Really enjoyed this video and thanks for the review. I also have some Chantecaille skincare which do not wow me or even irritated my skin. Love your make up, it is very pretty and flattering - along with the dress ❤.
I have been underwhelmed by Chantecaille skincare and overpriced. Does anyone else dislike products that come with a dropper pumps so much easier and less messy
The Corden Hampton balm takes me totally into summer beach nostalgia so I reorder again and again. Pricey but worth the memories it stirs and how good it makes my lips feel.
Hi Allison, When we talk about skincare is very tricky to recommend other people what we like because what is HG for you can be a nightmare for me. Mature skin is not a type of skin. There are just 4 types: normal, oily, dry and sensitive and people can have any combo of these types. My mother is in her 60’s and has oily and very resilient skin and my aunty has dry dehydrated skin. And so on. I have very sensitive and reactive skin, also combo-oily (forehead) and normal. Because of this reason I look more at the ingredients then the brands. I have tried skincare from Dior, Chanel, Sisley, Sunday Riley, Guerlain etc and I had very bad reactions very fast. Lucky I had samples and I didn’t spend any money. Finally I found a brand good for me and I stick with it. For me is fun to see these kind of videos but I don’t follow recommedations. But with makeup is a different story! 😁
Hi, Thanks for another great video. I use conditioning cleansers quite lot and it suits well for my 'fine but a lot' hair. Most of them are all in one, so you are not supposed to use shampoo just the cleansing condition and you are done. I have not tried CR, but Cutrin and Moroccan oil mousse work well. Haircare is also very dependent on tapwater quality. Same shampoo in London and my hair is a mess, at home it is less of a mess 😆
I love this type of content-I learn so much! I’ve tried the “conditioning cleansers” (not Christophe Robins’), and they did not perform well with my thin/fine curly hair. I think I tried Wen and a couple others. They came with pretty complicated directions, and you had to use a lot of product to co-cleanse, but no matter how closely I followed the instructions, my hair came out a nasty tangled mess. It would take a good 20 minutes to do what they asked-who’s got that kind of time in the shower?!! My ends were dry and my scalp felt greasy and heavy. Just not a good look 😒 I do love the simplicity of a good product like the La Roche Posay body cleanser-sometimes you don’t need those bells and whistles. I wonder if that’s available here in the States. I generally only see sunscreen products by LRP. Thanks a bunch for the cool content, and I hope you have an amazing weekend!!
Thank you so much! I certainly hope that you can find the LRP cleanser because it's a great basic body cleanser. I've heard from some people that they really enjoy those types of conditioning cleansers but I think it's for different hair types and also requires a complete new hair regime. Non merci!
The Cle de Peau cream is really good. I’ve used a sample in the past but it’s way too expensive for me. I’m in the market for a retinol to alternate with my Retin-A. (I back off the Retin-A in the summer when I’m going to be in the sun more). I think I’m going to get Chantecaille’s retinol intense again. I’ve used it in the past and it works really well. Plus, the price is a bit easier to swallow. Thanks for showing your empties! I keep a spreadsheet of things I’ve used up and notes on whether I’d buy them again. It keeps me from making expensive mistakes. Consistent repeats include Retin-A, La Mer soft cream, Clinique cleansing balm, Exuviance mandelic acid gel, and Fresh sugar scrub. I’m never without any of those! 😘
A spreadsheet? That’s amazing, you’re so organized and that makes so much sense to do. I’m currently using a retinol serum from Murad that I really love.
@@AllisonChase It became a necessity! I’ve tried so much over the years and I needed a system to stop the “mistake” drawer from overflowing. According to my notes, Cle de Peau volumizing cream supreme is also really good (and less expensive than La Creme). It’s on my list to buy when I can afford it. I’ll have to try the Murad retinol next.
Good morning friends ☕️ I hope you find today’s skincare review helpful. Let me know if you’d like to see more content like this on my channel.

Thank you so much! Their skincare is hit or miss - but their Hibiscus Smoothing mask remains one of my favourites.
They have a body oil that comes in a dropper pump and it's super messy and annoying to use.

That is so true, it's a clean fresh scent that makes me feel like I "summer in the Hamptons" haha

Oh that's so true! I like to share my skincare reviews because it can be helpful but skincare is so personal.

Oh that is so true! I swear that when I moved back to Montreal my hair texture changed because of the tap water lol
I wish I had her skin she is literally glowing!!

Hello Allison, I love body shop products especially their body cream, I currently have the mango cream, it smells divine. Thank you for this video 🧡🧡🧡
