bro, thanks for this. I have DJI MIC2, and I struggle to connect it via Bluetooth, when I do, the audio does not transmit/ get recorded. What should I do?
You record via bluetooth on the acepro the audio will be blended with the video and not on the mic transmitter. If u hit record on the mic u get nothing as for now
So, once I connect the mic with Bluetooth /headphones. I just normally record / shoot using the ace pro? But I tried that, there’s no audio when I play back the video
Is it possible to adjust the input volume of the dji mic 2 (or any other kind of Bluetooth microphone). I’m just wondering how feasible it is to use these Bluetooth microphones to record loud audio without clipping.
@@photorabz thanks for the reply. I’m specifically interested in recording audio straight in to a insta360 ace pro using Bluetooth, instead of the mic adapter. So I think you’ve answered the question, thank you. :)
Thanks again for the video. hope you are doing well. I have a question regarding the microphone Sabinetek smartmike+. Can this easily be connected to the Ace Pro via bluetooth and if yes, do you need to use the sabintek app to use the microphone? is that an easy setup and usage? And does it connect easily to the X3 camera as well?
Hi thx for the comment. Tbh it is so easy to connect it to the acepro, u don"t need the app at all. You can use the app to tweak the settings of the mic maybe but tbh no need at all. I haven't tried with x3 i think we cannot connect a bluetooth mic to it we need the audio adapter from insta360. If you want to purchase the sabinetek use my affiliate link to get a nice discount on it. Thx again and hope i answered ur question
@@photorabz thank you so much for your help. Have you tried to connect 2 sabinetek smartmike+ to the ace pro? Is that even possible to connect via bluetooth 2 microphones? Eg 2 persons have each their own mic and are talking. How will this work with the ace pro? Is it possible? Is one voice recorded left channel and the other voice recorded right channel? Hope you can help, as i want to order either 1 or 2 from sabinetek.....
Bluetooth protocoles arent that easy and simple. A bluetooth device such as acepro can accept 1 device via bluetooth sharing same protocole. But your pc can accept headphones, keyboard, mouse, and so on via bluetooth kz all different protocoles..but cannot accept 2 headphones bluetooth for example. If you need dual mic setup get the audio adapter, the ulanzi mic, rhe fulaim x5 mic at about 100 euros ans you are good to go with 2 mics
All the audios u test are horrible. I want to use the dji mic 2 but dont know if will fix the bad quality when connected to ace pro. I know that action 4 u can connect the dji mic 2 and have good quality but i want the ace pro what should i do ? He
With ace pro you should get the audio adapter and then plug the receiver of a wireless mic . Dji mic 2 we don't have a receiver so it won't work. Or you can use the on board recording and sync the audio in post
@@photorabz i dont want to use receiver. Makes me a headache it looks simple but for me is super complicated because i will record on bike videos . Is like motorcycle vlogging and having received and all stuff for audio makes it bulky
Honestly the direct audio in Ace Pro is horrible. I ordered Action 4 few weeks ago and did some tests on it, including the audio by sending a direct signal to it from my PC. Then I got the Ace Pro and I love everything about it except the audio part. It's muffled and overcompressed compared to Action 4. I'm a DJ and music producer and I really would love to use Ace Pro's audio adapter but the sound is so bad I need to always sync it in post for my reels. I hope Insta360 can address those problems in the firmware updates.
@@photorabz "Works well" doesn't really mean anything. It could work well to you if you've tested it only with microphone and your voice. The audio processing falls flat against Action 4 when you feed it with more demanding source like music. Action 4 works perfectly while Ace Pro's sound is overcompressed and overall lower quality. And I do own Ace Pro so I'm speaking from the experience ;)
i bought rode video micro and hollyland and few other mics but was not satisfied with the quality then i bought rode wireless go 2, which is a great mic, but to be honest i did nit used it even once because i bought dji ismonaction 4 and the internal mic on action 4 is the best, i used it in outdoors and indoors both and its the best in every condition. i just love osmo action 4 for the great audio wuality
Rode video micro is the entry level mic so yeah there are some better options. Which hollyland you got? Rode wireless go2 is great as well, but for me i don't like the square format of the rode i find it somehow old school
@@photorabz i got hollyland lark c1 when i was filming from my iphone, but ever since i bought action 4 i swear i have not used any single external mic, the audio quality is so crisp, whts ur take on the action 4 mic?
you recomended me sony zv e10 with samyang lens, can you advise any not very expensive zoom lens for vlogging with zv e10? because samyang does not have manual zoom
I come to a conclusion. I have ace pro but im returning it to buy action 4. Not because of low light because ace pro wins in low light. Im doing it because of AUDIO there is no audio for ace pro and i dont want to be around with lot of stuff like receiver. Action 4 i will use at night and is little bit better but i highly require good audio. So dji mic 2 and action 4 will do the job for vloging and action camera I love ace pro but since i want everything wireless im letting it go. Action 4 with gymbal+ dji mic 2 and thats it and is simple and when doing bike videos i just put in my backpack front and activate low light and thats it, if there is some stabilization i use this program called gyroflow And when doing vlogging i ise the gymbal and walking. Audio is super important and i ewnt wverything to be portable and not carryng lot stuff around.
Having a gimbal makes it huge no? I made an interview with insta360 they said they are working on a fw update and it will concern the bluetooth so probably they are working on it. But not sure when it arrives
@@photorabz so they will fix the 32 bit for the dji mic 2 ? Oh so if they gonna do that so is better not to return my ace pro and wait for the update so the audio sounds better with the dji mic 2 then.
Nor the action 4 or pocket 3 can record 32bit float with dji mic2. The 32 bit float is only for the on board recording of the mic. You can try use it with ace pro (without bluetooth connection) and sync them later. Pocket 3 , action4, or most of the new cameras even big cameras can't have 32 bit audio yet. Limited to 16 and some cameras 24 bit
@@photorabz oh damm. I though action 4 had the 32 bit since is (dji+ dji )makes sense instead of (other brand + dji) Ok so the audio sounds the same as connecting to ace pro. But in your video pocket 3 was connected by bluettoh? Because it was the best sound of the whole video. But yeah i will do that even is old tech but i need good audio
Pocket 3 connected to dji mic2 via wireless signal...and it is not the same bluetooth bandwidth...acepro and gopro have bluetooth and audio isn't for recording..mainly for voice commands
what camera do you use? Its so good
Dji pocket 3
Thanks, the wind reduction doesn’t seem great. The mic overall won’t be enough for me to do what I intend so I would need an external mic
Yeah exactly check my other video vlog setup with ace pro

What mike did you use in this video between the tests because it sounded the best.
Dji mic2 with pocket 3
I think if we use the audio adapter of insta360 we can get great results
Will they ever address the focus on the ace pro? It focuses more of the background than you when the camera is facing you :(
Hello, in my live yesterday i talked abt it if you wanna watch the replay..there is a solution
My Ace pro will not connect with dji mic 2. It can find it but it will not connect. Even with the firmware update.
Yeah the new firmware update screwed it big time. They are working on it. Meanwhile check my newest videos abt this topic as well
What is the main camera and mic you are using ? And on a side note...love your hobest videos 🎉
Thx alot. It was pocket 3/dji mic 2
the mic 2 connected to ace pro sound really bad. Do u think will be resolved? I want wireless connection i hate cables :(
Audio adapter wireless mic, reveiver plugged with a short cable that works. Or on board recording on any mic and sync them in post
The hollyland mic had a bit of echo, like a buzz
I did not notice it until now thanks
