Good morning friends 🤍💚 I was very excited to try out La Mer skincare. It has such a cult status in the beauty community. Have you tried anything from the brand? Which item is your favourite?
The Treatment Lotion is not a toner. It is a watery essence. La Mer have a toner, it's called The Tonic. The Treatment Lotion is a much more important step in your routine than a toner. In addition to miracle broth it contains high amounts of the absolute best quality hyaluronic acid (HA) importantly it is one of the only products on the market that contains HA in all 3 molecule sizes. Think of it as an important prep step that delivers DEEP hydration, because the HA in the formula is specifically there so that when you apply products on top of it such as The Concentrate and the Creme etc, the HA actually pulls those products down deeper into the skin where they can be of most benefit. The small, medium and large sized molecules each pull down to a deeper level in the skin. The Treatment Lotion is actually La Mer's number 1 selling product! Oh, and by the way, it is and always has been a 100% American brand through and through, and so despite having a French name the correct pronunciation is just the normal La Mer that most people use. I hope my comments have been able to help in some capacity! All the best :)
The original crème de la mer has a particular way of applying it. La mer recommends to take a very small amount and rub it first between your fingers, warmth activates it and then when it is translucent you Pat it on your skin 😊😊 maybe if you try it you’ll love it!
If you don't apply the original Moisturizing Creme using the proper technique it won't absorb into your skin properly and you really won't enjoy your experience. The key is to take a pea sized amount and warm it between your fingers until it turns from white to translucent. Then press the creme onto the cheeks, the forehead, under your nose, on the chin and neck. Very gently swipe to spread just once or twice, and then the key is to press the creme into the skin instead of rubbing it. A couple of presses and then leave it. Within 60 seconds it will have absorbed into your skin and you're good to go.
The treatment lotion as with any other hydrating toner is best applied with the hands rather than a cotton pad. You'll notice a HUGE difference if you pour a small amount into the palms and pat or rub gently into your skin. This technique is also used in K Beauty and it's game changer!
Very fun to hear you talk about La Mer! I absolutely LOVE La Mer products. They have worked wonders for my skin. My favourites are the original cream, Renewal Oil, Concentrate, Replenishing Oil Exfoliator, and Genaissance Infused Lotion. Once you try La Mer, it's so hard to use anything else! 💕
@@AllisonChase more than welcome, dear Allison! There is a new eyecream between my eyecreams, and i love it so much!!! And you made my buy it! Hope you recover still good, wishing you a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘
💚 Hi Allison, I have tried the Lipbalm from La Mer which I found exeptionally good. Because of your video I will now try the concentrate and the eye treatment. Thank you for sharing.
If you try LaMer’s soft moisturizing cream, not the gel or the original, I think you will find that is has the same “melt into your skin” and luxurious texture that you found in the serum. As you suggested, I use their original thicker cream in the winter. I also tried the gel, which I find too light for any time of year. I’ve used LaMer for all of my skincare for more than 15 years.
I use some La Mer products. I use the tonic, treatment lotion, moisturizing cream when skin is very dry. I’m glad you tried La Mer and like some of the products. It was nice to hear about some of the products I haven’t tried. 😊❤️
I was addicted to the soft cream for three years. However, the price is just insane and there are other brands that I think do the job. My skin was so clear and radiant when I used this cream, sometimes I do splurge on a jar. I wasn’t a fan of the eye cream, oil or essence. I tried the serums and I don’t think they did much for me either. No firming. This review just makes me want to go out and buy another jar of soft cream! I love the smell of it too.
Hi Alli, i have between using the treatment lotion for years and tried others brands. But i end up going back to the treatment lotions. It soft and hydrating. The moisturizer has to be warm between finger tips until translucent then pressed on the face.
hi alli, there is a specific application method for the cream - you need to warm it between your hands until it melts & becomes translucent, and then press it in your skin instead of rubbing. same for the treatment lotion which needs to be pressed in rather than swiped, whether it’s via cotton pads or hands. i’ll be curious to know if you are able to tell the difference by changing application methods. i 🤍love💚 their spf, primer, all foundations, powders & bronzer (bronzer / blush/ highlighter trio) all of which are incredible. they are miraculously skinlike on my combination skin, requiring no touch ups throughout the day which is practically unheard of. at times i will do a single touch up but it’s optional. as a normal office worker, this is makeup that’s on the face for 10-12 hrs. their lip balm & gloss are also lovely.
Oh interesting! I wish I had known thah before trying the samples but I will keep that in mind if/when I get the chance to try out more items from La Mer.
Contrary to most other original la mer cream users, I prefer using it in summer because warmer weather softens the texture and it only takes a couple of seconds to achieve the desired transparent texture by rubbing a pea sized amount between my fingers. I feel like I must work longer and harder in winter to activate the cream
Looking for a moisturizer, would you recommend La Mer or Chanel Sublimage balm? In my early 20s ~~ been using hydra line from Chanel but wanna elevate my skincare routine for 2024!
Thank you Alli! Your review and comments are most appreciated 🥰! I use LaMer for most of my skincare routine and you’re right on in saying some products are well worth the price and some not so much. I personally love the Concentrate, their Renewal Oil and their original moisturizing cream. I do have older, dry skin. I think the samples are the best way to find out what works. Appreciate you! 😊
Mixing 2-3 drops of the Renewal Oil into the Creme when you are warming it between your fingers transforms the moisturizing step into turbo mode! Instant glow and radiance from plumped and deeply hydrated skin. Its one of my favourite La Mer 2 in 1 step combos. And if you use La Mer's liquid foundation, mix precisely 2 drops of the Renewal Oil into your foundation before you apply and thank me later. 😉
Thanks Ali ... I've always wondered what thedeal is with LaMer but never tried it. Not. sure I'm up for it since my skincare atm seem to be working well but the Concentrate sounds really intriguing!
Thanks for all this explanation dear Allison!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩I did not know La Mer, besides it's very expensive, has products for sensitive skin as well! I mostly use Chantecaille skincare, when i see good reduction actions. But thanks for all the info, have a wonderful day!!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘
@@AllisonChase thanks so much again! I bought this eyebalm with a nice reduction here in EU about 3 weeks ago, Allison, i also love my Chantecaille and Barbara Sturm products, but this eyebalm is the soffest stuff i ever used on my eyes, and, immediately a soft velvet finish, i love the scent, it's amazing eyecream, thank you!!!!👍❤
I tried La Mer around 13 years ago when I was 43. I had the creme and the eye cream. I still have the device which came with it, mine is green with the metallic ball. To be honest, I didn't find anything special about them and I must admit that I used them for a long time. The cream I didn't enjoy at all back then and now that I was given a sample. I found it too thick, of course we didn't have any light option then, though now I think there is a soft version. Anyway, the eye balm was good but nothing more than hydration. In general I think it is a very expensive brand which like any other brand cannot do miracles, no cream can in my opinion. For soothing the skin and hydration there are so many other brands out there with a fraction of the price xx

I received a sample of the La Mer Creme & The Concentrate. Loved them both, but The Concentrate was amazing!! I wish there was a dupe for it because it truly calms skin. I had an irritation and redness ... applied it and overnight my skin was completely healed. If I was going to spend money on any product, it would be The Concentrate because a solid moisturizer can be found at affordable prices, plus I use serums and don't need a miracle moisturizer. But The Concentrate was worth it for me and I want to use it nightly! hahaha I'm saving the last drop in my sample for an emergency! hahaha Side note: If you rub the La Mer Creme between your fingers until it liquifies and becomes like a serum, then press into the skin ... you'll see a huge difference. Hi Alli 🤍💚. I was curious to hear what you think about their skincare. So far, I got the SPF50 and their tinted moisturizer. 💚🤍 The Concentrate has been a staple of mine for several years. It really helps to keep my eczema from flaring up, so I feel that it’s well worth it! The Eye Cream is really good, too. Thanks, Allison!
You are so welcome 🥰
💚🤍💚 I got me the essence and creme de La Mer during the Sephora sale and I’m loving it. Not liking that it’s too pricey though 😆
Same! 😂 I think I’ll wait for the Sephora sale to purchase anything full sized.
