Tai Chi is a medium that could transcend individuals into people who could become well appreciated. If Tai Chi were practiced properly it could unite the body with the mind to enable both to work in harmony. I hope that Tai Chi has a positive affect on those who practice and use it as a form of Art. Thank you - M Thomas

Thank you so much for these excellent videos. I practiced Tai Chi a little over 12 years ago. After dealing with Fibromyalgia for the past 12 years (better now, but deteriorated health), I want to get back into Tai Chi again. I am going to go to a class but these videos will be so helpful to practice before I start the class and in-between classes. I really appreciate you doing this in front of a large mirror so that your hands can be seen. Thank you so much.

I believe that peace of mind and concentration go hand in hand. Try sitting and breathe in your nose positive thoughts and breathe out negative thoughts slowly. When you feel comfortable doing this then walk around and do the breathing exercise while concentrating on your breathing. When you feel confident doing the above then you should start your Tai Chi with the simplicity it is since breathing is an essential part of Tai Chi. Breath out negative and breath in positive. Thank you M Thomas

I have done crystals and aromatics before so i know my breathing and center focus i am looking forward to the journey I have a head of me in the arts of tai chi. Many of my friends are in fight group with the Mathews brothers, Maney, and Jason Lambert ect... however body control and focus are key tools that have great power in the body.

This is the best Tai Chi video. I ordered the DVD and received it within 3 days at no xtra cost. The instruction is clear, with practice drills that strengthen your moves. It gives you a better understanding of the overall movement. Alot of time, effort and work went into making these videos. While I appreciate youtube, having the DVD is great (you can slow motion for what seems like a tricky movement, which for me was grasping the sparrow's tail.) I love it! Keep up the good work!!!!

Your son may grow to have a profound and positive affect in many lives! Thank you for helping your son develop into someone who may be able to think clearly and positively. M. Thomas

I envy your 2 year old because you are now giving your child an indelible positive message by performing Tai Chi. This art is an example of a life time for your child's health and well being. Let your child watch you from a high chair, play pen or crib then let your child eventually join you, if you want a lifetime companion to practice with. You will find the love connection gratifying. View all 11 parts of this extraordinary form of art on RUclips or consider the DVD. Thank you - M Thomas

Tai Chi to me is not an exercise it's the most beautiful way one can move one's body. Brought about from curiosity of self awareness I'm assuming. I like to think about the first person to experiment with our bodies movements and how it must of come about. There is a natural flow of movement and energy here. I can't thank you enough for making this video and will certainly donate what I can down the road! Thanks for your time Master *insert bow

My mother's doctor recommended Tai Chi after a heart attack for not only the emotional benefits, but for the physical, as well. Having done Tai Chi for years, quit, and now coming back to it, I can tell you that it is not an aerobic exercise, but one of controlling muscle groups and stress relief. You may sweat a lot in the beginning, especially if performed outdoors, but even that has the positive benefit of ridding you of toxins. Be mindful of heat stress until your heart is stronger.

Practicing this form has helped me to see the truth within and around me..though it is ugly its still the truth and one can only hope for peace and understanding amidst the homicidal rat race we know as life. Whether you practice the form or not every day is a new adventure in chi and it will not end until death.

You are right. If anyone can find a better source I would like to try it. The first person did learn and find methods to incorporate within Tai Chi to help achieve today's results . Tai Chi evolved over the course of a few hundred years by studying the movement of nature and animals. Replicating movements of nature and the right animals took time and effort. The only thing that could be improved is the navigation through the lessons. But this is a minor issue compared to the other benefits mentioned before.

The most important part is the beginning stance which prepares you for the rest of it. Feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, shoulders slightly rounded, head as if suspended above with a string, balanced root. This might be a nice instructional video IF the stance were explained first.

Now I have a new passion: to learn tai chi from you. I`m really happy because I found your channel. You sure are a very patient person to make these videos and posting them. And of course you deserve the title "Master" you`re too modest.
    ~I will be forever a fan :D ~

Me ha gustado y relajado ver lo sencillo que lo hace el maestro, los gestos se ven muy claros.
I liked how easy and relaxed look that makes the teacher's gestures are very clear.
Yo también requiere dedicación alcanzar las metas que usted ha mencionado. Gracias - M Thomas
I takes dedication too achieve the goals you mentioned. Thank you - M Thomas

Thank you so much for the video, I really appreciate what you're doing. I've wanted to try my hand at this for quite some time, but I don't have enough money, nor are there any decent teachers where I live. Thanks to this I can at least get a good understanding of it :) Thank you so much!

This is the best Tai Chi form tutorial I've found. When you begin learning forms, it's helpful to have already mastered using internal energy to compress and snap your spine. I personally learned from a Wing Chun video, chinaboxer's on the no-inch punch, but I had been practicing for some weeks beforehand as well. I also learned the basics of Tai Chi principles (such as balance and elbow placement) from Enter Tai Chi's channel as well as stated in Chuang Tzu (check out the story of the Ox-Carver, it explains everything in regards to Tai Chi's basis in Taoist philosophy). If you already know how to move your body in this way, it'll make your learning curve much quicker. Even if you don't master the physical movement from the beginning, it's helpful to have some notion of what you're trying to achieve, that is, the generation of power through abdominal pressure (mediated through breathing) and spinal structure (mediated through sinking your weight and tightening your butt and lower stomach to force your pelvis forward and spine straight), so that when you practice, you learn the ability that the forms are trying to teach you and not just the forms themselves.
Just sharing my advice. Have fun practicing and God bless.

There are four styles or families in Taiji: Sun, Chen, Wu and Yang. Within each of these families there are many different "forms". Yang is the most popular for many reasons. The 24 simplified Yang Style (shown here) was developed in China in the 1950s to make the benefits of Taiji more accessible to the general public. Longer forms (such as the 108) are much more complex and take longer to learn. The Yang form you refer to probably consists of 8 basic postures used in all Yang forms.
