Building a Midsummer Fairground

- In this video I´m continuing the creation of the miniature Midsummer Fairground by building a motorized carousel "Merry Go Round" for the kids and a Pergola to cover the musicians on rainy days. The Midsummer diorama is a snap-in landscape module for my Model Railroad, which I have in place on the layout in the summers. This miniature is built in H0-scale, meaning 1:87.

Awesome work. 😎👍🏼. I love it.
Your command of English is only bettered by your patience to show us these fabulous videos. Frank
With the animation in the ride it really reminds me of miniature wunderland. Looks really really good 👍
Merci ok🇨🇵❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍😁
I probably don't have the room to do something like this
Looks lovely ! I really like how you have grouped the people, looks very real. So then you need the music to go with the playing men. How about a button that you press and then you will hear that typical swedish summermusic. Thanks !
Oh my word, so amazing Martin, so great to see. Hope you and your family are well in these trying times.....take care
Many of my SCENIC layouts are pop out as I have a standard Autumn scenes, however for Christmas displays I exchange them with a Wintery Holiday theming. The Christmas display stands in place from November 1 (All Saints Day) through January 6 (Epiphany/Little Christmas).
I truly enjoyed your Midsummer scene. I was wondering if there are any other traditional elements to the scene you could build and present in future episodes?
My Great-Grandfather was from Sweden before migrating to Denmark (where he met and married my Great-GrandMother) then they traveled on to the U.S. I have a few memories of FarFar telling us Wee Ones stories of Trelleborg. But as I am now get older, and my memories are failing. It's my RxR layout that keeps my thought process clear.
Manga Tack for your videos.
Jim

Yepp! Sorry for that. A missing drawing in the rendering..
Hi sir
Another great video with wonderful tips and techniques! Thank you for sharing, Martin!
Really Inspiring and impressive work. I love your work. Keep well, Clint
you are the best man
Too bad they did not have a little music chip and mini speaker in that kit. Like they have in some greeting cards. Thought you were going to cut your finger when copeing/notching out that mini beam.
Beautifull, one comment. Why not glue a few children figures in the chairs, it would make more sense that it is turning with children the without!
Those items add up to a very nice scene. I do love motion animation like your swing. Thanks for sharing this.
Wow, again a beautiful and impressive result! Greetings from Belgium!
Inspiring video all the way from Zimbabwe love your work.
love your idea, thanks for sharing marlin
Part of what I love about these videos is that we get a tutorial but we also get a glimpse into life in Sweden. I'm American so I really enjoy seeing how you bring local events and landscapes to life.
Nice video Martin! Always a pleasure to watch! "North Eastern" Lumber is also my preferred choice for several kinds of Z-scale scratchbuilding! I used it for example last week to give the roof running boards on my little MÄRKLIN "Kittel-Steamwagon" Art.No.:88145 an more realistic looking! All interested I´ll invite to watch my newest Z-scale video impressions where this improvement can be seen among lots of other things. The great thing is, it´s available also in very, very small dimensions. "In that case even perfect for Z-scale". Kindly regards to Sweden, Olli alias "DER Z-CRACK" Modelrailroadvideos in Z-scale (1/220)
Winter here in New Zealand, l enjoy your style of videos, must view more of your back videos!
As is usual, another brilliant addition to your mesmerizing layout. I am continually amazed and amused by your channel and look forward to each new episode. Thank you for sharing your passion!
You built your carousel by yourself! Impressive! That's what our hobby is all about! Thank you and greetings from Germany! 😊🚂🚃🚄👍
The carousel is from us - Modellbahn Union. Greetings from Germany ;-)

Sehr schön. Danke! Eure tollen Prellböcke habe ich ja schon verbaut.
Do you think I could use a motor like that and put it inside of a model of a helicopter to turn the rotors? I'm working on scenes on my layout from different times and incidents through my life. I worked as a medic for an EMS agency and I'm creating a scene where a car was hit by a train and I want a medevac helicopter to be landing in the business next to the accident.
of course:

Nice job, once again, I'm getting used to it😊. I liked the pergola very much, when you have time you can build one in my garden 🤪.
Greetings from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿.
Já jsem taky Čech! :-)

Teď prosince to bude.
Poslední 4 měsíců jsem už koupil 14 lokomotivy a taky vagóny. Koleje zatím ne protože plán zatím není hotovo.
Bydlím v Milavče u Domažlice. A ty?
Pozdrav a možná nikde s uvidíme.
RobinRed.
PS.
Ohhh!!! Great, amazing!!! Real good job!!! Regards from Portugal
Was worth the waiting. Keep up the good work and stay safe and healthy. Grtz from the Netherlands
Another brilliant video and a pleasure to watch except for the continuous advertising.
Really enjoyed the little build, and having these snap in modules, you can create some intricate work without having to break your back leaning over to work on them.
Hi. Im the first for the first time. As we used to, you made something perfect again. Congratulations.
Great video! Thank you for sharing!
Hello. That turned out very nice again and a wonderful little fairground was created. Thanks for the great tutorial. LG Tino
Absolutely great!
Wirklich toll!
I know midsommer from Ikea 😄
Finden wir auch! Übrigens: Toller Account 👍
Lovely work :)
In the sunlight it really looks life-like 😯👍 But why no people swinging on the carousel? 😁
I am pretty sure he put the diorama outside. And took pictures there.
Really great videos; Just taken up my model making again after many many years, and now trying to make a working water mill. I need to make the wheel work and have heard of someone who used real water. Not sure on that one. just need a slow running motor !! Again Thanks Geoff.K
Hey marklinofsweden! i was wondering if anlog trains work with a mobile station? obviously i know that i wont get any sound effects on them, i just wanted to know if i could run my old analog trains with new tracks and controllers
Excellent work !
Outstanding! Thanks.
So the photo you took of how it looks ended up a black screen early on. Intentional?
nice
@10:50 the final shot really looks great ... well done!
Hej hej, do you have a video on how to create the midsommer pole?
Toki Wartooth meets modeling!
Cool! 👍🏼
It looks fantastic is there a way you could increase the weight of the seats to make them hang even more realistically ?
Thank you! A very good video.
Hold da op, jeg kunne se dine videoer i timevis i love it
Sir plz upload at least once a month btw love from INDIA🎉
Unfortunately, here in India we are not exposed to railroad hobby so much but I love railway there and quality products out here in INDIA. we don't have model railway supplies in India at the from hornby, Bachmann etc. It is extremely difficult to rise a hobby like model railroading in INDIA 😓😓😓😓
Go larger scale, and look up 16mm scale. Most trains coaches ect can be built from card, wood, metal, plastic. The scenery is the vegetation in your garden. Google Colin Beenie, for ways to make batch small wagon components. All great fun.
I am your biggest fan from India
Plz make track or rail related vudeos
Wow we're are you from you I'm Pakistan
Jäkligt trevliga videos! The editing is great! Very helpful and informative.
