      There's a camera at the line that they consult in situations like this that will clearly show the winner... And who's torso crosses first... Trying to dispute with your naked eye is ridiculous...

      It's the torso that has to cross the line first. It wouldn't be fair if it was legs or arms since some sprinters are taller and have longer limbs than others

    Richardson looked so relaxed too relaxed actually, she could have leaned more her foot crossed first but wait til next season she can easily be unbeatable. Annelus REALLY fought for that.

    The track cameras are far more accurate than any one watching this video from their living room tv etc. Anglerne the taller athlete had a definite advantage and won.

      Advantage wasn't definite, the timing sealed that deal. This was actually Richardson's race to steal and record to beat. She leaned WAY too early in hopes her body would still be able to out run Annelus coming back up. It was just poorly timed. This was a great race and event though when it took place.

      Yea but still Annelus's chest crossed the line before Richardson's chest. It doesn't make sense, but poilicies or rules never do either because there's always an exception just like this finish; Clearly Richardson finished first so technically she should've won because it is a race. Amazing race tho, lucky win for Annelus.

      Or you'd have really awkward lunges on the last stride that could lead to injury, trying to get the foot out way in front of the torso

    Gotta give credit to Richardson. She congratulated the winner and didnt balk or complain. She is a champion like all the rest. Those are some of the fastest women in the world who are competitors at the top of their game. Anybody can win or lose depending on their day.

    All these people commenting and nobody still has gotten it right. Look at the point where they both cross the finish line. 2:23 and 2:45 and again 3:07 Richardson's left hand and right foot extends past the finish line before Annelus head lean.

      Not according to the rules. The chest is what is measured as crossing first.

    Why is nobody talking about how close 3rd/4th was! :-o Only two thousandths of a second made the difference for winning the bronze medal!
