I think you just summed up her whole character in that: Cuz Sumeru doesn't have a lot of importance placed on the arts, so she doesn't really fit in. But a lot of people adore her!

Sometimes Genshin characters have weird quirks that become their whole personality and feel like a gimmick- I love that Nilou doesnt feel like that, she's just a kind happy lady :D

There's a certain fire to Nilou. Her derermination to prove herself, to no longer be invisible to a world full of academics, but a dancer who captivates everyone.
Is that the factor in common with Hydro perhaps? Barbara, Xingqiu, Kokomi, Ayato, Yelan, Childe, they're all trying to prove something to themselves. Their strength or capability.

I love how this demo not only shows Nilou's gameplay, but also the little glimpses of her personality. Like how she uses analogies in her narration (and Kusanali loves analogies), or how the realisation that she left the ribbon all the way in the desert doesn't make her panic.
I got a feeling that removing "ogies" from "Kusanali loves analogies" will get someone busting down my door and shouting "Mahamatra! Open up!"

I listened to all her voice lines on my private server and she’s so well spoken and wholesome. Her English VA did an amazing job
People always say “nilou has no personality” I feel people think that characters need a energetic or sassy or sarcastic personality, to have personality. I feel like it’s nice to have a simple but nice character sometimes, like a character without some crazy sad backstory I feel like Nilou is a perfect example of that. She doesn’t have some sad backstory and stuff, she is just simply a girl trying to what she loves and that’s what I love about her. I feel like that’s what makes her perfect, she is simple but very effective.
That’s the issue. “Regular” doesn’t cut it for most ppl so ofc she’d come off as bland to them .-.
i love Nilou, but people call her bland for a reason. she is ONLY about dancing, every her voice line includes dancing, all her plot and backstory are about dancing, and this is kinda annoying. it's hard to read her character stories - this is how much word "dance" it has in it

I really love her teaser and demo. For me, it is not that intense nor too loud. It is peaceful, graceful and calming. Her dance has a sense of tranquility, and her movements are soft and gentle as a zephyr

When I speak english, foreign friends had trouble while they tried to pronounce my name. So I always say “you can say Nilu” for a very longtime, even in turkish no one calls my actual name. And Nilufer’s mean is water lily (lotus flower). When I watched this, I was like “here I am, dancing and butchering” haha. Each time they say Nilou I feel weird haahhaa. I really wanted to meet the person who designed that character.

I like to think that it's her theme that played in the dance of sabzeruz rather than the other way around. hoyoverse always remixes the character's theme in cutscenes where it's their moment to shine and that makes it really touching
Pretty sure that's the intention here. Just like Eula's theme played in her introduction, Nilou's theme playing in the Sabzeruz makes sense.

I've been going through the character demos and noticed. So here's Nilou and Eula dancing in their videos and they look really good, not awkward, like how cg dances usually go.
The flow is smooth and not stiff. And the animations are beautiful.
She’s like the oasis in the sweltering desert. She looks so peaceful and her voice is refreshing. Her theme is pretty good too.

To be honest I was kinda hoping that she would be a catalyst user, she seems so graceful so I thought that being a catalyst like Kokomi would fit well, but a sword works well too because she can incorporate it into her dance-like way of attacking

The music of 'The dance of Subzeruz' almost portrays the emotions of the Sumerians so well. It brings back the memories of Dunyarzad and her dreams. So beautiful.
I mean this is probably the best demo music speaking of diversity and composition
It starts off with a relaxing piano.
The strings come up to bring in a bit of tension, and then release until they come back on the third bar before the actual next section
Section B hits us with a sudden falssetto flute that takes the lead.
The flute in this section, in comparison to the rest of the instruments, feels like it is out of control, like a lotus that has not had the chance to bloom yet. Its chordscheme is also very representative of mideastern music. This is a short theme establishment which gets overtaken by the strings, that take over the same chords.
The already-chilled-out strings get even tamer by only having a guitar and piano C section that somehow instantly builds back up when the strings come in for the D section.
The flute is back! And without a falssetto! The flute feels in control and gives us a beautiful solo that is accompanied by the rest of the gang. It's a slow ballad with, quite sudden, fast strokes that livens up the piece and gives it life.
The Bloom Bloom you all need but didn't realize until it was too late.....
She’s legit a goddess and have the best dance moves not going to lie. She seems so calm and have confidence in herself which is the amazing part. Amazing demos just like the other genshin characters!

honestly i love this demo so much, the music, the presentation, the character. nilou has such a refreshing personality compared to a lot of the recent characters an i feel like her personality is very relatable. i also grew to love her design and aesthetic. her aura is soothing and accepting, and she encourages people to follow their hearts. i think that message is very well needed at least for me.
her posture during her attack animations is so fluid, elegant, and effortless. almost calming in a way

The song motifs that resemble the "dance of sabzeruz" ost are one of my favorite part about her theme song and i was really hoping they would include it in her demo.
