Love these kit vids you make! You took more stuff than I imagined. Do you think you could have got away with less? Saved a bit of weight? I'm planning my Panceltic ultra kit and have done a couple of experimental rides.Like you I used the Albion rain jacket and trousers which are fantastic. I also had a Arcterix down jacket and puffy pants so did not have sleeping bag or sleeping mat, but had the hooped bivvy which was great. I don't know if your sponsorship allows, but I absolutely love the Le Col merino long sleeved base layer. It has an integral neck warmer . I bought 3!! Wear it everywhere for everything. Does the tailfin back bag fit onto the standard carbon rack? I like the easy access and side pocket. Seems really quick to open and shut ,unlike the type i have which involves a bit more faffing.
Yes I definitely could have taken a few less things… but I’m at the stage where I’d rather carry a little more weight and have that extra level of comfort.
Like the choice of your kit. 'Light but not silly light' 🥳 Ive noticed the Albion cargo vest only comes in one size - Is it big enough for a 41 chest ?
No I didn’t sleep in them as I found shelter and was able to undress and air them out. However on the silkroad last year I slept in my shorts as it was often below freezing and I didn’t want to get undressed!
Great kit. Practical and well thought out. Gave me some good ideas. Thanks for sharing. Love your approach to videos.
Always informative, really like your choices,im always looking to go light, but prepared as well! Thanx,Josh

Yes I do really rate merino base layers, not seen the le col ones but they do sound really good.
And the Tailfin bag is a prototype, I had an internal structure as with the current aeropack

Yes it is one size, I’d have to check to see if there is a size guide on the website
@@joshibbett I've checked it just says one size 😂
More useful info Josh. When you say you wear the shorts for the first 4 days does that mean sleeping in them as well? Cheers

Great video and insights! How does the TAR kit list compare to your upcoming TCR ride?
You will have to wait for the TCR videos to find out! ;)
@@joshibbett hehe trying to figure out whether I should pack rain pants. It's my first time riding the TCR.
@@joshibbett Thanks for the brilliant videos!
Could you write down what those dry pants and jacket were? Looking for a good addition to my kit for the ride non-stop usa race. Thanks!
They are the Zoo Rain shell and Pants from Albion cycling
@@joshibbett Thanks brother.
Did you weight your bike? How heavy exactly was it without and with all your kit?
no idea!
Care to weight it?
