My dog Rocky passed away today. He was a maremma and he was the best dog anyone could ask for. I’ve been crying non stop all day. Rocky loved watching movies with us and we put this movie on and he loved it. His personality was exactly like Oddball’s, Loyal, Caring, and Playful. I didn’t go with my parents to bury him because I couldn’t bare even looking at him so instead I watched Oddball and cried my eyes out. Believe me or not I honestly don’t care. Rip Rocky, I miss you so much already and I will always love you.
So sorry to hear about your terrible loss I know what it's like to lose such a precious friend. My heart goes out to you. I cry with you. God bless you.
From under 10 penguins in 2005 to a healthy population of 182 in 2017, yeah I'd call the guardian dogs a success. Although the current guardian sisters are retiring, their puppy replacements will soon take over! Great job Warnambool.

These dogs are worth their weight in gold, however people, please remember, they are a working dog, and should never be on a suburban house block, that is a cruel way for them to live, they need room to run and to bark without disturbing the neighbours.

There's a trend in certain breed popularity after films come out featuring a certain dog (labradors with 'Marley & Me,' huskies with 'Snow Dogs' etc) but this is really a dog that rarely does well in an urban or suburban setting.
Magnificent, so looking forward to the Movie...What a great bit of tourism for Warrnambool and surrounding towns.....Come on lets all go and see this fantastic movie when it hits town. A true Movie made in a true town in Victoria Australia.....

I'm pretty sure you could order it from the Canadian site and have it shipped to the U.S. I would like to get a copy of Adele's 25 cd with the 3 bonus songs but it's only available in the U.S. from Target, I may order a copy. Hope you can get a copy of Oddball, good luck.

When I saw this I was like My dog (exactly like oddball! so cute) he could be like oddball by protecting penguins and then I realise there's no penguins in Australia. presides zoo's and all. But this was a funny film...and sad. But I think this is one of the saddest dog movie's ever. I don't really like Red Dog or Marley and me but this one I do. I play this movie every night and sleep halfway through it sometimes. But I love this. :)

In fact, I was surprised that there are foxes in Australia. So I Googled it, and just as I had predicted, they were brought over to Australia for the fox hunting sport in the 1830s, and now they've become an invasive species. ):
Yeah, we get some foxes here hanging out in local cemeteries. I've seen them myself a few times dashing by in the street. I've also had some friends with chooks in the suburbs get them nabbed by foxes who sneak into the chicken coup.
