Richardson leaned in a little to early, she'll learn. Great race!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes good one
Yes, she was actually ahead with three or four meters to go, then got outleaned at the end.
She's a freshman she probably hasn't many close races prior....it's a learning experience but grace race for the fans
Am I seeing wrong? Richardson has a whole foot across the line before they hit the line
@@FLM0357 It's the torso/chest that counts, not the hands, legs or feet.
Yea. She leaned early. She was already straightening back up when she actually hit the line.
Yup same thing I said... She had her beat
Agree, I came looking for this comment.
Had she had not leaned at all and ran through the line she would have won straight up .
Lol but Richardson’s foot looked like it crossed the line first.
@@razorraysolarsavings70 Its about your torso, not your feet.
Im watching this so many times over and it still looks like richardson won the race
King Los67 at least it looks like her foot crossed the line first, I guess it’s the lean that takes it all oh well
There's a camera at the line that they consult in situations like this that will clearly show the winner... And who's torso crosses first... Trying to dispute with your naked eye is ridiculous...
@@jaye501 oh okay.. I didnt know that
@@kinglos6746 no prob... :-)
In such situations the head to chest body parts are used to separate who wins ...
All those beautiful black women out there! 😍😍
True
Black or are the brown like soil
Mr. Red Nose lol fr, I looked at that comment like 🙄🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Beautiful for sure, but if I was one of them, I'd wear my hair natural. With that being said, everyone is free to do as they please with their own hair.
@Mr. Red Nose Way off base.
Richardson makes me click on every track video and I have zero interest in track.
Same
Same
Mayson Jenkins fr made me laugh😂😂😂
did you saw the one when her wig dropped off?
Facts
That was a Tie if ever there was a tie.
Ken James Jr you can’t have a tie man
Nico Prijs You can have a tie, but the automated official finish line system is running at an extremely high frame rate and will clearly show even the tiniest fraction of a lead.
@@CharmsDad meaning you can't have a tie 🤦♂️
@@why-even-try-brotendo Actually you can if both cross at the exact time. There have been ties in races.
"They was a tie"?
You need to be on RUclips watching correct grammar videos instead of sprints.
Who's inches and why does he decide who won the race
How do you know inches is a "he"?
@@luthertimberlake9451 dont even get started bitch
Pure ignorance. Someone has to decide and they do it with rules, not feelings!
underrated
If there ever was a tie this was definitely it. Very close, but congratulations to the both of them.
The first thing a coach tells his athlete is to LEAN at the line, it is eveything even when you have a clear lead.
Richardson DID lean, just too early
She had her beat and leaned way to early
I never saw Fraser lean. I don't know if I miss it all the time or she really doesn't! Please correct me if I'm wrong!
@@sidharthapatra4296 read the previous two comments
@@demetriusmiddleton1246 yes but not at the LINE.
I don't really care who wins in some of these competitions. I'm just glad to have the chance to see some amazing athletes in action, and wonderful sportsmanship.
Sha'Carri is one of the finest women on planet earth 😍😍😍
Zion stfu she bad asf
Zion lol
@Zion get your gay ass outta here. The b fine ASF to me. Take your women hating ass down the road This about T&F You straight up gay
She aight
Zion whats wrong with hyping ng average chicks 🤔
Idk about this one.
But both of these women are amazing. 💋💋
💋
They use a Color EtherLynx Vision Times Camera ..............
1st angle actually deceived me, looked like Richardson pulled it out.
I’m surprised she didn’t win by an eyelash literally
LMAOOOOO!!!
Don't be silly😂
@@kiwishbj1 it's only only facts though
@@aliveandawake9093 They are all so pretty though :...
@@kiwishbj1 precisely why they don't need all that fake stuff
Strong very talented nothing can compare to black woman beauty
Honestly, looks like a tie for 1st.
Sha’Carri’s feet crossed that finish line first though. 🤔
@Kafala then people would easily just reach out their arms which I would say isn't really fair
It's the torso that counts.
It's the torso that has to cross the line first. It wouldn't be fair if it was legs or arms since some sprinters are taller and have longer limbs than others
Kafala
So if someone in second position stick their hand across the line in front of the leader they won the race, if you say it should be any body part.
EssenceofJa Tarot So what? The rules are clear and well established.
Richardson looked so relaxed too relaxed actually, she could have leaned more her foot crossed first but wait til next season she can easily be unbeatable. Annelus REALLY fought for that.
With a 10.75 100 that 200 has huge potential but she’s young! She’ll grow
Big-ups to them both. Hope to see them in Tokyo 2020 and beyond winning medals.
i love when they get close together and they legs start moving in sync
Does look pretty epic doesn't it
Sha carri is fine aff omg 🥵😍
Simp
Yes lawd
Timing of the lean is so important. Great race.
3:15 It looks like a tie 2 me!!!
They just said look at the chest the Lsu girl chest was like .5 inche behind the leader
Bruh they cheated her watch the video again and look toward the end slow down the playback it’s clear Richards won
@@charmboy11 na the LSU girl chest was not ahead of the other girl
At about the 3:10 mark..it looks like she had it.
The USC girl won.
Over and done with.
Fight On!✌🏼😎
The girl with the blond hair leaned too early. The other girl timed it perfectly
Still good Carri She’s just a freshman you got many years ahead of you 💪🏾💪🏾
Richardson got all the makings of an all time great
I remember watching this on the tv with my family they went CRAZY .
Sha'carri is a sure bet for gold in Olympics in 2021 and to add on that she's 🔥.
damn fast forward to now
The track cameras are far more accurate than any one watching this video from their living room tv etc. Anglerne the taller athlete had a definite advantage and won.
Advantage wasn't definite, the timing sealed that deal. This was actually Richardson's race to steal and record to beat. She leaned WAY too early in hopes her body would still be able to out run Annelus coming back up. It was just poorly timed. This was a great race and event though when it took place.
Maybe I'm bugging but I saw Richardson right foot cross that line before Annelus's head and chest review in .25 slowmotion 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Yea but still Annelus's chest crossed the line before Richardson's chest. It doesn't make sense, but poilicies or rules never do either because there's always an exception just like this finish; Clearly Richardson finished first so technically she should've won because it is a race. Amazing race tho, lucky win for Annelus.
Leo Azir It’s the chest buddy. That’s what counts!
@@scorpion9124 if you think about it it makes a lot of sense
For example if we're equally fast the longer legs would always win
Or you'd have really awkward lunges on the last stride that could lead to injury, trying to get the foot out way in front of the torso
She’s shorter too so her foot crosses first LITERALLY proves she was ahead of her. The other girl got longer legs
What a beauty. Hope to see her run faster next year
Oooohhh...Too close to call, looks like a TIE to me even with the lean..Great race...
That's why you have technology
World Junior record (U20) was 22.17 ...Syd McLaughlin ran 22.39 at 18.
After she gets the WR in the 400mH in Tokyo, she's coming for the 400m, 200m & 100mH.
That's too much, I only see McLaughlin focusing on the 400m, 400H and the 4×400.
You're seeing McLaughlin as the next Felix which is fine but too early to call.
in 2 years Richardson will dominate the world
You must haven't seen her against the Pros lately?? I don't think so.
Collegiate performances are deceptive.
Only if she gets close to or breaks her PB consistently.
@@drew63215 Patience.
drew63215 calm down kid... she’s still only 19 and is a freshman. She will be fine
RICHARDSON'S FOOT LOOKED LIKE IT CROSSED THE LINE FIRST. VERY CLOSE RACE
The race is won by your torso, that is why they lean.
@@avionterria7855 I HEARD HER
U see how humble she is when she dont come first 🤣🤣🤣
I mean isn’t that how it goes why would she celebrate if she didn’t win
These women are amazing.
Lol the commentator lady... it’s not the head that determines the finish it’s the chest.
The commentator guy: whoo so close
Also the commentator lady... an eyelash
If you want to know the value of a microsecond, ask a 100m runner
First time with all the technology I've seen a tie..?
Tie. Two beautiful shorties at the same damn time.
This is the biggest looking tie ive ever seen in my life
2:51 They are LITERALLY flying!!! This shot is CRAZY!
I love Sha’Carri Richardson she is one of my inspirations ( I run track btw)
It was a great race. I was sitting near the finish line and everybody was holding their breath waiting for the results.
Did y’all see them cakes tho
😂😂😂
Lol
Yes
The woman who won is a strong person, both are very good athletes, very beautiful also........
Switch the speed to the lowest and at 1:17 u can see Richardson’s foot land first on the finish line.
Nicole Reyes its not the feet that counts its the chest
@@Princess.Kaxeyyy yes yes u know it
That's so wrong Richardson def won I'm glad she is shining now
*an eyelash* got me 💀
That was petty 😭😭
Richardson pulled out too early
The rule to determine the winner is the runner that hits the line with their head and chest wins. I remember from all my AAU days running since the age of 11 years old.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THE KENYAN RUNNERS AAU TRACK CLUB, BROOKLYN NY
I'm glad your still running like the WINd. 😊😚
Wow!!! What strong women.
Richardson had a foot and hand over the line and other girl had a head .......rich won this to me its a running sport so it should be who feet go over line first. as its the feet that getting you over line
That’s not how it works dear, it’s the torso that count because of the position in which your legs are
Not how it works lmaooo
That's NOT how it work...smh..
That ain’t how it’s works, it’s the chest/torso
Gotta give credit to Richardson. She congratulated the winner and didnt balk or complain. She is a champion like all the rest. Those are some of the fastest women in the world who are competitors at the top of their game. Anybody can win or lose depending on their day.
Isn't this an old video? I mean, it was reported that Richardson turn pro.
Why did they repost this old race.
Yeah I was DEFINITELY paying attention to the race
Richardson started her lean 1 meter too early because her body wanted to "get the race over with". The winner had a tad more stamina
Her leg crossed the line 1st that girl just was bigger congratulations to both of those young Queen that was remarkable
Love how they all congratulated her at the end 🥰🥰
Richardson 😍
What counts the head or the fist touches the line first?
Chest
Love it! Class all around.
She broke Allyson Felix's world junior record of 22.18 set at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece
Came here to look for TT Terry & found mos Cambrea Sturgis got 3d here. Werk !
Get it Angie ....represent Cali ...go usc .... love you too though shakarri
how come its not judged by the first foot planted after the tape I mean that makes more since than the chest.
I see Sha'carri is working on her sportsmanship. I respect that.
NC A&T cold steel got 3rd and 8th small HBCU getting it in .. outstanding program.. go Aggies
That was so good ❤️
The camera for photo finish should be on both sides of the line and top for finishes like this
It is!
If u have playback speed at .25 when there reviewing it the white hair girl foot got past the line first??
Yes but in the video they explain that its all about who's chest crosses the line first. Not feet or even the head.
Richardson won that race
That looks like a tie...I don't know where they saw 1 winner.
Richardson got robbed. My eyes saw what I saw. She was over that line first
Yes ma'am..., Sha carrie crossed the first..., Clear as day!
I always thought it was the head. Learn something everyday
Yass ladies ! Great job 👏🏾!! I thought Richardson foot went in front of her and hit the line first, or am I tripping?
I'm 12 and I wanna be one of the fastest girls in the world i workout and I run alot I try my best
What are your times?
What a race! 💯
Please do a 2018 NCAA 10k national championship or 8k
She is soooooo CUTIE!!!!!!
Richardson is amazing!
Wow... Super close.. Richardson's foot crossed the line first... Wow... Crazy..
Richardson leaned early for sure, but at worst it looked like a tie... she showed great sportswomanship!!!! CLASSY......
I love spoiler thumbnails
That was really too close to tell. But it's the Leaning in at the chest, not the head. Great finale though. Both ladies did awesome job.
How did that wig stay on her head 🤣😆😂
Release the photo
The young lady who finished 3rd Cambria Sturgis barely took it by a eyelash next year watch out for her continuing the new tradition of sprinting at North Carolina A&T.
One more step and she was gonna pass her
"An eyelash" 😂😂😂
🤣🤣
Wow I don't know if it could have been any closer!!
I love these woman
All these people commenting and nobody still has gotten it right. Look at the point where they both cross the finish line. 2:23 and 2:45 and again 3:07 Richardson's left hand and right foot extends past the finish line before Annelus head lean.
Not according to the rules. The chest is what is measured as crossing first.
Why is nobody talking about how close 3rd/4th was! :-o Only two thousandths of a second made the difference for winning the bronze medal!
I keep seeing Richardson!
Richardsons feet landed first im not even a fan of her but i 100% review it she really won
Its chest
