Great job Margot! Nice to have a 5 string guitar for playing Keith Richards style without having to dump the E string:) Rolling Stones was my favorite group growing up. Who makes that guitar...nice quality sound?
Hi Margot. You are an amazing talent. You are doing a lot to bring cheer into others' lives and to make people happy. So I hope that you will be very happy all of your days.
I loved this cover. Well done! You took a difficult song and made it look easy. I liked how you arranged the song and adjusted the lyrics ever so slightly to your own style. Beautiful cover. Subscribing to your channel.
BRILLIANT...Your guitar work rivals Keith's on this one...and I don't pass out compliments like that to just anyone...would love to hear you do a version of "Sway" or "Dead Flowers" from Sticky Fingers. Thanks so much...you are inspirational!
@UC_JkKEwmWRLYhniTIFOXZIw That's a 5 String Tenor Guitar, interestingly if you replace the A String (the Low G) with a 12 String Guitar High G then you can start picking away at some Banjo tunes with a Guitar sound, & use it as a way to practice the Banjo really quietly. People would take this 5 String Open G thing a step further by replacing the A String w/ a 12 String High G to get a Banjo sound.
Bonjour Margot ! Cette chanson tourne dans ma tête depuis la version géniale de nos 4 stones au concert "Together at home", c'était quand même le clou de la soirée et ta version est très bien aussi!
Margot, I have recently found you and your friends. I love the songs you choose to play and I see you have many originals also. I will be listening to them soon. You have a great voice and an excellent playing style. I appreciate your 5 string guitar. Why waste a tuner if you are going to throw away the 6th string like Keith.
Thanks Randy for your comments ! Actually I’ve just released a new song I’ve written ! Hope you’ll appreciate it ! It has another 5 string guitar on it !
This is fantastic. Your voice is so great. The only thing I would change is to reduce the processing of the vocals. No reverb or auto tune? or whatever it is. Keep it raw. That is what gives the Stones their great sound.
@@margotcotten Yes, too much reverb and whatever digital processing was used. Compression?.. It's good that auto tune was not used. Lots of young musicians seem to use that nowadays. I hate it. I like to hear it raw with all the mistakes, especially with Stones blues songs.

I had a dream where I heard a song that sounded like "You Can't Always Get What You Want" performed on an acoustic guitar and sung by a woman. The topic seemed to have been about a bridge falling down. While this wasn't the song in my dream, I quite like your cover and it's weird to find a song online by way of a dream.

I knew she was gonna meet her connection
At her feet was a footloose man
[Chorus]
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes
Well, you might find

Ahh, yeah-h-h
Oh
[Verse 2]
And I went down to the demonstration
To get my fair share of abuse
Singing, "We're gonna vent our frustration
If we don't, we're going to blow a 50-amp fuse"
Sing it to me, honey
[Chorus]

To get your prescription filled
I was standing in line with Mr. Jimmy
And, man, did he look pretty ill
We decided that we would have a soda
My favorite flavor, cherry red
I sung my song to Mr. Jimmy
Yeah, and he said one word to me, and that was "dead"
I said to him:
[Chorus]
You can't always get what you want, well no
You can't always get what you want, I tell you, baby
You can't always get what you want, no
But if you try sometime
You just might find, uh, mm

Well, I could tell by her blood-stained hands
Sing it

You can't always get what you want, ooh yeah, child
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime, you just might find
