I'm so grateful that you provide content about Graves' Disease. I guess I won the thyroid jackpot and have both Hashimoto's and Graves. I was diagnosed with Hashi's 14 years ago and learned so much about the disease and how to manage it. However, I was diagnosed with Graves less than a year ago and I'm finding that information regarding this disease isn't as readily available. I find Graves to me much more frightening (even though at times being hypo made me quite ill). I've experienced a range of symptoms over 2 years that I hope to never experience again now that I have a diagnosis and have started treatment. I was afraid to take medication but after learning from your videos I realized that not taking action might be a greater risk. I started taking a low dose while following the thyroid rest as closely as I could manage. It did not take long for my TSH, free T3, and free T4 to improve. Now they are trending toward hypo, but I am being weaned off of my medication. Thank you so much for what you do. I cannot tell you how much the information has meant to me at times that I was confused and scared about my duel diagnosis.

You're welcome. I'm so happy to hear that you chose to get treatment. FYI Graves + Hashi is not that unusual.

What is the thyroid reset diet? So those with hasimoto should not take iodine?

The Thyroid Reset Diet book contains a diet based on clinical trials showing that Hashimoto's can often be reversed by closely regulating iodine. You can find it wherever books are sold. It explains why extra iodine is harmful for those with Hashimotos.
