I was an investment analyst in London. I went to the launch meeting for the flotation of Britt Alcroft who owned the Thomas the tank engine rights. Great meeting, we could all remember Thomas in our youth. At the end Britt, an unusual woman not in the standard city garb, said something line Gentlemen please remember it's not about the money it's about the kids. Her financial advisor looked so crest fallen I thought he was going to jump out the window.....
Well done used to love this when I was young. What about Percy. At least they all survived.
You know, I know the characters that I'm gonna mention isn't featured in this video, but I own any Thomas character prop, it'll be Thumper, Alfie and Oliver (excavator). Hopefully they're doing OK in Mattel's storage and not being thrown away.
I would love the Rosie prop, the one in storage. Hopefully that model is doing okay. I can't say the same for the duplicate at Drayton...
@@GothRailfan Wait, there're 2 Rosie models? I didn't even know that.
@@CraftsTimReview Almost every HiT era character got a duplicate model built. Honestly it was a waste to do that, being that most of characters would only appear sporadically, not do much, and/or never appear again after like one appearance.
Did the pupils on Donald and Douglas’s models get bigger?
Wait I though some models were stolen or broken. Like Rheneas, Toby, etc. Does anyone know anything about this?
Interesting.
I wonder if you have any plans for doing a follow up to this video but with the narrow gauge engines and the engines from Seasons 9-12.
And road and boat and rolling stock
You’ll just have to wait and see 😉.
Are you going to do part 2 of this
The urge I have to save Thomas from Mattel is crazy.
Oh, how ironic they found the thomas prop it's dead
is it me or did they put animated faces on the model trains?.
They did in season 12
The down the mine pilot Gordon looks so… wrong… like it looks so wrong it’s genuinely kind of unnerving to look at. If I had to guess it would be the face.
Wasn’t Arthur on display at one of the public events in 2021?
He was, but as of 2023 he is in storage.
Daisy didn’t share boco’s chassis until later episodes - I’m pretty sure she was depicted as bo-bo originally x
I wonder what's in the storage unit and what it looks like 🤔
9:28 that picture of facless Percy is cursed and will haunt my nightmares. Lol
Which museum are the Mattel models located in, I can't make out the pronunciation.
What about the other characters from seasons 1 & 2, Terence the tractor, Bertie the Bus, Harold the Helicopter, Trevor the traction engine?
They'll be in the next video.
Well, I really hope the perspex model isn't the real one on the internet rn, but I'm sadly positive it's most likely the rea Thomas model.
real* (my editing working work)
mattel stole all of my friends, AND KIDNAPPED ME?!
I admit I need to get a few of these by Bachmann Like Gordon & a bunch of his express coaches Duck especially since I had one as a Matchbox!
need Bill too since I got Ben cause it my rl name!
think I read they wanted to do the whole story with the Flying Scotsman but didn't cause of what you said!
Think you can do a vid on the narrow gauge props sometime?
How does the twitter user Thomastankmerch aquire the screen used props?
Any idea where Harold is?
Glad to see many are safe, would be nice to see all of them at Drayton manor at some point. Idky but i always think Arthur’s nose gives micheal Jackson vibes 😂
What about the road vehicles and jack and the pack?
What happened with Annie & Clarabelle and the Troublesome Trucks?
