Steveo - Thanks so much for your endorsement of the Unger Ninja. I personally spent 3 years with our R&D team developing this tool. I hope you will try out the full Ninja range of tools we have including the scraper and holster, which took a lot of user testing to get it right. Mark Unger
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner - My pleasure really. Your tutorial is super helpful. Just bought my 12 and 18 ninja channels and handles. Super stoked. Taking this business full time next spring. Efficiency is now the name of the game. Thank you. Your videos have been awesome for me. You helped me get started and understand everything. Including bidding. The bidding info has helped me secure so many jobs. I have only had 1 turn down a bid out of 38 since sep 19, 22.
Just an update. I've had a chance to use my ninja handles/channels now 5 timesaving have absolutely LOVED it. I've increased my speed by almost double with this. The glide is smooth and it picks up a LOT of water. Definitely recommend.
I've been cleaning for 15 yrs and have tried most everything. I have always come back to the standard Ettore handle. Never felt comfortable with the large handles. As the saying goes, "Ettore All the Way". Super channels are way heavy anyways so I never use them. Cheers from the frozen north. Keep up the good work.
The ninja glide is like no other, extremely easy channel to use and learn with. I've tried the ettore super channel and liked it but not as much as I LOVE my sorbo quicksilver & sorbo handle. Nice review👍
Elijah & Kristin Schwake thank you! I really like the sorbo ninja handle combo as well, just not a huge fan of the sorbo rubber so I’ve been trying to find a great replacement for the last year. Alumax and ninja have become my favorite, I like them both for different reason
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner we've been using the ettore soren rubber and its seems to be working really well. We clean strictly commercial/storefront so it's a lot of straight pulls and fanning and I cant complain on how long the rubber lasts.
I bought the Unger Ninga squeegee and really liked it but one thing about it kinda irked me. The clips on the end that lock the rubber in place tended to come loose after about 15 min. of using it. I would have to keep pushing them back in to keep the rubber locked. Other than that, I really liked it.
I used my ninja channel today for the first time in a month or two and it was nice. Sometimes it takes using another channel for a while to really see the difference. Same with the Sorbo for me I’m starting to use that a lot more as well
Mike The Glass Guy I didn’t use my ninja channel for consecutive days in over 5 years and then just decided to pull it out one day and really liked it again!!
We use the Ninja Handle & Channel for Years and its really a Beast on the Glass, super smooth Gliding, for detailing i only use the Ninja wipes (the grey ones), i have always 2-3 fresh washed peaces for a Day thereby. Best Combo ever 4 me ! Keep up the good work!
The superchannel and Sorbo quicksilver are great!!! The ettore contour handle fits both!! As you know, you can have a 0 degree squeegee! Nice video Steve o!!👍
Can you do a video on detailing? How to avoid detailing, when to detail, how long to leave a window after cleaning before detailing, how to detail with a towel on your pole, how in-depth you get at it, etc. I spend a ton of time on detailing it seems and I just want to know more about how to do it more efficiently. Thanks.
I find it all about how you approach the window. To avoid pull marks and detailing your top edge i always start from the left corner (or right corner depending on wind) and then put my squeege to a 45 degree angle dragging it across the top removing the water along the top edge and continuing this movement until you have it all pulled down. By leading your squeegee across the top edge angled at a 45 degree angle it clears it out much better just as if you were doing it by hand.
After I got out of hi-rise, I only used ettore steccone aluminum channel. For the decade I did hi-rise, the only squeegee I used, the one every window cleaner that I knew used was, the ettore brass 18''- 36'' squeegee. Of course you may not be familiar with hi-rise window cleaning and, I would understand your lack of knowledge however, since getting out of commercial and doing solely residential for the last 20+ year's, my only tool is the steccone aluminum. From sizes of 6"-22".
Yeah those plastic end clips tend to unlock very easily and often break but the Unger ninja still rock! If a 2.0 version came with some sorta "no detail" low profile end clips Unger would be the BEST in the business!
Other channels have this option but yes it is a great feature. You just have to get use to how much pressure to apply when haveing the rubber in the second or third notch
Hi Steve O, what wide body channel will you recommend for Straight Pulls on pole or even by hand besides the Nina that I already have? I Notice with the ninja that the ends did not close well with pole. I saw you using sometimes sorbo channels but not sure if you like the rubber that comes with it. Maybe Pulex alumax? Just trying to find and easy channel for store fronts to do straight puls on pole. Il'l appreciate your advice. Thank you for your great content!
just for the record. I totally went back. I have the pulex tiger sleeve and its too too sharp. plus, the super channel on a ninja tbar turns into a pickaxe if you unlock it near the glass. and i dont wanna break anything lol.
I’m a diehard Unger guy. Not a ninja channel fan. 30 degree Ninja Handle and 22” Sorbo cobra is my go to combo for commercial work. I like the super channel I own a 24” other than that almost all my traditional tools are Unger except my Sorbo channels.
As a foot note I do own two of every size ninja channel lol. I went all in when Unger released the Ninja line. Sleeves handles scrapers channels handles boabz #Mark
That’s how I was, when the unger ninja first came out I got everything but that was before I knew about sorbo so then I went to sorbo for a long time, I just really like using ettore rubber. Wish they would make a sorbo channel that used the round rubber...
So the alumax squeegee is still number one even in an Unger vs Ettore video. I hate detailing. Haha Tell me why you don’t use an Unger handle on the alumax channel the way you do on a Ettore Super Channel?
The ninja handle and the Alumax creates an odd angle, the ninja handle grips the channel just awkwardly enough that closing out and pole work is almost impossible with it. Trust me I tried to make this combo work years ago, it’s a little more doable with the 30 degree handle but still is funky. That’s why I always suggest just getting the pulex wide body handle
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner yeah I had to watch your video on rainbow streaks.... Hit a random patch of houses where it was showing up I must have lost my form it was so frustrating. Needed to cut the mountain higher and make sure my rubber was straight. Thanks for great videos!
