@@epic-serj I also like the fact that some songs were written by entirely another person and they'd choose who to give them to and like Meatloaf and Celine Dion and they both eventually sang it. A lot of modern pop songs are also written/composed by other people who dont actually make them into official songs, but may make some demo to give the artist as a singing direction. Toxic by Brittany was a demo done by Cathy Dennis, that I found out about a couple of years ago and I absolutely love it. But a lot of the times artists back in the day never mentioned orignal artists, when they covered them. I dont know if Roan Keaton credited Keith Whitley for example. There was All 4 One - I Swear which was original sung by John Michael Montgomery, but in the 90s I thought it was All 4 One song, it didn't credit John.
I like the original much better, sorry, it does have more vibe, more drive - and Laura simply had the better voice, into contrast. Yes, i've heard that song into the 80's. This one is too much slow-mo...
Laura Branigan version is also a cover. Raf is the original Italian artist, recorded it in 1984
Thanks for the info!
@@jaax2 You're welcome. I only found out few years ago and all through the 90s and 2000s, Miami Vice and all, I didn't know it either
Fun fact: Raf and Laura versions were challenging with each other in European charts.

You do mean the Raffaele Riefoli song as the original, right?
Yeah, some people like this version more for the very same reason too.
