Also #4 became smoother and more relaxed on the head and shoulders, one of my favs in later videos. (Ok looks like they are also rowing in a headwind here...)
What was the purpose of the double tandem? Was it only for training purposes or could you have taken a layout like that to tokyo? Assuming it's possible for a layout like that to win Olympic gold.

It’s a valid rig. It went quite well. We don’t get around to the triple tandem which is one we’ve used before down here in Christchurch.
