All Argentinians should be very proud for this Man. There are so many Highlights in his career given with so much love for the game of Basketball...Manu was the ultimate winner!!! Pop said it all at the end of the Video!!!
We are very proud of him. He has been a super professional that follows his dreams. Here in Argentina, basket is not the most popular sport and they do not earn too much money. Best players leave to play in Europe and then NBA
Words are not enough for what he did for the game in every aspect..NBA..Argentina..Europe..one of the most complete players ever...a real role model for the younger generations..defence.. offence..passing..teamplay.. passion.. character.. leadership.. guts..vision..clutch..devotion..EVERYTHING!!! THANK YOU MANU..from Athens,Greece.
57th pick in the draft selection, Never switched nba teams, never gave bullshit didn't talk crap, probably all nba players who played him or even just watched him respects him. No words I know can explain how amazing, cool, bad ass this legendary player has become, I didn't watch him all though out his career(Not even born when he was drafted) But the period of time I watched him convinced me how amazing this guy is, and even I don't know when I became a fan. Manu is a legend so is the spurs, your presence in the court will be missed and I hope he sticks around the spurs in a lot of ways
The man had 4 rings, dunked on Yao Ming, hit game winners, had game winning block, postering guys taller than him, and passed the ball like a point god. 🐐
Thank you Colin. Someday, when I have kids, and they ask why Manu was so great, I’m pullin up this video. Then I’m gonna yell “GINOBILIIIII” for the rest of the day
My favorite player of all time. His game embodied not only how good basketball should be played, but also how humans should live: sacrifice, teamwork, humility, passion. GINOBILI!!!!!!!
The entire translation of the Head Coach "Che" Garcia de Boca Juniors (one of the most important teams) "Who can defend Ginobili? Me!! Me!! No, you can't. Why? You can't stop it. I'm going (The other player) Do you dare? Okay. Ginobili at that time was 17 or 18 years old playing the Argentine league.
Best sixth man in history. Sorry Jamal Crawford move aside. Manu has that same fiery will that Jordan and Kobe have. That killer instinct that makes him so clutch late in games. A force to be reckoned with even at 40 years old. His basketball IQ and tenacity are off the charts! On of the best passers I have ever seen as well. Such a complete package as a basketball player and as far as I can tell a great person off the court as well. Thank you for being who you are Ginob.. give us at the very least one more year of magic!
Manu is a one of a kind basketball player. He was and will always be remembered as a team player. He could have scored 30+ every game but he chose to put the team first and that made him an even better player than he already is. A real champ.
You are definitely right about being a team player. No telling how much he could have scored. The only person that could stop him was himself. That didn't happen often, either.
I cannot believe in a football-loving country, a legend was born of one of the most important sports in the world and as professional as the best basketball in the USA and the world. Watching the videos he created that in Argentina and the US the dimension of this professional and competitive player, we may not really have what his achievements mean, he created without knowing basketball that he is the best depotist in Argentine history with Juan Fangio (F1) and Messi or Maradona. The Americans are the geniuses of this sport and can qualify us with knowledge of what Manu Ginobili means as if we describe soccer.
When I think of Ginobili I think of Jordan and Kobe even though Ginobili came off the bench. I remembered watching him in 02 and thought" Wow this guy is bad. Just like Jordan and Kobe he made some of the most ridiculous shots. Making crazy shots is something a lot of players do but to do it numerous times is crazy. It really gets unnoticed because he made it look so easy. Ginobili was no holds barred. He drove to the basket with passion, anger, hunger, desire, determination. When he made that face driving to the basket nobody was gon stop him. Have a nice rest of your life Ginobili. Thanks for memories.2002-2018. Hall of famer for sure
Amazing video. For Basket lovers it is difficult not to tear when you see it. Ginobili gave all for the colors he defended. Do not compare it with other great basketball players. He is unique. Just enjoy what this monster did in this sport. And Thanks Manu Ginobili while my mom was very sick and I had a bad time you gave me the joy of beating the great USA team in 2004. I never forgot that.
Well kids, this is a TRUE winner. No need to boast how good he is, no need to make $200 shoes... This guy has a simple mentality, but an outsanding one to be honest. Honor, respect, loyalty and being unselfish make him a great baskteball player, but also an amazing human being
The prime years of Spurs basketball ( and there was long strech of those prime years ) is a proof that no matter how good of a cook you are ( pop ) you still need top notch ingridents ( Tony,Tim and Manu ) to make the perfect meal. It started with Duncan,he set the tone and those two were the perfect basketball and personality match. I doubt it will ever be repeated that 3 guys can win so much and be so close on and off the court for such a long period of time. I would be confident going into a playoff battle against any big 3 that ever played in the league with this trio. For those who follow international basketball will know that when Tony or Manu were asked to be the primary scorer, leader etc. they delivered huge from France and Argentina. Those two guys were superstars, specialy Manu since he was also such a great playmaker. But they sacrifaced their own personal stats in order for the team to run like a well oiled machine. You were going against 3 guys who just knew each other so damn well on the court and trully played not like a big 3 but like a unite.
Top 3 Sg of the 2000s, championships, skills, Iq, defense,... he has them all. He created a whole new play-style which inspired the new generation. Guys are doing step-backs, euro-steps now because of this man right here
the parts with dan patrick commentary and manu himself explaining his experiences with basketball in spanish...talk about emotion. i feel honored to have been a fan of this team. this core group of Tim, Tony, and Manu, there are no words to describe what they mean to me as someone who loves sports and appreciates everything they did. they taught me how to be a man
Been waiting 2 years for another video to come out, can’t say I’m disappointed one bit. There isn’t anything else that gives me the feels about basketball like this.
So glad this has been made especially after the ‘Beautiful Game’ videos and how good they were. I never grew up with the NBA, but since I got into basketball Manu has become my favourite player, he just embodies passion, flair and class. Sad that the end is nigh for but I hope he gets properly recognised as the legend he is.
Wow i knew this day was coming but didnt think it would hurt this much gonna miss Manu on that court. Thanks for the great memories. There will never be another player like Manu. Much love for MANU.
The greatest ginobili tribute ever, I could watch this 1000 times. LOVE his heart and fire, LOVE the person he has become and example he his to others. My SON LOVES GINOBILI, very easy to see why!
For years, I have thought of Ginobili as the real ''White Mamba''! He is really similar (at least to me) to Kobe Bryant without Kobe's ego (I am a fan of Kobe by the way). As far as I know Ginobili is the most loved player by the Spurs, not Duncan, not Robinson, not the Iceman...and from your video, Mr. Stanton, it is easy to see why.
Batyr Erimbetov if I recall correctly, in Kobe's "Doin' Work" documentary where they were playing the Spurs, Manu was on the bench in street clothes as he was injured and Kobe narrated "that's a bad man right there." Kobe doesn't hand out that kind of compliment to just anybody, you knew he respected Manu and their similar competitive fire.
Watching this the day he says goodbye is just heartbreaking. A moment of silence for today Basketball lost one of his fierces and more respected competitor in the history of the sport maybe 🇦🇷👑🏀
You literally captured the essence, the beauty, and the passion of Manu Ginobili's game. He is, without s doubt, one the most talented basketball players to ever step foot on the court. He brought his own style of play to the NBA. From no look passes, crazy finishes at the rim, behind the back fakes, buzzer beaters, clutch shooting, highflying dunks, and the list goes on. A fun player to watch and by far, my favorite player of all time. He held back and restrained him self while playing fir the San Antonio Spurs but I'm sure when he retires, he won't have any regrets about being the greatest 6th man to ever play the game, that could have easily been a starting player in any other team. #UnoMasManu
Another gem among basketball tributes - magnificent job. While I might have other players rating higher on my all-time list, there was no one more exciting and fun to watch. Many greetings to Manu and all Spurs and Argentina fans from Belgrade!
I'm a Serb and I'm not even mad about that last second shot. Manu and Argentinian team deserved it fully. Said it before - maybe not the best, but definetely most exciting player I've ever watched, Maradona of basketball. All the best Manu, I hope You have a long and happy retirement.
Goose bump and tears breaking down~!!! Thanks for this great video~!! And more importantly~!! Thanks Manu for being such a wonderful bball player / Competitor !!!
I don't care what other people say, this is the best Basketball channel in RUclips. The compilation of the high-quality videos and music is top notch. It's a shame that he doesn't post that often, but when he does, he doesn't disappoint.
I love him like a brother. My favourite player of all time and arguably in the top 10 of people that I admire the most. It will break my heart to see him retire. Hopefully he'll give us another year... it would be a great gift.
You have to have talent to win in Europe,Olympics and multiple rings in the NBA but not many players have talent but also the five most important traits in basketball in my opinion defensive toughness, leadership,Savy ball handling and passing,Fundamental scoring and shooting and of course being clutch in the biggest games. Not to mention the best teammate and class act you can find. If he was American he would have a statute in San Antonio already.
I watch this video when I’ve played and I’m exhausted. After I watch the video I gain a sense of nobility and sacrifice and I push for more hours beyond what I’m capable. Thank you Manu for showing the world how beautiful basketball is!
I got to talk to him once. He didn't need to linger on but he did and he was really humble and nice. I feel so lucky to have met the genius. Internationally speaking the GOAT no doubt. Grande Manu!!!! Please come back for one more year.
Every year, people say that Manu will retire. But everyday, I just cannot wait watching his game. Maybe in the future, I'll replay every game every second of Manu. He opened an era for international player.
Lpm !!! Un crack, por el año 2002 con el mundial de indianapolis comencé a deslumbrarme, ayer martes vi tu partido como el primero la misma emoción y expectativa, ojalá no sea el último!!!
Thanks for the video. It's so emotional. We here in Argentina are all proud of what this guy has achieved, all the respect and recognition he gained. The player retired, the legend was born.
What a legend. Not only on the court but also here in the San Antonio community. It would be amazing to see him return to the Spurs as part of the staff. I know it's a long shot but imagine Duncan takes over when Pop retires and Ginobili is Duncans right hand man. Would be fierce!
Man the editing of this video is so unreal. The combination of the music , highlight reel , commentary are perfectly combined altogether. I miss manu so bad 😭
Came here to cry, youre just amazing manu, so proud of you beeing an argentinian. And Im so sad you career is over, but i has been truly a dreamed journey. HOF.
I'm from Bologna, Italy. Here there are 2 basketball teams: Virtus and Fortitudo. Back in 2000, they were both amongst the best team in Europe and both considered Ginobili, who was playing for a 8th seed team (Reggio Calabria), a good replacement for Andrea Meneghin. Fortitudo acquired Meneghin and Virtus "settled for" Ginobili. One year later, Virtus won italian cup, italian championship and european championship against my beloved Fortitudo. He is by far the strongest player I've ever seen in Italy and the only one I'm not able to hate.
All Argentinians should be very proud for this Man. There are so many Highlights in his career given with so much love for the game of Basketball...Manu was the ultimate winner!!! Pop said it all at the end of the Video!!!

Nice and true words, of course, not the only words. 😉 From Bahía Blanca, Argentina.

King GodFlow you forgot a gold medal, and beating a Dream Team...twice.
Dunk on lebron is d'best
Yes! His passes were amazing!
Also blocked he's hardens step back on the year of retirement
and one bat
I always regretted Manu tributes being in bad quality or that everyone missed something, this one is as close as it gets to perfection, thank you.
Thank you Colin. Someday, when I have kids, and they ask why Manu was so great, I’m pullin up this video. Then I’m gonna yell “GINOBILIIIII” for the rest of the day
Thank you. - Colin
crying after your statement.
so touching.
What’s the first song name?
That's how i define it , manu's an "animal competitive".
My favorite player of all time. His game embodied not only how good basketball should be played, but also how humans should live: sacrifice, teamwork, humility, passion. GINOBILI!!!!!!!
the savagery of the coach at 1:05 I need a coach like that in my life.
They lost anyway lol
😭😭😭😭
@M lol
same coach in red... minuto 1:25

Mariano Costa es una pena la generacion perdida de brasil, barbosa, anderson, guillerme, nene, etc. Nunca jugaron como un verdadero equipo
Gracias MARIANO yo me saco el sombrero ante ti mi hermano

In terms of Tenacity and IQ he's one of the greatest. For me he's the Tal of basketball. I enjoy watching his unpredictable plays.
My expiration date is at 40. And he is 41! God gives us Manu 1 year more
A great player, a greater human being. Smart, but humble... So remarkable.
Manu Ginobili has to be the greatest basketball player in history.
El mejor deportista de la historia en Argentina. Y un privilegio verlo seguir siendo protagonista en este nivel.
It gets me emotional watching this video. From any perspective, attitude or performance, Manu is definitely a future Hall of Famer. Great Video!
I’m actually emotional.
How can you not love this man! Even if you r a laker fan , give respect where it is warranted
This makes a grown up man cry! Goosebumps in me. My goodness! I’m gonna miss him play in court! #graciasmanu

A true legend a true spurs hero
My first reaction to Manu was "boy am I happy he is on our team". He has done the Spurs and city of San Antonio proud,
It's the first time that I see his speech and it's the truth of basketball and life.
He is someone that really understands the "secret" of basketball.

Special player but don't get crazy. No GM is taking Ginobli over Bryant when they were both in their prime
That's basically how GMs get finessed, just look at what happened to Dallas with Luka
WOW nothing like a good cry! He will be missed.
I didn't care when jordan retired, nor kobe, or anyone else. this guy right here i have so much respect for!
Watching this the day he says goodbye is just heartbreaking. A moment of silence for today Basketball lost one of his fierces and more respected competitor in the history of the sport maybe 🇦🇷👑🏀
Was having a good day,now I'm in tears,but its a better day
AWESOME. Ginobiliiiiii
I just love to watch this guy playing all day long
His passion, grit, intelligence, creativity and skill is unmatched besides Lebron, Bird, Magic, CP3 and maybe a couple others
The pass at 4:38 is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!
The one at 4:40 was even better. Between the freaking legs of a moving defender wtfff

When San Antonio drafted Manu years ago I went and bought his jersey. Still have that jersey to this very day. I love Manu

His loyalty should be appreciated too
So many memories 😭 thank you! Love u Manu! Thank u for your passion, your class, your talent. My favourite all time basketball player.

Best tribute I've ever seen.
The musical score is equally incredible!

This is the best manu basketball video I come back to it all the time. Such a great edit
Thanks for the video. It's so emotional. We here in Argentina are all proud of what this guy has achieved, all the respect and recognition he gained. The player retired, the legend was born.
WE NEED MORE VIDEOS!
One of the most influential players the NBA has ever had. Love this guy. Love this video. Thank you!!
WOW, this is the best tribute video ever made, good quality and edition!
After all with Manu's career you have a lot of good material to work with.
This is d heart of a champion n a superstar! His name is Ginobli NOT Kawhi. Lovely tribute, thank you!
A perfect athlete ❤️
Came here to cry, youre just amazing manu, so proud of you beeing an argentinian. And Im so sad you career is over, but i has been truly a dreamed journey. HOF.
