Love your hair! I stopped getting my hair interlocked and moved toward the retwist method to cut down on the tension to my scalp. I use setting lotion and it seems to work well.
Your hair is beautiful! I started my microlocs on 4/2/23 and I have been retwisting the entire time. I just switched to interlocking because I work out 6 days a week. Retwisting was only lasting 5-7 days.
thank you lovely! my experience has been the same. it was nice to try retwisting just to see how i like it but i’m definitely sticking with interlocking for the long run
Your results came out really nice with retwisting. I'm 9 months into my journey and I have small locs (117). I started interlocking in month 5 because of you and your videos! Keep being an inspiration and best of wishes with the baby!
Im new to this and im trying to learn the different ways to do.locs. The method you are using means that your hair isn't loc? This look like a good way to start off
Is Loc N Gel typically found in local beauty supply stores? Or is it only online? I used a different product called Peruvian gel and it had really good hold but it literally was a pain to wash out, in fact it’s still stuck in some of my locs 😩 so now im super cautious of what products I use. Ive only been using mousse for retwists now
i usually get it from amazon (it’s linked in description btw). also that is crazy, im sorry your having to experience that. i’ve seen people get great results with mousse so if that’s been working for you definitely keep at it
i try not to wash if for a while after retwisting. but i’d assume it would unravel if you wash it fresh after a retwist. the key is to get a good wash in before retwisting
If you braid or twist your locs and band them before washing and leave the braid and bands in until your hair dries. This will allow your retwist to last through a few wash days. I like to wash my locs once a week.

Love this! I only interlock because I have so many micro locs that I couldn’t retwist all of them only for it not last lol
thank you, i definitely get that. the time it takes to interlock is well worth it based on how long it lasts

What product did you use to retwist ? I want to avoid gels but I don’t know if water or oils hold enough
@@Dolokaa i used loc n gel in a black container

Hi there! Thank you for the videos!
When you do a 2 point rotation, what makes you choose that vs a 4 point rotation?
hi! 2 point gives me more volume than 4pt and that’s what i was going for
How long does it take to do the retwisting?

this a way to maintain the new growth i’ve gotten since the last time i interlocked my locs.
@@queentyquana ok got it. thank you
@@JesusandAdventuresInNature of course
When retwisting the back of your hair, do twist to the left or right?
i twist away from my face so it depends on what side im on

Sis, when you retwist, does it unravel when it's time for wash day?

Is this on freshly washed hair or dry hair
freshly washed & a little damp
Hi. Did you retwist the back also?
no, not yet. i am still debating on whether i want to do it or wait until it’s time to retighten in a few weeks
Did you wash your hair before retwisting?
yes, you get the best results that way
How long did you leave the clips in?
for a few hours. i’d suggest sitting under a hooded dryer for more longevity with your retwist
Your hair is Beautiful. Awwwwww what a cute lil belly. Can you please tell me the name of the music band?
thank youu 🤍 i’m not sure but i’ll try and find out for you
