This is actually 100% accurate when Miles is being chased by Chris he has a completely different reaction, the panicked screams only happen when he is being chased by Trager he is feeling true fear in that moment.

outlast 1 is better than outlast 2 EDIT 3 YEARS LATER: outlast 1 and 2 are both good games. I just think outlast 1 has a better scare factor to it and isnt as repetitive as outlast 2 is with the chases. Outlast 1 is more closed off and and has less room to move around in, which in my opinion makes it a whole lot scarier. I think it's a lot more immersive and the enemies and characters are more memorable and have more personality than any of the bad guys in outlast 2 do. I'll never forget when I tried to beat this game on 1 run, 1 battery, no lockers or beds, hardest difficulty. I died during the final act against wall rider. I was so pissed. I haven't played the first outlast ever since.
