Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
this man has visited about 36 Greek Islands already!!! The goverment needs to offer him citizenship already! 😂😂
I am a Greek citizen and I support this message!
The best promotion for our Island's!!!!
FYI: The Greek-themed NW Florida town of Tarpon Springs was founded by emigrants from this Kalymno. Sponge Divers.
Hi Gabriel, me and my wife are fans of yours. We are enjoying your videos from your adventures around the world. As Greek people living in Athens we feel great that you like so much the Greek islands. If you ever get a chance though, we would like to saw you another side of Greece. The mountains of Greece, especially The Pindos and Agrafa mountains that we love hiking and which are really cool for summer holidays as well. Please, do not hesitate to contact me, if you would like to visit these wonderful remote places! Achilles
I also highly recommend the mountains, especially Evrytania where I was born. I have been in the States since my teenage years after immigrating here in 1960. Currently I reside in North Carolina near Winston-Salem.
Thank you for the island tours I have not a chance to visit...
Cheers from Greece lover ✌
I would definitely want to see some Greek mountain scenery someday. I've been on the Lefka Ori and Psiloritis mountains on the Island of Crete but of course they're nothing when comparing with mountains of mainland Greece. Skiing trip to Northern Greece would be a not-so-typical holiday 😄
I think that in general, it would be worth visiting areas of Greece that aren't saturated with tourists.
@@ckroustalis8244 Are there many mountains and rivers in Carolina?
@@asianfacility5682 North Carolina is the home of the Great Smokey Mountains, Mt. Mitchell (the highest peak in the eastern US), the Blue Ridge Parkway - all part of the Appalachian mountain range. The Appalachian Trail runs from Georgia to Maine and many people hike it over several months! As far as rivers, the state's rivers are relatively small. Some are: the Catawba, the Yadkin and the Roanoke. All of them are dammed to supply water for the major population areas. One river, the New River, begins in the NC mountains and goes north to join the Ohio River!
I hope this helps.
@@ckroustalis8244 Thank you. It's great.
Us Greeks appreciate your videos, since it's easier to travel out of the country compared to within the country. You help us get to know our land
Wow that was an amazing tour of the island Gabriel. As Lebanese it felt a lot like home for me, lots of similarities in the terrains and weather. I guess its the Mediterranean 🌞⛵
Bravo Gabriel we traveling with you across Greek islands
Excellent images & scenery to make the film companies want to come here well done Gabriel
Beautiful island 🏝everything looks really cool 👍🏖good job 👏😁Thanks for sharing and take care 😁✌
Gabriel, another well done tour of a very local area, and thanks for giving us the names of the places you visit. Often you name places like churches which mean more to your listeners than they might to you. Orthodox listeners then plan their next summer's tour from your video and descriptions! And you even do close-ups of signs! Hats off! St. George is your guide! (That recommends you highly!) And his symbol is the dragon slayer. Have fun!
Always love your videos on Greece. Thanks for the great content!
I visited 10 ish Greek islands and most of the mainland. Kalymos is the one of the tops. Serene, peaciful, kind locals and best dishes. Good memories. You may cut some points from transportation. There are some buses but we couldnt catch and had to take taxis. Love your content as always Gabriel, safe travels. 🙂
Keep making Greek island videos and I’ll watch every one of them. I feel like I’m part of every step you take!
Sweet, glad to hear it.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos I just left Crete a few weeks ago and your videos are just what I need. I have friends and family in Greece and coming back to the states makes me miss it all tremendously…..keep up the great work.
Love being introduced to different Greek islands by you--thanks, Gabriel Traveler!
Another great video.
I cant wait for the other one...
wow... i couldnt stop smiling the whole video! Was so unique and absolutely wonderful to watch this!!! Lots of success to u!!
Good morning. Wish I was there. The ocean waters are so beautiful.
It’s a sea not an ocean
Love Greece 🇬🇷 the people the food the ocean…..can’t wait to go back ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Gab amazing , been in Greece 3 times myself. Krete and Rhodes. Krete twice.
That's an amazing story
My family is actually from Kalymnos, and I haven't been there in over 4 years so this is refreshing.
Keep those videos coming Gabe I love them all
Cool and definitely.
Great adventures my friend, loved the "I come in peace " and the you always try to open the churches and visit them.
Well done.
This is on my LIST! Thanks for this adventure!
I love all these Greek Islands! The food looks good too 🍺
Best country in world Gabriel. Keep streak going. We love it.
Greece is so beautiful!!!!
Wow Gabe that view from your hotel room has to be the best 45 euros every spent man!!!! That is AMAZING!
My best friend, that's a great video. I will always cheer for you in Korea I'm looking forward to a great video. Have a nice day.

Food prices seem to be climbing everywhere, not quite as cheap as I'd expect!
Yeh in Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 there's a shop called Charcoal fish in suburb of Rose Bay, they sell tuna cheeseburger for $30 flat! Also inflation/interest rates especially rental prices is high in Sydney. Eggplant 🍆 alone is $10
@@balwa999 Yes but Rose Bay? come on could you pick anywhere more expensive? And Tuna/cheese- YUK!
@@balwa999 at some price point ones gotta be stupid to pay so much for something like this…
Prices are very high on the Greek islands because they have a tourist season which lasts 4 months. They close down at the end of summer,so need to make enough to tide them over until the next season.Tourism always leads to higher prices!
@@jameskingston3058 My Greek friend told be that it is a pretty common thing that there is different pricing for Greeks (locals) and tourists in restaurants. Of course those prices aren't shown on menu.
That's how it should be in my opinion.
Thank you Gabriel 😎☀️🌊 looks amazing! 😊❤
Hi Gabriel, Interesting Island, much bigger than the two others you were on. The churches you went to seem to have frescos but due to the fact of the age of the churches and the amount of damage, they replastered the walls covering them to restore the structure of the churches. These structures are constantly going through rebuilding because of their age. It must be very tedious because you are trying to maintain the existing structure and build around it. You must have had feta cheese in those salads, it's incredibly good.
Both of the salads in this video were a local Kalymnos salad which is a little different from a Greek salad. Instead of feta cheese it has straight goat cheese. Feta is made from a mix of sheep and goat milk. Quite similar but different. I prefer the feta cheese but both salads are delicious.
Nice video.
Hey Gabriel, another great video my friend. I do hope you go back to the last church you showed and get up close, I'm sure it must be old. While you were in the water I came up with a question. Do you scuba dive? If so, I think you need to offer a trip for fellow travelers to go down under to Australia and the Great Barrier Reef. I have been one time and it is one of the best trips I have ever made. If you don't know how to dive they will teach you so you have no excuse. Lol
Looking forward to tomorrow's video.
I haven't done any diving yet, just snorkeling.
Greek citizenship for Gabriel immediately 😀
Gabriel, sorry I wasn't in Kalymnos. I did promise you free airbnb and a meal. I'm still in Canada. Hopefully I'll have everything up and running by next summer.
Hello from California , Gabriel all your videos are amazing , and your story’s the details we enjoy a lot and we are following you every day thanks a lot ,
Kalymnos, yes! I knew your next hop it had to be the sponge island 😜! So now from there , you could catch the cheap boat Nysos Kalymnos and head to Agathonisi, Arkoí and maybe Marathi!
Heading to the Dodecanese islands in July. Got 3 weeks to do some exploring. Such a treat to get this preview from a great travel blogger whom I have been following for years. Keep it up Gabriel! Thanks!
Your feeling on Greece is the highest from every country on the world . I love your Greek videos
one of my best islands! great people, great "raw" culture!!! So "true" and non touristic like the other famous islands. Been there a lot of times.. Gabe try to find tsampouna players...
The excitement when you wake up to a new Greek island on Gabriel's channel! 👌
I'm going to explore Western Greece and the island of Lefkada late in August, have you been there yet?? The bluest water in Europe 💙
No I didn't go to Lefkada, I visited the other Ionian islands. You'll love it.
love all your videos; so well done and informative; I especially love your Greek videos...they make me home sick!! thank you for great content!
standing in one country looking at another country. new image. Turkey is an interesting country. was that a confessional booth? thanks for the mind vacation. nice photo. stay cool
Gabriel, maybe you'll visit nearby Patmos?
I've been there twice, nice island: ruclips.net/user/gabejedmosearch?query=patmos
Why they not convinced, Gabriel?
Love your videos
Almost all diaspora Armenians, maybe 3rd or 4th generation after 1915, have similar stories. I am an Armenian, born in Syria, grew up in Lebanon, now living in North America. And I Speak four languages.
So glad u went to kalymnos. Booked for July 2023. Cannot wait. Another great video 📹
You need to go to Delos. Was amazing. Love your videos Gabriel x
I might go there soon.
The whole island is a big museum, or at least it looks that way.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Im amazed you have not visited Patmos for that is where the cave of John wrote the amazing epic Revelations in the bible! they have built a complex around it but it is preserved and apparently ive heard there is a face on the cave ceiling of apollo ie antichrist!God bless you brother and loving your work especially on the greek islands 👑🔥🕊

Thank u so much sir Gabe for your wonderful walk around tour there I. Beautiful island of Kalymnos Greece 🇬🇷
Such BEAUTIFUL and Pure More historical story of Greece,
Godbless from your solid fan supporter viewer from the Philippines 🇵🇭 sir Vhin ❤️🙂🙂🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Oooooo mate you made my day miss my island 😫
Another great video. I love escaping to the Greek island's and your videos make it feel like I'm there with you. Thanks again Gabe!
In Orthodox churches, facing the iconostation ( the partition between the altar and the main church) the middle entrance at the center is called the Ωραία Πύλη (beautiful door.) To the right one finds Christ's icon and next to it is St. John the Baptist's icon. To the left of the center door is the icon of Mary holding Jesus as a baby and next to it is the icon of the church's patron saint. The left door depicts archangel Michael and on the right door is the icon of archangel Gabriel. I n larger churches other saints fill the extra spaces.
This is true for all Orthodox churches everywhere in the world.
I see, thanks for the info.
Thank you for visiting Kálymnos my birthplace and especially driving around Hora the old capital of the island I even see my house. Kálymnos the real Greece 🇬🇷
I have never figured out how St George became the saint of England when he is so important for the Greek Orthodox.
Till 9th century there wasn’t Orthodox, Catholic, Protestants. We all were just Christians.Human ambitions, human stupidity created all the separation.I hope one day we will join together again and end this separation.
Your the best letting people know how much things cost so they visit they know how much it will cost. Nice view from your room. In Michigan that would be $300 to $400 a night depending what city USA is getting expensive. Thanks for the video. Always great.
Haha no way that is almost my monthly rent for my apartment ($500) 😅
It's always impressive when people from around the world can speak so many different languages. Americans only speak one language and usually have problems with their own mother tongue
Gabriel, please listen to me - GO TO IKARIA - but better time period (you lucky) in 15th of AUG in LAGADA villlage - there is an Every Year Dansing Biggest Party of all Aigean Sea and Not Only....many surprises all over the Island (Christos Village ets.)
I love the moment when you jump into the water 😀
Expensive food prices 😢
You chould visit panremos in the midle off the Island
Hey man. Just wanted to say that we have been watching your videos nonstop these past two days. And, we love them. Love to see all the Greek Isles. We live in Calabria, Italy. Moved here just one year ago. And, we both so desperately want to go want to go to Greece. And each video you post makes us want to go that much more. So, thanks for making it look so great. Was in Greece end of May with my family of 3 young adult kids and spouse. Athens, Nafplio, Santorini and Rhodes, over two weeks. Epic trip. Have to say Greece is our favorite country. Watching these wonderful RUclips videos is my way to deal with nasty post-Greece travel blues... oh well, there's always looking forward to next time! And thank you Gabriel! Opening my eyes to so many more opportunities for travel in my favorite place in the world.

Hehe, Thanks 🙏 😊
Good afternoon Gabriel 🌞!! I love Kalymnos 🌅🐡 cause it has a wild beauty 🏜 !!
Its a bit strange to me why there would be cars on these little islands with little roads. I would definately opt for a motorcycle.
Also, a big community from Kalymonos in Darwin, Australia 🇦🇺
I don't know how they cope with the heat/humidity..
I'm not sure if you're referring to the heat in Greece or in Australia.
If you meant Greece, the Aegean is quite windy, so usually the heat isn't that bad, because there's always a breeze cooling you down a bit.
@@helgaioannidis9365
No I was referring to Darwin...its 30° in winter there and in summer 40° at the highest humidity...and you can't swim because the biggest crocodiles on earth
infest the sea and rivers 🤣
Greek summer is 👌
@@andreimihaesi I'd be dead after one week 😮😂
Hi Gabriel!
Really love your videos.
As a newbie I have a lot of questions. I would be grateful if you could answer them.
Which apps do you use to get around? Is it always rome2rio between cities and countries and google maps within cities? Or there are also other apps?
When you buy tickets to busses, trains and ferries, how do you decide if it's going to be online or at the station?
How do you book a flight tickets? Is it through an OTA or direct from airline?
How do you decide how many days will you stay in a new country?
How do you decide which places to visit and where to go in each country?
Which websites do you use as a travel guides to visit places?
Do you plan your itinerary before you visit a country or while you already there?
How do you decide if it's better to rent a car or to use public transportation?
When you move from one country to another what do you do with unnecessary stuff? For example if you move from cold country to hot country what do you do with warm clothes which take up a lot of space?
What is the best way to exchange currency? At ATM or exchange office? Is it better before you move to a new country or when you already there?
Thank you in advance!
Hi there, thanks for stopping by and watching. All good questions, many of which I've answered in various videos. Here's a video that will answer a lot of them. It's a playlist so you can see more practical travel videos on the right: ruclips.net/video/1S4Q7VXIwqo/видео.html
You need some water shoes. I just got a new pair from Sperry. They would be perfect for those beaches.
I love Kalymnos 🤩 there twice
Greek vilage in USA is Tarpon Springs Florida most of them are from Kalymnos Island
Nice view from your room, for just 45 euro's !
Another great video!
Food is not cheap
True. Because the quality is very good.
I live on a Greek island and when I visit my family in Germany I'm away surprised about how cheap food is in the supermarket and then I see the quality and know why it's cheap.
Interesting price dynamic...a meal costs half the price of a hotel stay. In Brazil it could be from 1/8th.
Mate are you ever going to go to kythira ?
If I'm lucky. One island at a time, there are a lot to see.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos if you like tracks and ruins(palaioxora), few compare !
The 'os' in Kos or Kalymnos is pronounced as 'oss' is in 'floss', not as 'ose' as in morose. Minor point, but worth noting!
How’s Greece 🇬🇷 in terms of tourism during this time of year?
It totally depends on which islands you go to. I'm sure that Santorini and Mykonos are mobbed right now. And it will get a lot busier in July and especially August. By September it slows down a lot.
It's very busy this year generally. But there are differences between different places in Greece.
Rhodes is packed with tourists, but I think the smaller islands and the less known places in Greece are not so full.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos yes I agree
@@helgaioannidis9365 got it thanks 🙏
Shocked about those dinner prices.
Always i was talking about the architectural distruction of Pothia & generaly the whole Kalymnos. When you was driving through the narrow streets in the town, i became true about my opinion.
The number of the local architecture buildings i count, was 6 on every 50 buildings. I thought that you was driving in my city of Mytilini narrow hill streets!!! Tragic "Islandness" and ugliness!!!
Kalymnos is a very beutiful wild island, but as about it's architecture, my grade is 3/10. And that's a very gentle grade!!!
i miss the pure clean air of greek islands! the smell of the sea! :D
Hey Gabriel, we really enjoy your videos and have for a few years now. Can you do a video on your vlogging setup and how you edit one day? Do you use an external microphone? Your videos always seem to turn out with little wind noise and are always consistant. Keep up the good work can't wait to see where you'll go next!! I hear Thailand is opening up July 1st!!
I made a video about that a few years ago. A little outdated but still relevant: ruclips.net/video/OEo1Y4AUSWk/видео.html For wind noise I have a windslayer for my camera that makes all the difference.
I've stayed in Olympic hotel in Kalimnos as a solo traveler. The worst ever. I do not know about you Gabriel but the guy at reception was very rude...I hope you found better treatment
According to Wikipedia, St George was born in Capadoccia, Turkey...
14:35 poor dogs on the chain in the heat…
