That's a bowl of my thinking... simple, without glimmer and glamour... just like a little brilliant... pure!!! Amazing... I'm impressed!!! Thanks for sharing!!! 🎩👍👍🇩🇪🔨 Less is defently more!!!
Hi, could the inside of the bowl be done with just the carbide tip chisel alone or do you have to use the other one too ( I’m new to turning so have limited chisels ) Nice end product, looks fab 👌🏻

Beautiful bowl. Hard to believe that finish was just abrasive paste and no wax or oil. Great looking piece!

Very nice and clean. Well done!
This is a perfect example of ‘less is more.’ The design is simple, yet it captures attention immediately. Stunning craftsmanship!"
You brought out the good in the wood. The bowl is AWESOME!!
Absolutely gorgeous whatever wood it is.
Agreed. The wood was super easy to work with, but turned out really pretty.
The tree kind
Schön, danke
It sure turned out beautiful to be so simple.
The wood grain is really beautiful
Whatever wood it is, it looks gorgeous with the shape you gave it. ❤
Thank you!
Muito lindo. Parabéns!!! 👋🏻👋🏻
Nicely done !
Beautiful
Thank goodness for fast forward. Without it I might have wasted the entire 12 minutes and 20 seconds that this lasted.
My thoughts are redwood. The bowl turned out awesome.
Hm...that could be. It's not normal pine, but it could be a redwood species.
You describe it as soft and light. I live in the Pacific Northwest in the redwoods. I believe there’s every reason to believe it’s Redwood.
You did excellent job on this piece. Nice shape and finish. My guess is some kind of softwood like Redwood or maybe Cypress if it's all heartwood.
I think you may be right. I'm leaning towards redwood at this point.

Yes, you can use the carbide tips on the outside as well as the inside. It’s a little slower going, but it works just fine.
❤
I have been turning some cherry and your bowl looks similar.
it does have a similar look. if it is cherry, it’s way lighter than any cherry I’ve ever seen though.
I don't know what species of wood that is, but it certainly is a very nice-looking bowl.
Thanks, I appreciate that!
redwood?
This really looks like COCOBOLO. Not an expert, but I have turned some before.
why no sanding sealer ?
I don’t use sealer unless there’s a lot of porous-ness keeping me from getting a smooth finish. This finished fine.
Bei wieviel UpM's wird hier eigentlich gedrechselt ?
bei etwa 900 Umdrehungen pro Minute
Type of wood? Who cares! It’s a good job.
Thanks!

No creo estar en posición de ayudarte con eso.
My guess is either Fir or Mahogany.
Could be fir, I suppose. I’ve done some work with Mahogany and this is a lot lighter.
It looks like tree wood to me.
Seems likely to be heart redwood.
Sorry 😮 is this a video about wood turning or wood sand papering ?
Can’t do one without the other. It’s all part of the process
