Tai Chi is a medium that could transcend individuals into people who could become well appreciated. If Tai Chi were practiced properly it could unite the body with the mind to enable both to work in harmony. I hope that Tai Chi has a positive affect on those who practice and use it as a form of Art. Thank you - M Thomas

I ordered the DVD for this tai chi video and they are fast and efficient. I'm glad instructor goes over the steps over and over again. I look nothing like him when moving, maybe in 10 years. I highly recommend. Thank you!

Using a mirror in the back is the BEST idea ever! Most instructional videos are just facing forward and so I sometimes get my arms mixed up. Thank you very much!

Thank you so much for these excellent videos. I practiced Tai Chi a little over 12 years ago. After dealing with Fibromyalgia for the past 12 years (better now, but deteriorated health), I want to get back into Tai Chi again. I am going to go to a class but these videos will be so helpful to practice before I start the class and in-between classes. I really appreciate you doing this in front of a large mirror so that your hands can be seen. Thank you so much.

This is the best Tai Chi video. I ordered the DVD and received it within 3 days at no xtra cost. The instruction is clear, with practice drills that strengthen your moves. It gives you a better understanding of the overall movement. Alot of time, effort and work went into making these videos. While I appreciate youtube, having the DVD is great (you can slow motion for what seems like a tricky movement, which for me was grasping the sparrow's tail.) I love it! Keep up the good work!!!!

tai chi is very challenging to learn at first...especially if you are looking at the pictures on a web page(it took me an hour to learn first 4 steps) which don't show the weight shifting details...THIS VIDEO SERIES IS MUCH BETTER AND SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT! NICE JOB AND THANX.

I believe that peace of mind and concentration go hand in hand. Try sitting and breathe in your nose positive thoughts and breathe out negative thoughts slowly. When you feel comfortable doing this then walk around and do the breathing exercise while concentrating on your breathing. When you feel confident doing the above then you should start your Tai Chi with the simplicity it is since breathing is an essential part of Tai Chi. Breath out negative and breath in positive. Thank you M Thomas

I have done crystals and aromatics before so i know my breathing and center focus i am looking forward to the journey I have a head of me in the arts of tai chi. Many of my friends are in fight group with the Mathews brothers, Maney, and Jason Lambert ect... however body control and focus are key tools that have great power in the body.

I might join a class later on when I'll feel confortable enough so a teacher can correct me.

Tai Chi to me is not an exercise it's the most beautiful way one can move one's body. Brought about from curiosity of self awareness I'm assuming. I like to think about the first person to experiment with our bodies movements and how it must of come about. There is a natural flow of movement and energy here. I can't thank you enough for making this video and will certainly donate what I can down the road! Thanks for your time Master *insert bow

The only thing that could be improved is the navigation through the lessons. But this is a minor issue compared to the other benefits mentioned before.

tai chi is so beautiful. i love how slow and thoughtful it is. i love to take my time and enjoy things, so this is perfect for me. a group once showed me some of the steps you are going over and i wanted to learn ever since! i am a student myself in my first year of college. it can be so hard to get money and can be so stressful. i think this will help me with the stress. i wish i could buy the dvd right now, but i have no money. maybe when i do i will. good luck to you and your daughter!

My mother's doctor recommended Tai Chi after a heart attack for not only the emotional benefits, but for the physical, as well. Having done Tai Chi for years, quit, and now coming back to it, I can tell you that it is not an aerobic exercise, but one of controlling muscle groups and stress relief. You may sweat a lot in the beginning, especially if performed outdoors, but even that has the positive benefit of ridding you of toxins. Be mindful of heat stress until your heart is stronger.

You are right. If anyone can find a better source I would like to try it. The first person did learn and find methods to incorporate within Tai Chi to help achieve today's results . Tai Chi evolved over the course of a few hundred years by studying the movement of nature and animals. Replicating movements of nature and the right animals took time and effort. Tai Chi is a learning process with many intricate moves and it will continue to be a learning process. Thank you - M Thomas

This is the best Tai Chi form tutorial I've found. When you begin learning forms, it's helpful to have already mastered using internal energy to compress and snap your spine. I personally learned from a Wing Chun video, chinaboxer's on the no-inch punch, but I had been practicing for some weeks beforehand as well. I also learned the basics of Tai Chi principles (such as balance and elbow placement) from Enter Tai Chi's channel as well as stated in Chuang Tzu (check out the story of the Ox-Carver, it explains everything in regards to Tai Chi's basis in Taoist philosophy). If you already know how to move your body in this way, it'll make your learning curve much quicker. Even if you don't master the physical movement from the beginning, it's helpful to have some notion of what you're trying to achieve, that is, the generation of power through abdominal pressure (mediated through breathing) and spinal structure (mediated through sinking your weight and tightening your butt and lower stomach to force your pelvis forward and spine straight), so that when you practice, you learn the ability that the forms are trying to teach you and not just the forms themselves.
Just sharing my advice. Have fun practicing and God bless.

Limin Jin teaches in the Detroit, Michigan suburbs. I cannot refer any program since I am not familiar with computer programs or your computer. I also agree with you about it being easier to learn Tai Chi with the DVD because you can view it better on TV and you can reverse or play at your own discretion. Thank you - M Thomas

Thank you for the compliment and I truly appreciate your order. You can say that buying the DVD gives you a personal instructor because you get a clear picture of what to do on your TV and you can repeat and repeat at your discretion with a very clear view of what to do. Thank you - M Thomas

Practicing this form has helped me to see the truth within and around me..though it is ugly its still the truth and one can only hope for peace and understanding amidst the homicidal rat race we know as life. Whether you practice the form or not every day is a new adventure in chi and it will not end until death.

Thank you so much, I need to learn this because I must teach my husband who has Pancreatic cancer and he is learning Chi Kung right now, I thought it would also be helpful if he can do Tai Chi.
    Thank you

Thanks for your polite and quite informative answer Thomas...the way one answers tells a lot about that person ... RUclips is full of selfpromoting amateurs, so why am I not surprised over the reaction ... have a great evening :-)
