I’ve worked and drank in a lot of pubs for a long time and it’s a fairly universal respect over here. Certainly would never start a fight over it. Bar man did everything any barman would do here.

I don’t remember particular episode or anything; that’s just info picked up throughout the seasons. Edit: He’s also inspired by a real man called “Jimmy Jesus” although he was never known to have connections to the Peaky Blinders or any other gang.

He then gets shot, watches John die, has the fucking mafia visit him while recovering, kill his bodyguard, put a gun to his head....then tells the KID that his own fucking MOTHER had made a deal with them to spare his life....one that apparently was known to Tommy the entire time. He tells his mom that's not right, tries to talk her out of It. Of course, it was all bs. He neglects to tell Tommy this, because again, it was his fucking MOTHER who he would be SENTENCING TO DEATH by doing so So, he's lost all of Tommy's trust but is sent to America to oversee the most important parts of the Shelby empire, comes back after wall street collapses, wants to be forgiven for fucking up and not selling before the collapse (Because EVERYONE was lied to about what was happening, even in real life) gets accepted back into the company at the end of season 5, and before Tommy can even get finished informing the rest of the family at the meeting, he suddenly stands up and says he should be the king, fuck all of you. That's fucking ridiculous. Objectively absurd.
