of better than sleep tokens other songs.
Yes, please check out Sleep Token - they don't really fit into any one genre, which is why their fans love them, just know going in that you need to leave your genre expectations at the door. The talent is amazing. Vessel's voice is so unique, and Vessel 2 (the drummer) is insanely good.

Honestly for me, will smokes the original, his take adds more anguish, sadness and anger and makes it far more powerful of a piece than the original. I also happen to not be that big of a fan of sleep tokens vocalists vocal tone and expression but he is certainly very talented. Will just brings this song to a place that really speaks to me.
Yup I pretty much feel the same way as you, I just think there's a good handful of talented vocalists who stand out and even sound good, but honestly Will is just extraordinarily unique with the tone of his vocals. it's like next level singing that only very few are BORN with. Will is a combination of gifted vocal tone with dedication to his craft/talent. I've went back and listened to sleep token and while the singer sounds good...Wills tone is just unmatched in the way it makes you FEEL. Same with other deathcore bands/vocalists everyone compares to Will, I go listen to them and while they're excellent, again they just don't compare to the tone of will. Will hits you like legendary music like led zeppeline, micael jackson, ayesha keys, queen etc etc hit you. Next level.
