William Afton is a great villain. This song does a great job showing that the animatronics might look like monsters, but the real monster is the one behind the slaughter. And in the end, he got killed inside of his own creation, however he was still alive when he was stuffed.

One of the best parts of this song is how beautifully its actually molded to the lore of the games. At first being a mother going through grief can now be connected to Henry, considering the child is likely his daughter Charlie. However, since it references a male, it could also connect to Golden Freddy/the Crying Child and the parent would be William (the Man Behind the Slaughter) projecting his own deeds and decisions onto almost a different persona he takes when hes killing or he developed from his sons death to cope with the mechanisms he chose to put in the Fredbear suits mouth.

Feels like, now with a male singer, a sequel to the original - the mother, seemingly the one who was there when it happened, has gone so far mad in anger, guilt and sadness that she can’t sing her song anymore, that the father is the last standing. This means giving a slight change to the meaning to “so I can ponder the sanity of your mother”, now a more literal third person perspective.

AP, you keep out-doing yourself! This is a wonderful update to the classic song. This has just as much emotion as the original while absolutely KILLING it in the visuals department. The original song to me has the feeling of being back in 2014 and really invested in the story the series was trying to tell. Admit it, this song caught us by surprise back then because we just came off of the 1st one. We were given more story, the tale of a sadistic man with no name who took these poor children's lives away with no motive, employed at the chain which made it too easy for him to commit the heinous crimes. The song made it even sadder in reminding us that yes, the families of those lost children were devastated and destroyed by the disappearances. No closure whatsoever. Purple was evil! Remix makes me feel longing for the earlier days, when everything was so simple and the lore wasn't too complex yet. The story felt meaningful and sad behind the fun gameplay. No disrespect to security breach, but I feel like not only has the topic of child murder taken a backseat in the most recent game but they've kinda turned it into a joke. That's why I love the earlier times because Scott didn't cover the truth of the story in bright colors and adorable bear father figure, it was clearly exposed that under the robot smiles things at Freddy's were not safe for children. Security breach kinda did away with that and commenced the exact opposite: remove(almost)all mentions of the topic and make the Plex pop with color. SB is still fun but steel wool should've given the game more serious aspects. But because the games have such a large child audience and the merchandise sells like crazy, SB felt way more marketed to the kids of the fan base than the ones who were there from the start. The original sounded sorrowful and full of regret for not keeping an eye on a child who the mother tried desperately every waking moment to protect. This remix is excellent, makes me feel like the typical Old man, telling a bunch of youngsters from across the street how simple everything used to be. Telling the new fans of the series spawned from security breach the story of that crazy corpse bunny that came out of the charging station, how much more threatening and evil he was a long time ago. He didn't even have a name. All we knew him as was "Purple guy" and the rotten deeds committed were not taken lightly. He got what he deserved and was treated as a monster, as a looming threat who REFUSES to redeem himself. Turned sadly into "Peepaw" The children who died were once a big subject but no more. Reduced to big mound of weaponized nostalgia known as the blob. Well I couldn't stop myself from typing a heckin' long comment. Whoever read my ramblings is awesome and I hope you have a great day! When I was in Sixth Grade, a bully in my technology class played the FNAF 1 Game. It traumatized me for a while, but then I started watching FNAF videos on RUclips, and I ended up loving the series. I love this song so much. When the games were still fairly new, I believed the mother became the puppet. Se que no coincide porque dice "son" y no "daughter" que significa hija
Sin embargo es interesante verlo de esa manera , del padre de una de las niñas posiblemente Susie (el alma de chica) esto para mí la hace algo más triste debido a que de Susie sabemos más y su historia hace que mi interpretación haga que escuche está canción aún más triste , claro que aveces me lo imagino diciendo "my girl" en vez de my son pero de todas formas esto sigue siendo nostálgico y épico:,)

It works especially well rhyming “daughter” with “slaughter”

This is a wonderful update to the classic song. This has just as much emotion as the original while absolutely KILLING it in the visuals department.
The original song to me has the feeling of being back in 2014 and really invested in the story the series was trying to tell. Admit it, this song caught us by surprise back then because we just came off of the 1st one. We were given more story, the tale of a sadistic man with no name who took these poor children's lives away with no motive, employed at the chain which made it too easy for him to commit the heinous crimes. The song made it even sadder in reminding us that yes, the families of those lost children were devastated and destroyed by the disappearances. No closure whatsoever. Purple was evil!
Remix makes me feel longing for the earlier days, when everything was so simple and the lore wasn't too complex yet. The story felt meaningful and sad behind the fun gameplay. No disrespect to security breach, but I feel like not only has the topic of child murder taken a backseat in the most recent game but they've kinda turned it into a joke.
That's why I love the earlier times because Scott didn't cover the truth of the story in bright colors and adorable bear father figure, it was clearly exposed that under the robot smiles things at Freddy's were not safe for children.
Security breach kinda did away with that and commenced the exact opposite: remove(almost)all mentions of the topic and make the Plex pop with color.
SB is still fun but steel wool should've given the game more serious aspects.
But because the games have such a large child audience and the merchandise sells like crazy, SB felt way more marketed to the kids of the fan base than the ones who were there from the start.
The original sounded sorrowful and full of regret for not keeping an eye on a child who the mother tried desperately every waking moment to protect.
This remix is excellent, makes me feel like the typical Old man, telling a bunch of youngsters from across the street how simple everything used to be. Telling the new fans of the series spawned from security breach the story of that crazy corpse bunny that came out of the charging station, how much more threatening and evil he was a long time ago.
He didn't even have a name. All we knew him as was "Purple guy" and the rotten deeds committed were not taken lightly. He got what he deserved and was treated as a monster, as a looming threat who REFUSES to redeem himself.
Turned sadly into "Peepaw"
The children who died were once a big subject but no more. Reduced to big mound of weaponized nostalgia known as the blob.

I love this song so much. When the games were still fairly new, I believed the mother became the puppet. Now that I listen later on after looking at all the lore and playing through the games, it makes sense that any parent would say they’ve become a puppet entangled in the strings of Fazbear Entertainment.
