This is so nostalgic! I used to play this on my GBA all the time!
I have both versions!
@@retrorob3248 I didn't even know the other version existed at the time
x2, when I was a Kid, I had a GBA and this was one of the games I had there!
@@retrorob3248 same here
We Have that game in ps3
I can’t believe the GBA can handle even this very compressed version of the game. Impressive!
Yeah...😅
Well this is technically a remake so.
Take a look at Asterix & Obelix XXL on GBA. Then come back to this.
@@wizzgamer "Technically ☝🤓"
🙄🤦🏻♂️
i remember this game so vividly it's wild. can't believe little me was just completely fine with the crunchy ass audio and saw nothing wrong with it 😭
God the music is ungodly compressed here.
Alex Parr yep
That's actually just the game itself.......I know.....
That’s how cartridges are
At least the music is at it's original pitch.
It's from the PS1 to the GBA, of course it'll be compressec
FINALLY! I can get the M that I haven't been able to find in literal YEARS in Corsair's Cove.
I missed this game. My very first GBA game, waaaaaaaay back in 2006.
when the most advanced handheld was a Game Boy Advance, developer got really creative with pseudo 3D technique like this that it still has the familiarity with PS1 version. I even remember playing NFS Underground 2 and Max Payne on GBA SP
Am I the only one who actually LIKES this port? (for the most part, at least...)
Me too!
Though, the soundtrack is a bit rouge... 😑
@@IvanFranco120 same
I like it too I didn't even knew it was a port until today
It doesn't look or play bad at all. It's just..a compact version. Doesn't make it bad but goodness yeah that music is compressed as heck.
Atleast anubis rex isnt here; he is annoying
I still whistle the music to this day
So many childhood memories
Just imagine if the outtakes made it through this version and what they would look like!
Omg the nostalgia !!!!!
16 years later just for me to realize that I only got 5/7ths of the way through this game
I play this game (GBA version) when i was in School and i like it. Very much
I used to play this on the PS1, I had no idea there was a GBA version, it looks amazing for the system
Yep the PS1 version was remade for the GBA it's fantastic it's getting another remake too.
@@wizzgamer Yeah, Pac Man World 2 is one of my least platformers i have played yet...😅
@@wizzgamer I still need to play the Pac Man World remake. Is it worth it?
Funny how the theme from "Perilous Pipes" is the "main" theme of this port, but the level itself (and the whole Factory section) is missing.
there could be less memory in the console so it could not support 6 zones
and they used a smaller music for the menu
The childhood nostalgia
Speed at 1,25 or 1,50 feels like ps1 👍🏻such memories when i was a kid
I had this and was so confused I was not experienced in adventure puzzle games and didn’t fully understand English at the time, but will have good memories of the graphics and music
This was my very first GBA game. Got it in a three game set in 2006. It was technically four games, since my copy of Pac Man World was the 2 in 1 cartridge with Ms. Pac Man: Maze Madness, but it was those two, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
La intro es tan simple que llega a ser demasiado XD
Very cool video, keep up the good work, my friend.
This port isn’t too bad, but it’s definitely lacking
This isn't actually a port, it's a total remake. Came out in 2004, five years after the PS1 game came out in 1999. This is also my first GBA game (that I only beat recently, because I had this when I was 6 and I sucked at video games). Got this for Christmas 2006.
This is sooo nostalgic!!! I played this last night but then my battery on my gba sp ran out.
This is how [the GBA version of] the second game should've looked, not a side-scroller!
Yeah I get it was harder because PAC man world 2 was a 64 bit game and pacman world is a 32 but game and the GBA is 32 bit but they could of at least put some effort it was kind of a lazy port
@@mr.pixiedust5928, and they forgot the Blinky boss (the big, mechanical frog that was powered by the ghost Blinky).
@@mr.pixiedust5928 Pacman world 2 is not a 64 bit game. That generation was "128" bit.
@@The_Amortal_Univursal_Pharaoh Clyde, actually.
@@kevinlee7678, they got the ghosts right, but the colors wrong, except for Inky, Pinky and the final boss: Spooky.
I didn't know this existed until now. ngl, kinda impressive.
I loved this game as a kid :') I don't think I ever got to beat it tho, space race is the last thing I remember. I must have sucked so I always restarted a new game
Pac Jr. Do not appears in the GBA Version
What happen to him
Station S
E
Entertainment
Ganation
Australian
he didn't appear because the factory isn't on this version
@@nicthecat rip Pac-Man Jr
They no factory worlds but it has the sound of the factory
I found this game to be fun. I know it's not very good, but I do believe it's a solid port. At least game boy advance wise
I absolutely love this game. That said, I'm biased. This was my very first GBA game, got it waaaaaaay back in 2006.
I still like the PSX version more than the GBA
I think that goes for most people
i prefer the gb because its not scary
like it loads in 1 second and there is no screen for losing ur lives and there is always music
1:54:00 has anyone ever found the power pellet in that scene? Those ghosts & pac dots appear, but not the Power Pellet to eat them. 😕
It's frustrating not to eat those damn ghosts.
I think you need to active an switch for an power pellet to spawn...🤔
to this day i have never been able to complete even the first stage of this game!
Notice how the only themes in the game are the ones that were CD quality, imagine hearing the compressed themes EVEN more compressed..........
time for nam flashbacks
1:53 you bet your ass that’s a slight error, I can’t even tell who’s speaking that dialogue.
I would say the same but after seeing the ps1 version I now know that the red dialogue is Mrs. Pacman and the green is the ghost but yeah it is really hard to tell who's talking here
I think Jr pac should of replaced Pooka in this version.
I actually have this version! It took me a long time to realize the obvious:
This port sucks!
>.
i think the port is fine but compared to the origanal it sucks
It seems to be taken from "freegames.com" XD
imagine pirating pac man world for gba
It plays nice, and is fun to play, just mute the sound if that’s an option while playing for the best experience
Its alright with an old gba
Los niveles de fábrica quedaron ausentes en la versión de Game Boy Advance
Ya, no aparece en esta versión.
También varias cosas
This game is so awesome

This was far better than pac man world 2. Just seems so much more detailed.
I fucking *hate* the GBA port of Pac Man World 2. This was so much better than that crap.
@@KameWeeb agreed. Idk why it dropped in quality so harshly.
I like how Pac-Man is colored to walk underwater
Does anyone else remember having this exact copy for the ps1 also ?
Yeah it was one of my favourite games growing up!
Oh, yeah. I LOVE the PS1 version.
2004
I always thought this game was hard tho
As a kid, I did too. Never managed to beat it, but I came close. Made it to...I think I made it to Grave Danger (the second to last level, right before the Toc Man boss), and I gave up. Didn't beat it until I was almost 21, when I was MUCH better at video games.
The levels seem to get really bland and basic looking after the first pirate world
Like most of the development time went to that
You just have to play the original version, there’s no way around it
@@Nic_2751 There was a pc port made in korea. It's really hard to find though.
And now there's a remake
@@pacapprovedsomecrabmeat Thanks Captain Obvious. 😊👍
Did they remove the song far out in this version?
Most of it
only the music that appears in the maze of the zone of the ps1 version (like space race music appears in far out) because they are on cd quality
There only one boss in GBA
Yeah, Toc Man at the end of the game. No King Galaxian, nothing. It sucks.
Why is tocman the only boss in gba
Wow it's Pac-Man World
Flea Market edition
Great remake of the PS1 classic.
That M in corsair Beach is so hidden!
Yeah, most players could miss that "M" easly because they don't expect that the rooftops can actually be climbed on..
Also, it took me a few tries to figure out. 😅
I'm not joking when I say it took me almost 15 years to find that M. I first played the game back in 2006 when I got my GBA for Christmas.
I didn't find that M until I was almost 21. That's how hidden that bitch is.
something about the cutscenes look like a flash animation
pac world for GBA: Where the fok is Factory Levels and bosses? Looks like a phone port game. The only boss is TOCMAN
Yeah, possibly because it was the only boss for been recreatable for the GBA hardware.
9:25 i was stuck on this tutorial when i was little bc i didn’t know i could do that lol
Why does it looks it is on mega drive?
IonicHyperspace What kinda Master System are you using? xD This looks TOO good to look like a SMS game
Could you do Ms Pac Man Maze Madness longplay on gba
Oh god, THAT was a fun game. Both on GBA AND N64! I had the double pack that had this and Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness on the same cartridge.
@@KameWeeb May do an gameplay video about that game...🤔
@@IvanFranco120 if you do it, I'll absolutely watch it. I still haven't beat it, and I had the game when I was 6. I'll be 23 this year, to put that into perspective.

Underrated AF in my opinion. Probably my favorite GBA game of all time right in front of Pac-Man World 2 and Pac-Man Collection. Got much more favorites.
1999 2004 año 6 pac man world
The bosses are not in this version except for Toc Man
FINAL BOSS 2:01:26
the fact that they didn't add bosses but just one are just too Lazy!

Let’s go Luna game boy advance in 2007
He ate the ghost ate the end?? That’s kinda weird
It was also like that on the PlayStation
He deserved it it my opinion
Hes Pac-Man duh
It's Pac Man, what did you expect? That said, the ending IS kinda weird.
Boss battle time and the boss is..... tocman Once again Has he been dead since pacman world repac? 2:01:26

GameCube version is better
????
pacman world dont have gamecube version
Coconut Head Are you thinking of Pac-Man world 2 or 3?
You’re thinking PS1 version is better
I wish it was on the GCN!
this port is so stinky
The second one on GBA was actually a side scroller. I feel like if they'd tried the isometric view again they could have improved it a bit, but I still think a side scroller was the best decision for a sequel.
One of the worst ports of a game in terms of gameplay and perspective, up there with the port of BIONICLE The Game, the isometric cameras for platformers here just weren't the best idea.
Horrible
