Watching you modify patterns has allowed me to try modifying a dress pattern to make a gentle Vex'ahlia cosplay, and I am absolutely loving it.
Ahhh this WARMS MY HEART soooo much *daarling* 🖤🙌✨ I hope I get to see the outcome
Your brain works just right, lol. 🙂 It is a wonderful idea, to gift something to the new mum. You know, I have three sons and I allways thought, when celebrating their birthdays, that it is allways also a reason to celebrate for me as a mum, who gave birth to them at that particular day. 🙂
The "large swatch" does look very beautiful. The colours remind me of a cathedral window or maybe one of those lanterns we crafted as kids in Kindergarten. We used black cardboard and made lanterns, lacing out different shapes and then gluing colourful seethrough paper inside of the lantern. When a candle was put inside, it would shine throught the colourful bits and look so beautiful.
Blessings from Fairy Tale Cottage, Schurwald Forest, Germany. ❤
I really enjoy your outdoor scenes. Beautiful and calm. Your comments also about pushing to get a project finished was helpful.
Whaaaat, that top is so beautiful! It fits you perfectly and it’s so so so pretty. Love that it’s black but it’s also a rainbow.
The colors of your Elfmail reminds me of a beautiful stained glass window! It's lovely!
Ahh that's so fun! 💚
ok so now i feel VERY inspired to knit a base layer for myself.. it's so cold here in VT that it would be super practical. I also have such a hard time finding a base-layer in store that isn't synthetic or very pricey. + your elfmail reminds me of stained glass!! it's so fun. also maybe I need to finally knit myself a 'look at my holes' to wear with my little tanks.. so much inspo from this episode!
I adore the colors of your scrappy project. I completely understand not wanting to make something you won't use, but i gasped in joy at the sight of it
Awww thank you so much Corrie 💚
It’s not just you! One of the nicest and most memorable gifts I got as a new mum was a box of chocolates just for me from a friend. Everyone else brought something for the baby, which was lovely, but I won’t forget that box of chocolates and how it made me feel loved x
Ohhh that's so happy, it's amazing what a gesture like that can do for your emotions, which although I haven't experienced myself, imagine to be *much* more heightened! 💚
Lovely knitting and yarns....as always, Katt! But today I was fascinated by the nature you captured and showed at the end. If all this is already blooming in England, then we are far behind in Germany. It is still gray and wet and cold here.... we have to wait a bit longer I guess. Thank you for the uplifting beautiful footage! Hugs from Bavaria! 🐞
Oh no, those were just moments from the past two years that we are excited to see again (we spent last weekend in the home 'spring' cleaning) also, they are so gorgeous we couldn't resist sharing again! I hope that you get a few sunny days soon (we are hoping that we are manifesting it a little by sharing too 😅🌞) 💚
Your elf mail is so similar to a favorite jumper that I used to have. My sister bought it when she was a teenager and gave it to me when I was 14 and I only gave up on it a couple of years ago. (40years old jumper) so this is the perfect pattern to use my mini skeins to recreate it ❤❤❤❤
It’s always lovely to spend some time with you and mischievous little Audrey ❤
Aww thank you so much Julie!
i love the scrappy project! I think the pink will fade out more visually as you add colors, and i actually like the energy it gives the piece! if you get further and it's the only eye-sore for you, you could think about sort of duplicate stitching in a lace weight in a different color to help fade it back? Excited to see it progress, though; I love watching scrappy projects come together!
I think you might be right, the more I look at it from further away (I'm keeping the basket on the floor where I can see it not hidden away now) the more I quite like it and the less the pink is so intense, I've put a different pink in there and I'm already feeling the same but I think it might help the overall feel by the end!
Lovely, thank you. I see you are having spring there, yeah, we are perhaps a few weeks behind you here in the Netherlands.
They were little moments from the past two years because we have only spotted snowdrops here so far and are super excited for Spring to pop!
I’m not into pink, but I love the look of your elfmail even with the pink in!
I’m enjoying the content, but enjoyed the earlier content too! Our Daffodils are way behind in the San Juan Islands. No bloom’s barely out of the soil 3-4” now. Take care Kat, hugs ClaudiaSJI
Thank you so much, we haven't seen any daffodils yet but they are certainly trying, those were a little glimpse into some of the things from spring we are excited to see, I hope you are keeping well Claudia 💚
I find everything you make so interesting. Can't wait to see what other color you choose for the half and half wrap. It would even be cool with another black in a different texture. I gotta make one of those one of these days. I think when the right yarns come along, I'll know it. But right now I'm super into complicated mosaic knitting shawls.
Aww thank you so much Kate! I was thinking I might go for another black, maybe a grey or two with a single colour pop! I'm not sure still but I think it might take me a while to get there and hopefully the yarns will just show themselves when the time comes for me too. Wowee!
Love the scrappy project. Reminds of a stained glass window ! 😍
Ahh that's a very good comparison! 💚
I thought that too ❤
I love the scrappy (previously loved yarn) project it reminds me of a craft I did a zillion years ago as a child called crayon scratch art. Put the pink in part of rows a few more times and it may make more sense to your eye?!
Ohhh yes! I remember crayon scratch art, such a fun process! I am going to be be a little braver with the pinks going forward and I do think you're right it will be a little more harmonious!
Great chat Katt. Please don’t rip the scrappy project out, it looks so cool. But you do you ❤
Thank youuu - I have been keeping it a little further away from me and have been inspired to keep going, perspective eh? 💚
