One thing I've learned from other channels lately, is if you roll up and down with the tennis ball like he shows first, you're just massaging the muscle - that's probably not what you need. You want to soften (decompress) the muscle, which means keeping pressure on one spot at a time. Try just applying pressure for 10-15 second in each spot before you move. You also really should do a light warmup first - just 5 minutes of light exercise to get the blood moving, your muscles will be much more malleable. Two little changes that made a big difference for me. 🙂

@@ElectricAngel181 Hey Kathy. I just worked it like Brad shows up against the wall. All the muscles, the traps, fascia, tendons etc. needed work but I could feel relief straight away. It's tricky but if you move your arm to different positions and don't mind a bit of pain as you attack those knots you can get real mobility and feel the muscles getting loose and allowing you to regain good posture. Work either side of the spine in those 3 positions Bob shows to start off with but then try going round the shoulder blade too. The stretch where you lie on your back with the rolled up towel between the shoulder blades and let your arms hang out to open your chest really helps too. Good luck! Let me know how you get on. With the tennis ball in a sock it's like someone is giving you a massage but instead of you having to tell them where you'd appreciate it best and how hard to press you can control the pressure and location yourself. Be careful though, the knots will be sore but if you are in the right spot you can have the ball apply pressure and then just kind of rock and move ever so slightly to knead the muscle fibres and make them loose and strong like they should be. Can't recommend these guys enough though. I was in pretty bad shape from bad posture and abusing my body in my work (digging and laying patios, turf etc.) and a few weeks of physio using some lessons from these guys has helped me approach my work differently with more mobility and strength too. So much of modern life just draws you in to bad posture habits, you've just got to keep reminding yourself to: tuck your chin, open your chest, shoulders back, engage your core (really important) and feel good about yourself when you remember to: sit up straight, stand tall, lift correctly, tuck your chin in etc.. Good luck! You can do it! Start on those rounded shoulders though. You can do it!

Big question please. If you have six degenerated discs and the seventh disc is fine, can you still do this exercise to fix the bump on the neck area ❓. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank for your wonderful information that you give. 😊
Been doing this a couple of days now and it's working good. One trick I've found is after easing into the tennis ball (while on the wall) is to lighten up enough on it to roll over the spine not applying ANY pressure but to just get to the other side before easing into the tennis ball again. It seems that doing this, I can get to the exact opposite spot as the first.
I was just noticing this happening to my 40 year old body from being on the phone & the way I sleep at night so this is great! I was using a specific bra with a upper back support to keep reminding me about my posture. That has helped but I also started laying more flat in bed or if I’m watching tv I put a pillow on my upper back instead of just my head only that will keep my head positioned up(if that make sense?) This is awesome! Thanks for all these options!

Probably someone who could've believe they pushed a ridiculously priced back pod that should cost no more than $10.
I have what the Physiotherapist told me is a Dowagers hump, I hate it, it makes me so self conscious. This is very interesting
People that have cushing's also have back humps in the same area called Buffalo humps which are fat pads. It is important to talk about this as well. A tennis ball will not get rid of neck humps caused by cushings
You’re right. Cushing’s Disease is caused by high cortisol.
You guys are hilarious. Found you through "the Texas boys" vlog. Thanks. You reminded me. Hubby and I will catch up on this again. 😇
My chiropractor said the buffalo hump can be from a thyroid problem - have seen this in the women in our family.
Find in my family both sexes. My. Male friend has it bad
Maybe the hump is causing the thyroid problem and not the thyroid problems creating the hump.
What is it with people that literally blame every condition or problem they have on thyroid
I was told it is posture and weight related.
It’s called Cushing syndrome it’s caused by excess cortisol.
My roommate is a famous 80s guitarist who spent many years practicing 8 hours a day. He is now 67 years old and he is hunch back now. He looks horrible. What can he do? Is there a surgery? Please let me know if surgery will help. He really is a hunch back
Who has actually got rid of there neck hump
There's been several people who have :)
@@BobandBrad show me! Where are they at? Where are the pictures with no surgery involved?
@@ygbodybuilder3023 right!
I really needed this today , I woke up with a stiff neck and upper back, , going to try these. Thanks Bob and Brad
Hello Brenda and how are you doing?
Where do you get the green thing?
@@annlafontaine6972 same question.
I LOVE your opening phrases!!! Today’s is beautiful!!! :) bottom line...be kind.
Hello Melody and how are you doing?
Hey @@francescobenjamin5537!! So sorry I didn’t respond sooner!! Have a happy week!!
love the banter you two have together :)
I don't.
Big question please.
If you have six degenerated discs and the seventh disc is fine, can you still do this exercise to fix the bump on the neck area ❓. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank for your wonderful information that you give. 😊
First it’s for his “friend “ …..then it’s for HIM at the cabin.🤣😜
Great video. Where can someone order the green disk to help with the exercises? Thanks.
I'm going to try this... sounds good. Thanks!
These guys sound like they’ve had a few drinks before starting the show. 🥃🥃🥃
What brand bra?
@@jemirjemirp3267 older Victoria secrets sports bra. Unfortunately they don’t make it anymore or anything like it from the new ownership from Victoria secrets.
I need some recommendations myself for some good bras if anyone has one or a few… pretty please?
Nobody is more self-conscious to me I broke for vertebrates for them to 679 but not all at once lack of calcium whatever one that have an osteoporosis in my thirties but anyway I'll be going crazy trying to hold Straight Talk you not standing up straight using all the deck message bars on the mccrank's is definitely what I mean I'm so self-conscious to this is crazy I'll be 58 years old soon probably another 5 months but anyway I was at the beach this evening and there was a fire or some boat was stalking his helicopters around here was watching stand up against my car with your group of young teenagers don't ask me if I do yoga or something and I guess the way I look straight it's unbelievable and she's like 17 years old asking if I do yoga stand up straight force myself to the perfect spot so I can possibly do but I do actually have over. Everybody season show them what it's really annoying I even about the point where this doctor wants to give me a full spine infusion I really like to do it but I'm afraid to do it because she doesn't tell me that he's mainly doing it for like you mainly doing it for pain so I don't know if somebody can tell me if I should go for that. My nephew's you with rods and screws 422l to let always like stressing out for anybody can I see answer for me if I had that confusion when I still be able to stretch myself or will it be locked up and it went to the doctor if you not tell me he ain't either tells me that yes you will be straight on my spine or maybe nothing at all and I don't like I said I do have osteoporosis if I died tomorrow Josh 5 years from now my posture worries me the most aggravating in the most entire 5 years from now if I can have this operation or 30% stronger straight I will do it for somebody let me know if I should do this somebody let me know please if I should let this talk to this teacher to T12 infusion so I won't respond sorry for the misspelling I'm not typing I'm using talk-to-text
Thank you very much for all your advise. Very helpful!!! I have a question: do you have tips for chondocondritus? In Holland its called Tietze syndrome.
My dog knows about free 🎾 We pass the tennis court on our walk. It’s fair game for him when it goes over the fence. 🐶😁
What if you have a fusion C3 - T1?
Thanks guys! Very helpful and entertaining! :)
Hey Bob and Brad i love your videos and the way you explain the biomechanics involved in these issues. I have a neck hump and bought somwthing called the Accumobility roller which was advertized as being able to help with neck hump/ "nerd neck" 🤓 however i dont know what exercises to do with it. Do you have any experience with this product?
The body protecting its self...interesting!.. thanks...Great video!
Wow that’s for me . I had cervical surgery in August and they were not able to relieve the compressed nerves. . I’m going to try this . You guys are the best so informative . I hope this helps me? Your the best.
These two are perfect and must be protected at all costs
high guys haven't watched for a year. neck started bothering me again. started putting chin in, and lifting head with a towel and your other recommendations and wango tango good again. thanks guys.
What do you do with the towel?
@@jemirjemirp3267 TAKE THE TOWEL IN BOTH HANDS AND PLACE IT UNDER THE BUMP AT THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD AND GENTLY PULL UP AND IT WILL TAKE TENSION OFF VERTIBRAE. WORKS VERY GOOD FOR UNPINCHING PINCHED NERVES. GOOD LUCK.
Hi guys, you remind me of Art and Simon in height comparisons. Thanks for the stretching tips.
Grateful to you Bob & Brad the most famous chiropractors in the internet. I have a Buffalo hump. Its been a while since I have it. I work in front of computer a lot. Coz of this my whole body posture is effected. I already lost some weight. But the fat from the neck back area is still there. I will follow these exercises. These sound great. 👍
How's the hump now? Is there any difference?
How is your hump now?
I bought a backpod. Feels good. Worth the $$ 😊
Edit a week later: it takes a while to learn to position it right and move it to the good spots. But feels so good. I had a long hard work day, I'm laying on the back pod. On the floor on my mat. Ahhh! Feels good!
Did you have a hump as well?
most brilliant explanation of the cause of this thank you so much. Regards from south africa.
They redefined "balls to the wall".
Hi Bob & Brad,
How many reps/sets of each exercise per day? Thanks so much xx
You guys are informative while playfully entertaining-best delivery of education.
Can you guys do a video on the different exercises and stretches with the backpod?
instead o using the tennis ball, perhaps someone could give you a massage in those areas? I lazy.
What exactly should i feel when i do chin tucks?
You should feel your spine lengthening. It's not just a movement of your chin down, but the whole neck straight backward as well. Imagine someone has their palm on your forehead and is pushing on it.
I’m naming it You Win The Love so I’ll remember it!

i don't know if you are going to see this. I'm 60 some. My mother, both grandmothers made sure we all walk straight, exercised by playing, sat up no slouching. I still have great core muscles after years of injuries and ailments.
How many pillows should i be using when sleeping? I wonder if that contributes? I have a hump too
