The main composer is actually Borislav Slavov, Zimmer only produced one or two themes. But the OST is still epic

Rather have Crytek suit than iron man
prime xodus can't help but think the same. In many ways it seems way more advanced too in the way it incorporates nano bio-technology and is a way greater extension of the human body than the Iron Man suit is. In fact, I'd say the human body is more of an extension of the suit than vice versa really. And it looks so bloody damn epic and dark, even Batman would be jealous!

Really? Just use armor, kill one or two enemies, then take cover and regenerate energy. Repeat until everyone is dead. Post-human warrior isn't so difficult as it seems.

I generally don't care for trailers, but this was something else. Really conveys the extent to which the suit changes the body of the wearer to both empower and at the same time strip them of their humanity. Solid direction

More of a trade off imo doom guys armour is basically for direct confrontation constantly while prophets suit is more likely for assassinations by comparison cloak and bursts of armour when needed

That area with the above city bridge shown in this vid gave me PTSD in game, litteraly the most difficult part of the game.
Kirk Cooey you just have to save the JAW's from earlier levels to take out th choper and pick the sniper on the building where he lands at 1:05 and it should be easier even on the hardest difficulty

I was randomly introduced to this game by my dad because he loves good graphics and I remember this was the best looking game of its time on xbox console. I enjoyed the game but never understood its story, I’ll have to go back watch the storyline

Nostalgia at it's finest. This was such a beautiful game to play through with the best cinematics I've ever seen. The atmosphere you got from travelling around the dystopian and apocalyptic New York was immense and ambient and will stay in my memory forever. Kind of a shame that it never got really popular though I kinda do understand why. The gameplay was a bit generic and not very complex and same goes for the story. But man the atmosphere was just spot on.
The gane did not get popukar because of system barrier imo. Barely 30 fps on consoles and a beastly computer requirements really pushed this game out of favor for most
The Nanosuit is genuinely one of the most badass and coolest and also one of the most scariest frictional suit out there.
The lore behind that suit and the price to equip it is downright steep and even scary...(Seriously can't explain the details but people really need look up its lore)
It's not some iron man armor or a Batsuit where you can just wear it as if it's some Hawaii t-shirt
You'll lose all sense of humanity to a point you don't even feel human anymore once you wear it...
This is what Prophet tried to pour his heart out when he explained the Envious Psycho he is lucky to be even alive let alone got the chance to become human again where as Prophet can't..It's tragic.
and the reward ? you'll practically become a unstoppable super human with a flick of a thought and its quite possibly OP when taken out of the Gaming Logic.
That's why the suit is legendary among the gaming community. Between this suit, Samus suit and MJOLNIR Armor, 99.9% of gamers who are in the know will say Nanosuit.
WAS IT JUST LIKE BERSERK ARMOR wfrom berserk manga? It gave you power to kill armies but was eating you alive and removing your humanity piece by piece and remeaning time of life'? Crysis is like Genocidal Organ but with much better powers, in genocidal organ suit removed your ability to feeling pain, fear and feeling of beeing exhausted/need for sleep + being invisible and slowly making you crazy psychopatic, while the point of it was to protect soldiers from trauma, pain and PTSD.

One of the famous lines I remember from Crysis 2 was that the suit 'grows into the wounds'.
The nanosuit is made from the same biotechnology the Ceph are literally made out of. The Ceph, in return, are breaking down New York city inhabitants to be used as materials for their war machine.
As they are a hivemind, its entirely possible that each Crisis Suit is its own hivemind. Mind you, Prophets entire personality and 'soul' was abosrbed by the suit, and later replaced Alcatraz because the trauma and injury he received was badly effecting his psyche to the point not even the suit could stabilise.
Hence, the more wearers it gets, the more personalities will eventually be absorbed. It should be noted that the suit is entirely working to 'protect' the wearer, not supplant or usurp them. It just that drastic injuries force drastic circumstances.

I’ll never forget successfully recreating this intro. It was the most difficult thing to pull off because he didn’t activate armor until after two would be fatal falls. It turns out if you land on just the right edge of certain models it cancels fall damage and if you jump out the glass with a cell with just enough momentum you can seemingly slam them into the ground. I spent so much time in the mission going back and forth that I even found a glitch allowing me to get outside the map and block off a cut scene area with trash cans so that when it played we all got stuck and it looked way off. Good times.
Can you tell me how you got out of the map and on which platform you did it ( i play it on Xbox one )
It was on 360, when you get to the rooftop where you fight the helicopter shoot it down like you normally would, clear the rooftop of enemies and blow open the doors but don’t go down yet. Grab one of the giant umbrellas around the roof and head down with it, I think it despawns if you let go so you have to melee everyone with it downstairs and the checkpoint keeps you from just trying again if you mess up. Don’t go down the elevator, when you clear the room on the left should be a room with the objective to open the elevator, besides the door to the room is a corner, if I remember right, putting yourself in that corner and throwing the umbrella into it clips you out of the map, either than or just meleeing it but I don’t remember exactly, it was a funny little glitch. There was also an Easter egg for a rave elevator.

Two years late, but that's "just" a heavy machinegun bullet that is deflected from his shoulder. Probably their version of a .50 BMG.

ahh man memories i was about 10 and i’m 22 years old now and my dad bought me a few games from the store the on a weekend before school on monday. Monday morning i see this into cinematic thinking it’s the coolest thing ever & the music being so epic, the whole day at school i was imagining having that suit and saving the school. good fucking times when i got home and played Crysis 2 i was hooked.

Crysis 2 felt like a superhero FPS game. Battling oppressive forces and aliens while trying to save New York City. Making full use of the suits abilities and to top it all of the epic music.
I used to love the nano suit voice and used to mimic it a lot when I was a kid, I am an adult now and glad to say nothing has changed

According to meme logic, the crysis suit is comprised of genetically engineered nanomachines combined with the DNA of John Cena and Dwayne Johnson.
When I first played this game as a kid, it scared me. For me it was like a horror game, watching this intro after 5 years and nostalgia hit me hard

For me, this is one of the best trailers for a game I have for PS3 in my collection and the music in that trailer is phenomenal. Congratulations to those who created the song.
i played a little bit of crysis 2 in 2021 and i'm here to confess.... this was easily one of the most epic intros ever. got me so excited. music is so epic too. wow.
