Firstly -When discussions first started on who would be India's first Home Minister, three names started doing the rounds. One Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, two - Mohammad Ali Jinnah, three - Jawaharlal Nehru.
Everyone knew that Muhammad Ali Jinnah was suffering from tuberculosis. He will not live much longer. If he had been made the Prime Minister then India would not have been divided. Instead, Nehru told the reporters that I am the Chief Minister and will not keep Jinnah as a chaperone.
Imagine that at such a critical time of India's independence, the leader of a party called Muslim League can be insulted like this, whether he is a human being or Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. As a result, what happened happened. Jinnah claimed that Muslims wanted a separate state. At this time he said Gandhi, Nehru, I don't trust any of them. Except Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. But Netaji was not in India at that time.
secondly- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was dropped at Gandhi's will. You know how Gandhi's argument was - Gandhi's argument was - Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's English accent is not good. It is not Gandhi's ego? Netaji abdicated and defeated Gandhi. This is where Netaji became the leader of leaders above all others.
Fourth - Muslim League
In 1905, Lord Curzon proposed to break up the vast Bengal into several parts. Lord Curzon on his official visit to East Bengal in 1904 convinced the Muslim leaders that after this partition Dhaka would be made the capital of East Bengal and the Muslim leaders would be able to rule by paying tribute to the British Raj in Delhi.
Despite the will of the Muslim leaders, the Bengali Hindus managed to cancel the partition of Seva Bengal with great difficulty, in 1911, Lord Hardinge restored United Bengal.
Muslim leaders were not silent. The Nawab of Dhaka, Khawaja Salimullah, who was brought by Lord Curzon to share Bengal in 1904, founded the All India Muslim League in 1906 in British India's Dhaka district, which aimed to divide India and create a separate country for Muslims.
For almost 40 years, Gandhiji failed to stop even calling Ishwar Allah Thirteen.
In fact every movement of Gandhi failed. Rather, it is better to say that he himself has failed. Only me by myself.
Take Gandhiji's movement as an example - he stopped every movement when it took the form of a mass tide.
Rawlat satyagrahe :- He is against Rowlatt LawRowlatt started Satyagraha. On his orders, a nationwide strike was observed on 6 April 1911. When satyagraha movement against the Rowlatt Act turned violent in some places, he appealed for suspension of the movement.
non-cooperation Movement:- The Non-Cooperation Movement began on 1 August 1920. The programs of the movement included refusal of official titles, boycott of government functions, boycott of schools and colleges, boycott of offices and courts, boycott of foreign goods etc. The non-cooperation movement led by Gandhi quickly spread to different parts of India. But the police opened fire on the agitating crowd in Uttar Pradesh's Chaurichaura. Gandhi abruptly called off the agitation when the mob set fire to a police-post.
the law Disobedience In the movement : March 12, 1930 AD with 78 followers marched in Dundee and started civil disobedience by breaking salt law. There was an unprecedented response across the country. Civil disobedience movement became widespread in Bengal, Maharashtra, North-West Frontier Province etc. After that Gandhi was arrested on 4th January and the Ain Amanya movement collapsed.
You say the movement was stopped because of violence. The matter is not so simple. As long as only the British fired, tortured the house mothers, the movement continued. Just the moment the common people became violent to protest and resist it, the movement was stopped.
There are two reasons behind this. Gandhiji himself was a barrister. He knew that if the agitator was violent, he would be arrested. He has been arrested several times. Failure to stop the violent movement may result in greater punishment.
In other words, self-love was a little more.
