    Great vid I often use three disc ,but place a number 4 shot 3inches from the hook. This critically balances it , you can even go up to a BBshot

      That's a great idea, I know the carp guys use tungsten putty near the hook for the same purpose, tight lines

    Wow. Single disc of bread. Always hooked two large discs not anymore! Good spot. Have you ever tried lightly coating your bread with anything sweet?
    When I was a young teenager we went fishing for chub and ran out of bait and convinced our friend to give up his jam sandwich lol. We scraped most of the jam off before tearing off bread flake. Chub went wild for it and caught 5 chub between us smallest 1.5lb and largest around 3lb. great afternoon fishing under a willow tree on the far bank. Innocent fishing, no idea, rod, reel, ledger bomb, bread and and quiver tip.

      I was surprised by how much difference it made with number of discs but I've since found out it can be dependent on depth of water too, I do know people who use Jam on bread and do well not sure it makes a huge difference but I do talk about additives in my Q and A videos which will be live next weekend....

    Would be good to see hook baits in those feeders

    The one disc was a suprise presentation was good but the point of popped up bread is that it is popped up reliably off bottom zig style if you like on cold days when fish are not really having it just lethargic but if it’s right on the nose they take it. Also I like the insurance of more than one disc as a few small roach would mince that in no time.?

      Hi Phil, definitely roach would take a single disk in no time, I was surprised by how bouyant 2 and 3 disks were I wasn't expecting that to be fair, I was also curious to see how one disk did as sometimes it works well on a method feeder in winter.......then that got me thinking about hook sizes and patterns and how they vary in weight etc lol it could be endless....

    I use 2-3 bread disks myself, think ill start sticking to one now, What size hook were you using on the bread disk?

      Shaolin Outlaw I used a size 12 Guru MWG, so quite a heavy wire pattern I’m still shocked myself lol

      Fish the way you always fish mate , take no notice of these so called experts , I have no problem with bread sinking

    I've discovered that when punching bread you should punch each disc individually because the compression of punching multiple discs is enough to make them not puff up and float, sounds stupid but its true

    Tried it again no problem, bread sinks straight away , left bread on bottom for over five minutes , fluffed up lovely , could hardly pull the hook out , if you need any advise on bread fishing drop me a email

    3 disks of bread...perhaps over weed with a longer rig - seems like a wafter, almost a zig to me!

    Hi , after watching your video , I thought to myself about punch bread as I have never seen what happens to the bait under water , so I tried it for myself , well tried 4 discs 3 discs 2 discs and one disc , some with no hook and others with size 16 hook , guess what ever one of them sank straight to the bottom , so don’t know what your talkin about

    • @Scottsoutdoorchannel
      @Scottsoutdoorchannel  2 года назад

      Well you obviously saw what happened to mine, maybe your just a dick with nothing better to do.......so maybe you need to jog on
