Thanks for coming over Mok-Yi! Natasha and I had a lot of fun with you and Emily. Keep up the great work man. And thank you for the opportunity to showcase my Nano tanks!
Mighty Nano Tank Was about to wait for you to make a video, so I can say "Hey, Inappropriate Reefer sent me here", but you're right here so. Lol Edit: And yes. I immediately subscribed on your channel. You're really lucky if can keep Xenias, I swear.
Thanks for having us over Ben & Natasha! I wish I included some videos of how your tank looked before being converted into a frag tank... but I suppose people will now just have to visit your channel to see the before videos. ;-)
His advice on adding magnesium when his pulsing Xenia seem to “pump” slow was very helpful! Tested and added magnesium and sure enough they started pulsing again😃. Thank you for the advice and for making these videos!!
Such beautiful nanos! It occurred to me while watching this - one thing that’s so great about nanos is how close you can get to everything to see it and maybe take video. That Xenia tank is beautiful, looks like the bta is keeping control of the Xenia, nice. 👍🏻👍🏻
Wow what a humble soul. Thank you for sharing. When you have the tip about RO/DI I was like, I was like whewwww! I just pulled(lol) the trigger on a 7 stage from BRS. I’m so glad I did, now.
dlorenzin86 if you're feeding pellets and stuff try using that less, turkey baster the rockwork more often throughout the week, sand vac and water change more. Feed every other with frozen mysis.
Thank you for the tips!! My 8g with no chaeto is similar to your 10g. My 32 biocube hower, I even have a kessil H80 for the back and recently added a reactor with chaeto. Can't rid the hair algae. I use zeovit products as well
david bastin thank you! I basically follow the Ecotech's LPS AB setting but with just 11% intensity. I run the lights for 8 hours a day with 1 hour ramp up/down.
lol I’m watching this video and I’m like 🤫 I got all Ben’s corals a week later hahahahaha. This dude is really good a keeping a nano and I’m glad to call him a friend in the hobby. Great video
Reef Cloud I think I need to make a clarification video haha. I took down my rockscape and put all the frags on plugs so I can slowly start getting rid of stuff before i move across country later this year. So instead of letting the corals further encrust on the rocks.. I decided to start parting everything out instead. Makes for a easier shut down
Awesome video man, I had to sub👊. I'm about to get back in the hobby. I got a Kessil a80 blue tuna and a wave link power head. Any recommendations on tank size?
Would you be able to share your AI prime light details? Specifically your photo period, ramp up/off time, and percent of light spectrum that you use for each color light?
macbarb12 of course! So I have the light about 9.5" away from the water surface. I run the lights for 12 hours total, within that 1hr ramp up/ down. 4 hours of V/UV 45%, B 39%, RB 40%, R/G 4%, W 15%. I'll then dim down R/G/W channels to zero and increase all the blues a bit higher to receive the same watt settings as if the R/G/W channels were on for another 4 hrs. Then dim everything for moonlighting for my viewing pleasure. So tank only receives 8hrs of peak lighting.
You have great nano tank and beautiful as you said very simple 2 question who h one is the intensity of your radion and the percent of flow of your mp 10 - .? Thanks an$ congrats
Oscar Rojas thank you Oscar. I use the Ecotech’s AB LPS setting at 11% intensity, which is about 16% brightness to achieve 19 watts total. As for the MP10 I run it at the lowest setting in the Random Lagoon mode. Hope this helps.
In my professional opinion I WOULD NOT recommend the cobalt geotherm heaters! We use them in everything single tank at my shop and within about a year in a half they start to go bad and over heat very quickly. Just in the past 2 weeks I’ve personally pulled out 6 of the heaters, not including the ones my staff has also pulled. We had to contact cobalt directly and they’re working something out for us at least. But they’re all going out and the same time with no power surges.
Thanks for the reply and good luck on your new adventure and shout out to inappropriate reefer and I would love to get my hands on one of those reef squad-t-shirts how can I do so.
Hey question what is ur setting at on ur ai prime 16hd reef light. I’m trying to figure out what’s the best setting for a 20gallon standard tank. I’m running the basically 50% Uv blue violet and 5% cool white. What should I put it at I want more coral growth. There growing very very very very very slow. Light is sitting 10inch about tank. Tank is 18 inch deep. Please help since u have very nice looking tanks.
I'm still here! I have a few more months before I have to shut down all my tanks. But I'll be getting back in the hobby once I am all situated in my new place again
I don't think you new guys know what nano tanks are. I understand there's a new wave trying say 30 gallon tanks are nanos but these people are confused millennials

Absolutely beautiful tanks brother, THANK YOU for giving us the privilege of seeing it and the knowledge you passed on.

That's actually a great point that I also take for granted.
Wow what a humble soul.
Thank you for sharing.
When you have the tip about RO/DI I was like, I was like whewwww! I just pulled(lol) the trigger on a 7 stage from BRS.
I’m so glad I did, now.
I love that 10 gallon tank with the mushroom shaped scape
Mighty nano tank has a new subscriber from me :)
I love the idea of using an all-in-one nano as a frag tank. I might have to shamelessly steal this idea..
ReefMan it's zee best!
Can we get a how-to video of the Xenia and bubble tip tank? That’s the look I’m going for my 50g cube. Nice simple and clean!
tinhorama sounds like @inappropriatereefer needs to start another tank 😁
LMAO! Loved the jingle bells music towards the end haha 😆 pure comedy!
;-) There's a reason why my Christmas Tree is still up...
Oh man. That part cracked me up too. Mokyi is too good with his editing
Well that certainly explains why the Christmas tree is still up. :D Great video!
;-)
Great video! I struggle with algae in my 32g and I'm thinking of getting rid of the chaeto all together. Maybe keep it simple 😉
dlorenzin86 if you're feeding pellets and stuff try using that less, turkey baster the rockwork more often throughout the week, sand vac and water change more. Feed every other with frozen mysis.
dlorenzin86 hopefully that will get you back on track. I love growing chaeto. Works 💯
Thank you for the tips!! My 8g with no chaeto is similar to your 10g. My 32 biocube hower, I even have a kessil H80 for the back and recently added a reactor with chaeto. Can't rid the hair algae. I use zeovit products as well
dlorenzin86 ah. GHA can be a pain. Maybe try a small female emerald crab to help?
hi, a beautiful tank would you mind sharing your radion light schedule and also are you using the wide-angle lens thanks!
david bastin thank you! I basically follow the Ecotech's LPS AB setting but with just 11% intensity. I run the lights for 8 hours a day with 1 hour ramp up/down.

DC Reefer hahaha. This is true 😂 appreciate it D.C.! Glad to have you as a friend too.
LOL did you clean out Ben's tanks?
I thought ben was saying farewell to his tank in his last video. I hope he had a change of heart
Reef Cloud I think I need to make a clarification video haha. So instead of letting the corals further encrust on the rocks.. I decided to start parting everything out instead. Makes for a easier shut down
Lol that makes a lot more sense thanks
Awesome video man, I had to sub👊. I'm about to get back in the hobby. I got a Kessil a80 blue tuna and a wave link power head. Any recommendations on tank size?
He's got a great setup I'm abit pissed has shutting down the 25g but I've subbed to him aswell and said I've came over from your channel
reef guy 92 appreciate the sub!
made me wanting a nano reef tank so badly now
Would you be able to share your AI prime light details? Specifically your photo period, ramp up/off time, and percent of light spectrum that you use for each color light?

Thanks so much. This is so helpful! :)
Your videos make me wanna set up my next 50gal as a salt tank, idk but seems so hectic going from fresh water too salt water
It is surprisingly similar, possibly easier if you have experience with a high-tech planted tank. The only major difference is cost... =/
Amazing tanks brother. Where did you buy the pod basket?
Awesome video great collaboration 🙌🏽🙏🏼
Am Fit Elite Reefer thanks man! Definitely fun with Mokyi.
Very welcome brother
You have great nano tank and beautiful as you said very simple 2 question who h one is the intensity of your radion and the percent of flow of your mp 10 - .? Thanks an$ congrats

Great info in this video, love his tanks and that pulsing zenia is crazy.
Can you show me some videos of setting up for really cheap? I saw that small tank behind you I want something like that for my home.
How did you make that little pod chamber? Might do that!
In my professional opinion I WOULD NOT recommend the cobalt geotherm heaters! Is that random flow generator being used with the stock pump or was this pump upgraded? If so, can you please tell me which pump you used? Thanks!
What brand/name are those random flow generator?
Great tank and video btw, exciting to see everyone's methods of keeping a beautiful reef tank!
I believe only one company makes it currently. It's by Vivid Creative Aquatics.
I have that same heater , called or under a different brand ; Aqueal
Nice tanks Ben!
Glad to see ya Mike. Just subbed his channel
Thanks for the reply and good luck on your new adventure and shout out to inappropriate reefer and I would love to get my hands on one of those reef squad-t-shirts how can I do so.

Lukasz Wilk its a mangrove
Magnifique, BRAVO !!! 👏👏👏
Can you tell me how you made your pod hotel?
Roger Lin I got black knitting mesh screens and zip ties. Roll up knitting mesh, cut to size. Zip tie to hold the circular form. Done!
Mighty Nano Tank do you put live rock in or chaeto?
Roger Lin ideally you want some live rock in there mixed with chaeto. The rocks help weigh down the pod hotel as well as harbor pods
