    Nice! I think actually getting this campaign. Did the Russians actually participate in Red Flag Campaigns?

    • @fleetfoot7314
      @fleetfoot7314  5 лет назад +1

      I have found a lot of material that claimed that Russia did participate in a way, however not with any aircraft. In the briefing pdf that is unclassified for example, you can find a PowerPoint map that reads "The World comes to Nellis" and Russia is marked as one of the countries. Another source claimed that Russia has actually sold Soviet equipment to the US for training and other sources claimed that Russia actually participated back in 1995 and 97.
      Regardless of what is true, in this Campaign, they do c:

      @@Blind_Hawk So I did some more research. I didn't find any evidence of Russian aircraft participating, but Russian ground units did. I also recalled the briefing on the Su-30MKI that once participated. The American instructor told a lot of lies there. While he was always talking about the F-22 being better, this is actually probably true. But he lied about the rate of turn. He claimed, that the Su-30MKI can only do 23 Degrees per second, whilst the F-22 can do 28. This is both completely biased, as the Su-30MKI can do 32 Degrees per second whilst the F-22 can only do 25. The instructor also told the pilots, that the Su-30MKI didn't score a single hit with the simulated R-77. After further research, I found American and Indian documents proving that the R-77 was never simulated. In addition to that, the Instructor also said that the Su-30 would "fall out of the sky" when it goes post-stall and an F-15 could easily "drill it's brains out" after that. That too, was a lie. The Su-30MKI is an aircraft with a thrust-to-weight ratio that allows it to defy gravity using it's thrust. Meaning it can stand still. There is no way the Su-30 could fall out of the sky when the pilot doesn't have his thrust cut-off. The F-15 could never, never ever keep up with a Su-30s turn rate or climb rate. Even though the F-15C has a higher top speed on high altitude, the engines of the Su-30 are superior at acceleration.
      In BVR, that's a whole different story that, without the R-77 would probably favor the Americans.
