Such a damn powerful way to start off a campaign. I remember the terror and helplessness I felt when I first saw this, and the adrenaline I felt when the charge began. Scenes like these can really make a game.
yup but you can enable the censor in the game settings and it won't show the dying soldier, mason is just trying to break through a bullet proof window for no reason lol
Let's try to figure out the Black Ops time line: 1936: Assuming Mason and Woods are age 25 in the events of The Bay of Pigs, this is the year they were born ...... 1961: Mason and Woods participate in Bay of Pigs at age 25. We assume Mendez is born ....... 1968: Woods in supposedly killed Between 1968 to 1986, Woods is no longer considered dead. ....... 1979: Alex Mason aka Sector is born ....... 1986: Woods goes missing, and Mason goes after him. Mason and Woods will now be 50 years old, and only Alex Mason seemed to age. Menendez seems 25. ...... Sometime between 1986 and 2025, Mason dies of either natural causes or your actions in the story line. Also Hudson dies and other stuff. ..... 2025: the events of the "present time" black ops 2. Sector would be 46 years old (looks 30 if that, wait to go Mason), Menendez is 64 years old (looks slightly older, but maybe because of battle wounds) and Woods is going strong at 89 years old. He may also die, along with Menendez, it all depends. ..... I made this time line because I thought the ages and timings made no sense, but these seem more plausible now. If read all the way, thank you.
I wondered the same. I saw how some of the characters looked younger then they actually are. I think the devs just left them as they are to continue with the story line. Thanks for making the list though ☺
I've been saying as of recently that if BO2 came out on today's hardware, we'd have a high chance to have the 2 eras in Multiplayer. 80s and 2025 By that I mean like we'd have Nuketown 2025 and Nuketown Classic and we'd probably have a different loudout for both eras. But that's a lot of programming time that could be spent elsewhere.
Just went through the black ops 1 campaign bout 2 weeks ago during my thanksgiving break and I saw I had not played this game in 5 years and now at the time of writing this I will be getting out for Christmas break. Bro I am so ready to go back home and play this. It felt good playing these games again, so much nostalgia.

I still think it’s the best CoD (it has the perfect balance between the Campaign, Multiplayer [which is definitely the most balanced out of any multiplayer], and Zombies).
