      I'm just saying as a Libertarian, I think all drugs should be legal and safe to use!
      Yeah ppl don't like that idea but a lot of ppl still use illegal drugs and the Government could make a lot of money from it! Think of FL in the 2000s....

      parents may not have the experience about buying or using any kind of drug either. I have used oxycodone, my physician prescribed it ; but those who never took may not know and how the drug affects it. What I do not understand is from oxycodone to fentanyl, how?

      Everyone involved. Not sure why he got the Oxy. Maybe it was legit. Lacing it with Fentanyl is shady as hell. I was just in Mexico. I was stunned at what you could buy over the counter. 1st thing I thought was. Is that crap possibly laced with fentanyl?

      That’s what he was looking for. No one “scared of fentanyl” is using strips to test sees they are fentanyl then takes them anyway. His mom was in denial he lied to his mom and or she was aware he was a full blown addict.

    America 🇺🇸 is to blame they make it impossible to get pain meds in the USA or Adderall. It’s extremely hard I have a toothache. I can’t get Oxy. Am thinking about going to Mexico. But I see this video. Is the risk worth it.ill think about it.

      Our great Nation is to blame, they allowed this hell approved by the DEA & when just about 1/2 the nation is addicted including Dr’s, medical staff, judges, priest, soccer moms & Grandparwnts! Now ppl r looking for detox, & rehab but the 🌎wasn’t ready for that! No where to turn when ppl r fighting, suing Perdue & doctors they rip the rug from under, no more Oxy’s all schedule 1&2’s must b monitored! But not in Mexico, y wouldn’t he try his luck in Mexico ??? From what I’ve learned u can walk into the right pharmacy & buy these perc’s or happy pills! It’s the same as trying ur luck wit a dealer!!

      I honestly think this is to scare Americans from going to Mexico to get meds. There is no proof the pills he got in Mexico were fentanyl. He took a pill in Mexico and he didn't died but he died in while he was back in the US??? Fentanyl kills you instantly. This story is fishy.

    My question is why did he purchase OxyCondone in Mexico? Did he have chronic pain in his body? OxyCondone is considered an opioid drug. And there was fentanyl in that drug?!??

      And he was a nurse and a fireman, he'd know better about narcotics. Years ago the hospital where I worked studied Mexican pharmacy medications for their active ingredients, like antibiotics and blood pressure pills. At best they had 70% of the medication, at worst it was zero. They don't have the checks and balances we do in the USA. Sorry for this guy, he's cute and has a nice family, but if you play you pay. Don't want to pay? Don't play.

      Why??? because Oxycodone feels amazing and is an EXTREMELY common drug of abuse??? Silly question honestly. Fentanyl and Oxycodone are BOTH opioids and produce basically the same effects.

      He was a nurse, he knew better. Why did he wait to go to Mexico to get narcotics....because it's easier. He played and he paid. Don't want to pay...don't play. Mom knew he was going to buy the drugs and now blames the cruise line rather than taking accountability herself and for her 22 year old adult son's decisions. If he fell off a rock climbing would it be the ship's responsibility not warning that gravity can kill?

    I'm sorry for this woman's loss, her son didn't deserve to die - nobody says so, but hadn't she herself allowed him to buy the drugs in the first place?
    Buying a highly-controlled substance for which a special form of prescription is required, without any at all, is a serious crime and whoever does that could expect anything. I h@te when people refuse to take responsibility and blaim everyone else for their mistakes.

      I’m sorry for his loss too. This young man was an adult (not a child) and wanted to do what he wanted to do. Unfortunately, there were deadly consequences. I know 22 is considered a “kid” in the grand scheme of things but he’s a legal adult.

    We just got back from Cancun today, and there were pharmacies everywhere. I was curious and asked at 4 of them about oxys and they were going to sell them to me. The prices were extremely high and told them I'd think about it. A couple pharmacies even had Happy Pills sign above the pain meds lol. Freaking crazy, I just stuck with alcohol during the trip.

      Don’t know where you were, but in the cruise ports they chase you around and tell you they have Oxy, Xanax, Adderall, etc. but I figured everyone knew that the Cartels control these and they’re laced w/Fentanyl

    It’s sad that her son made the fatal mistake of buying a medication that requires a prescription without a prescription . That was a red flag right there. In America, you can’t just buy those medications without a prescription, why buy them like that in a foreign country? Americans trying to get cheaper medications or services in foreign countries is the problem. There will always be criminals who absolutely don’t care about your life, don’t risk it. She’s been traveling long enough that she knows the risks she’s taking by doing so, she’s a grieving mother who wants to blame someone for her sons death. It’s truly sad for the loss of her child.

    Yes your son made that choice, but i also remember when i was growing up that we could "experiment" with drugs and that it didn't cost us our lives....this is a very scary world we live in right now and i am so so sorry that your son was a causality in this horrid drug addled world we are in....he didn't deserve to die no matter that he walked into that pharmacy...this fentanyl epidemic nearly cost me the love of my life, the father of my children and companies and countries etc. need to start to be held accountable!!! I have three kids....and the thought of losing them is horrifying to the millionth degree, but because of your son's story, sadly your son's story, i have talked to all my kids and even their friends about Narcan and how to use it and we have a few cannisters in our home....like we are losing our families!!! I am so angry and sad and i am so sorry for your loss which is the understatement of the year, i am so sorry.

    The mother knew, Im old & street smart about drugs I would have said no if it was my child, but regardless it's so so sad ,I feel for the family's that have gone through this I personally know kids that are gone because of Fentanyl...We live in dangerous times...go hug your loved ones tell them you love them ...✌🏾❤️😪

      He was on a cruise, I've never been on one, and he bee lined it to the pharmacy for narcotics. Cruise ships can't warn people not to sky dive, parasail, snorkel or go buy drugs. Any could kill you, you just have to know some things yourself. She's blaming everyone but her son.

      Try to be a little bit more understanding and isn't using drugs a part of life not in the sense that everybody does them where opinions differ but in the sense that you can't be high while dead that makes it part of life like everything in our existence but if you mean it in a sense like he was risking his life too much to really love life just look at extreme sports where athletes risk their life but they enjoy it and it makes them appreciate life even more
      But maybe he was severely depressed and needed a relief

    biggest oxycodone suppliers around early 2000s were a german family named chemist company founded by their family160 odd yrs ago who are based in New Jersey ( head office for tax purposes is Ireland since 2012) . They bought or took over other pharma companies over last 18 yrs. Through them, just in usa they supplied many billions of this painkiller , at one stage early 2000s their supply led to every person of population in USA could have had 70 oxycodone per year each .
    I am sure through a small group of doctors that they just thought usa needed/demanded their painkiller . I couldnt see such a responsible company massively upping production just for more big bucks , could you ?

    Ppl with ADHD struggle and the meds they prescribe us here in the USA don’t work. Opiates work but the government has everything so locked down ppl resort to this. Not all of us abuse the prescriptions and actually take it as prescribed but when ur trapped in ur own mind u get desperate and just want to feel normal and function normal

    Mexico pharmacies aren't the same a Peruvian pharmacies. Not to say there couldn't be fake oxycodones in both pharmacies (especially the Peruvian ones where you can just get anything you want by asking), but I think there's something wrong with this story. And they just gave him 19 oxycodones without a prescription? I don't think so.

      US hates when they have competition. Make it legal like weed, alcohol, but regulate it were it’s clean and comes from an actual pharmaceutical company. You would cut overdoses in half, cut the cartels out, increase local tax revenues, create a industry also providing jobs, and you have a clean product. Fighting this “war” on drugs for 50yrs to get no where and only making it worse.

    It is truly tragic that this young man had to lose his life in this way! Sadly too also, is that mainstream America doesn't seem nearly as concerned about people (like the Homeless) dying from drugs of any kind, until it hits Middle Class white People. I also hope this doesn't end up becoming a maga narrative for blaming our Southern Borders (& need to add to the wall); when it is hardly an issue of desperate Immigrants just dying for a better & oft life threatening need - place to live?!!

    I'm afraid I've just lost all sympathy for anyone who uses drugs. We have an epidemic of drug addiction. Society is over run by drug addicts who are ruining our communities and businesses. For Christ's sake how hard is it to just NOT USE DRUGS!
