The Raven and Sherring were quite alike in many ways... including their fates at the bottom of the ocean, Ironically... Deep sea fish loves you forever, indeed.
"Can you Beat Armored Core 4 as Critique" I mean, I don't know, the last time someone tries to critique AC4, their main concern was the game having four separate booster.
But why would i take only two when i can have four? Ah everyone's got the right to feel how they do about the games even if its over boosters. (Why four boosters? Why not? i say!)
Ah Sherring, one of the most powerful opponents to face in the LYNX war and boy does his NEXT shows why he is so dangerous. Packing two extremely powerful weapons and quite a powerful NEXT he shows why he's a force to be reckoned with as an original. With that set, you can easily breeze most missions with some that will prove challenging but will succeed.
They did not nor picking its pilot. Guys as cool as a ice cube. And thanks for the suggestion it filled in nicely while i get some translation done. Plus it was nice to be an op next for once.
if i remember correctly, the Laura actually has synergy with AS missiles like the Lamia because AS [auto-sight] missiles do not use the lock-on system, the missiles are launched forward and automatically seek the closest viable target, including other missiles. it's why Vero Nork uses the Laura FCS: it uses only AS Missiles so it doesn't need ANY points invested in missile lock on ability
Energy guns does PA Piercing easy. Combine that with a Aldra Hilbert frame and what you get is Peak Superior German Engineering. To me the Hilbert is like the tiger 2 of mech haha best when things arent as fast in AC4 but somewhat outdated by ACFA with newer model like argyros showing up. I like the head tho. OG Gen 3 Crest Eye series head vibe
For some reason when i read Superior German Engineering, i had a flash of a large busty women who wanted a better relationship with sister. Still yes Critique really was a powerhouse, i'd like to take this craft through acfa one day. But i think i need to get back to some lore videos. I've been slacking.
Silent Line's Big White but way Faster and doesn't use 2 handed Beam Gun. Waiting for Orleans video. Hope it's on Hard mode for lore accurate Anjou. Gotta fight more NEXT. lol
You know, I think Sherring was the hardest single pilot to fight in AC4. It's weird they send you after him when your only victories up to that point (on normal mode) were Barbaroi and Asyut Minya. And the Barbaroi fight was you ambushing a pilot that was half-dead from psychic stress. Why would GA have you go after the most dangerous possible enemy first? My theory: GA knew they had no chance at the corporate war if Sherring was alive, given his skill and GA Nexts' vulnerability to energy weapons. Even GA's allies Rosenthal and Omer had no single Next that could take him on. They knew they had to take him out before they could make any major moves. GA intelligence had been tracking his movements, and the situation where Sherring was damage from a battle, with few allies, in a remote area with no reinforcements, was the best chance they had of taking him out. It wasn't a good chance, and everybody probably thought the player would lose, but there was no other option. What would have happened if Sherring had stayed alive? He would have single-handedly turned the tide of the conflict and might have personally hunted down a number of GA/Omer/Rosenthal Nexts. The only weapons that could have probably taken him out - Sol Dios and Fermi Aerial Fortress - would be on his side. Since he's not a merc, I imagine he'd always have some form of escort with him, making ambushes difficult.
I mean your theory sound pretty solid to me. At the time GA really did not have the nexts to go out and fight at the time and knowing thier weakness they decided to use this pawn they had at thier disposal. Resources where key and with it once being thier mining plant i think GA was willing to throw some bodies at the problem first. They just got lucky that Anatolia's mercenary was more then a match for an elite original. I would love a round table of AC youtubers to pose what if questions too. Some i know would be easy to answer but others i think could create some great stories.
@@armoredcorelore Mhm, I got into the series with 6 and it turns out there really isn't anything else like it, so been trying to track down the older games and they're just not available anywhere. One place had Master of Arena for $160
@@SmugLookingBarrel It is rather a pain for new fans to find the older games. I know here in the uk ac4 and for answer are like 30 to 40 pounds while original ac on ps1 is 85 pounds. It silly pricing really.
Man, just how on god's green earth do you keep breaking even on Swarm of Red Eyes? Seeing an S Rank yet getting no money makes me feel like Swinburne's emblem.
I always thought Sherring was intended to be a nod by Fromsoft to AC players, the main reasons I think are his backstory as a former Raven and his Next using the Gen 4 equivalent of the Karasawa.
going for the 100% way back when. this next was my bane as it was his mission and elimination where the only things that kept me from the s ranks. at the time i was cheesing with the dual sirius back laser cannons, but with high energy defense I was boned. and his stupid "not karasawa" kept destroying me. eventually I felt really bad cause i was only able to S rank using kojima cannons for instant kills. felt a little dirty.
Oh never feel dirty about using the cannons. Sherring is one foe who i think earned the right to be taken down by such weapons. Plus all is fair in love and war.
I also like seeing the silent avalanche somewhat live up to its hype for once. I don't go with heavy mechs that often and found SA to be a joke most of the time. To me 4A does a much better job at this, delivering a target that lives up to what's been said in the briefing. Like with Motherwill, I get why that didn't get taken down before.
I think the armsforts in acfa are cool and so is the lore. Its a shame a lot of it is hidden in books as Motherwill history vs white glint really does as you say make it clear why these machines of war put the fear of god into lynxs. I would love a remake of some armfort fights to give them that real fear factor.
considering you got the Karasawa of that game and a decent laser rifle to cover up the big rifle's slow RoF... you can really down NEXT fast... especially if they're weak against energy weapons.
It would. And maybe i will give it a go one day when i return to ac6, but you know another youtuber has already done such a ran. ruclips.net/video/Bz0VwpakrXE/видео.html
My favourite story line has to be Nexus. It's got that charm of what you'd expect from a world where corporations basically rule the roost. Mirage basically bullying everyone because they can, Crest being all sneaky until they get thier time to strike and the world basically falling apart because power hungry people can't help, but try to control things they have no idea about. I like the others like ac4 and acfa for being this show of what happens when you basically play god and end up poisoning your own home. AC2 because it was my first ac game, but being in space was cool for a change and i loved the follow through of its events basically letting ravens be free and the earth government for the first time ever to lay the smack down on corporations. AC6 is one that bugs me. I enjoyed the fire of raven ending and the liberator of Rubicon. But to me the Allmind ending felt rushed and we missed all the cool bits because allmind already dealt with that.
You know I don't think I have seen a tank AC in 4 or 4 answer , I presume they exists I just think I'm miss remembering or something ? BTW I absolutely recommend Guilty Crown at very least there are cool mechs.
The Raven and Sherring were quite alike in many ways... including their fates at the bottom of the ocean, Ironically... Deep sea fish loves you forever, indeed.
Nice, nice. Lore points to you.

Critique is one hard-hitting EN-Next, that 23 second kill is NO surprise against Asyut Minya! Good work sir!
Thank you tusk. Going to check out your video asap.
Sherring was always shredding me unless I packed the Ogotos on me.
Me too, been a trouble in any playthroughs i do of this game.

The moral of this story is that Aldra didn't fuck around when designing the HILBERT and SOLDNER.
Glad you did this video.

Oh right, I'm not that tuned (ha ha) into how parts work and how they all fit together. So learning this is quite helpful.

Currently attempting a challenge called:
"Can you buy Armored Core 4 as a human in 2024?"
...So far seems like the answer is no.
Not surprised, ac6 really boosted the prices of the older games while its price is falling.

Well they are rare, but sus is one in ac4 and i know there is val in acfa. They are both forgettable to be fair.
Sus's Asyut Minya, Warcar's Kurumagakari, Stiletto's Les Annes Folles, Francois Nerris's Buccaneer, Takafumi Arisawa's Rai-Den and Vaoh's Gleditsia are all tanks.
