there is no collateral beauty; it is a subjective quantifier in the subset of pattern governed by an idea of aesthetics. we have a symmetry though, humans find patterns repetitive as beautiful because an ending gestures to a beginning, and a closed loop is perfect....but symmetry is greater than beautiful, symmetry can be terrifying, thinking of time, love and death is just misdirection. they are all patterns overlapped and superimposed. there is no beauty, only a systemic knee-jerk reaction in us to call it beauty, as the truth is too terrible to behold. death is visceral and ugly; love is a slow poison that kills surely, and time is a prison of oxygen, that as long as you recognize it, you are aware of its diminishing limitation; the sooner you realize it, the sooner you realize how much possibilities you have, but you will also be aware that at the moment of knowing, you are faced with great amount of limitation. Life is a Death Sentence, and Love is the Prison Warden that tortures you.
Very well written and very true. If you're alluding to life being a shade darker because you interpret his words as depressing 'Rock King' would you say that acceptance of a subjectively crueler reality is better than internment in a sweeter delusion?
Watch or read the play A Taste of Honey. It has it as a common theme; is love worth the pain it can cause, or would never having love be better? It's a complicated and difficult choice that is made depending on what we know, who we care about, and in what way.
This was on the ad for a video and its one ad that I couldn't stop watching! Looks like an incredible movie
Id believe that as much as I believe a rock can swim
This looks good! Reminds me of the redemption tale in A Christmas Tale!
