Ragtime Opening Number Carnegie Hall Tribute to Stephen Flaherty | UC College-Conservatory of Music

  • UC College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) united Broadway stars and current students in a one-night-only performance to honor Tony Award-winning composer Stephen Flaherty at Carnegie Hall on New York on Jan. 14, 2024.
    Marcia Milgrom Dodge directed the original production at CCM, returned as the director/choreographer for the Carnegie Hall event. Also reprising their roles for the Carnegie Hall performance are CCM alums and Broadway veterans: Christy Altomare (BFA Musical Theatre, ’08), Ashley Brown (BFA Musical Theatre, ’04), Jason Graae (BFA Musical Theatre, ’80), Aaron Lazar (MFA Musical Theatre, ’00), Bryonha Marie (Broadway guest artist), Geoff Packard (BFA Musical Theatre, '04), Stephanie Jae Park (BFA Musical Theatre, '14) and Alton Fitzgerald White (Musical Theatre, att. 1983-86).

    Jason has made numerous TV & film appearances including Friends, Frasier, Disney's Home on the Range & The Dukes of Hazard in Hollywood. For 5 years he was the voice of "Lucky, the Leprechaun" for Lucky Charms cereal, a balanced part of your breakfast.

    That’s was very good. My only comment would be to tone down the unnecessary choreography during the crescendo at the end. The song had a powerful finale, with amazing overlapping harmonies. Let the song and voices stand in their own.
