I took Subs in my early 20s in melbourne, I spent weeks asking online and friends where I can find them, I was very worried about eating the wrong ones, I eventually found a spot along the yarra river underneath some pinetree with woodchip below, it was around may time, I was told I would find them in this area but I couldn't find any for days, but I keep going as I was told they will be there, one day I was looking and a stranger tapped me on the back and said "alot of hunters out today" I was like oh yeah I can't find any, he then spent the next hour or so showing me and teaching me what to do and what not to do and how to find them, we didn't end up finding any but I had new confidents that I will eveually find some, we went back to his car and he showed me a haul he had and gave me a few, he gave me a hug and he went on his way, I never seen him again, fast foward a couple of days after some rain and hot days I started to find them and I would continue to find them many days after and would dehydrate them at home and put in a glass jar and when I would look for them I would show others how to find them, I once run into a couple that was looking for them and I gave them a few I had found, they were very happy about it, I then ran into them again a few days later and they had told me they took them and went and seen alice in wonder land through the looking glass, they said it was amazing I gave them a hug and they went on there way, I would continue to do this helping others find them but I had not at the point done them yet, I then decided I would do them and then go for a walk along the yarra river, I found a spot on the opposite side of where everyone would walk or ride along the river, I sat down next to a man made waterfall and felt it slowly come on, wavy vision, very vibrant colours and when I would focus on something it would start to become geometric and everything in an odd way seemed to be connected it was a beauiful experience, there was a cliff face behind me and I wanted to climb it, so I started to and I got to the top I did this over and over again, it felt so good to climb, almost like I was a monkey, I sat back down near the waterfall and it felt like I could make the waterfall all around me, I was one with the water fall in a sense, the melbourne weather had changed and the sun was slowly going down and the clouds were coming over I started to walk home and this sense of darkness came over me and I had thought about my childhood and my realtionship with my mum, I have struggled with her and her addiction with alcohol my entire life, at this point I had not spoke to her in months as it was my attempt of having she would get help if I would not talk to her until she did, I became very emotional and the clouds were getting darker and I was by myself in the middle of a bush, my phone rang and I looked at it and it was my mum, I freaked out and thought I will just let it ring out but this thing came over me and I answered it and everything I have wanted to say came out, I was in tears and it felt like demons were removed from me and it felt so good, all this weight from years had been removed and I felt on was on the right path to make a better me, I will never forget this and changhed me so much permantely, I became more kind, less angry and accepting its ok to love people and for them to love you back.

Best to try a little wait to see how you feel, then a little more. Easy to take more but if you overdo it you are going places you may not be ready to go... The best bet for a slightly more accurate dose is to dry and grind in to a powder then weigh and mix with food, drink or into gel caps. If eatign raw like I said depends on size for starters but go slow.

The photos at 8:16 is a different species. Photo showed an annulus with a rust color spore print. 8:44 is also iffy, looks like different gill colour. The spores, being very dark purple/brown usually make the gills look darker
i found subaeruginosa in new zealand and a friend and i ate 1 dry gram each. Amazing experience full of giggling, colours and self reflection. The best part was the come down, we sat and watched lord of the rings and just felt such a calm and at ease sensation. at least a couple times a year !
That calm and positive reflective sensations lasts a few days to a week if you haven’t noticed! I have come across a lot of people that actually micro dose in order to treat their depression and anxiety issues very successfully and long term..

How to tell? Gallerina have orangish stem with a ring or broken veil and much oranger colour overall. Subs have white fibrous stem that bruises blue and are more golden brown on top.

My first experience with shrooms was in the mid 80's in a pine forest near Canberra. We found small gold tops about the size of a 5 cent piece and blue moonies about the same size but had a longer thin stem. The next time was In the late 80's in Central Queensland coastal area where goldtops were growing in cow paddocks out of cow manure, some the size of a dinner plate 9-10 inches across the top.

I'm a 60 year old from South Australia first tried gold tops in 1981. P.Subs like very crispy cold damp weather and grow at certain altitudes from my experience. Mid June-July ( our winter). Being old school I hear the younger ones talk about grams etc but we would either dose by the number of them 3 for a mild trip 6-8 for a total mind bender. On one occasion we made a brew of 30 shrooms between 6 of us and that was the strongest I'd ever experienced. I use to prefer to have the baby one's caps as you could swallow them without the fungi taste. It is very important to have someone who is knowledgeable when foraging for toadstools as some are extremely poisonous and have the potential to send you on a permanent vacation. When in doubt chuck 'em out. There is a lot of fluff on the Internet regarding the benefits of psychedelics but just remember too much brain stimulation can lead to psychosis for some people. Be smart and wise which is usually not associated with youth.
Psilocybin containing mushroom saved my life. They drastically reduced my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quite illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had become medically dangerous to quit. It has also helped me survive depression.
I live in the northern rivers NSW, right under the QLD border. We get lots of cubensis, golden teacher and blue meanies but I never thought to look for shrooms where there are no cowpads. I have probably seen it a bunch of times but considered it a weed mushroom. I'll keep a lookout!

Do you know of any mushrooms that have a black/greyish cap and a thick white/blueish stem? Someone gave me a couple of them and they’re ridiculously strong. Last time I had one was at least 4 months ago and that one was tiny but I’ve been feeling/seeing effects from that one up until just very recently the effects have been fading away and life is sorta returning to normal. He simply called them "black and blue" mushrooms and told me they were strong but I didn’t expect the 2 I had to last me 4months. And I cant find anything on them on the internet. No photos or anything. Ever heard of this? I’m fairly new to the shroom life
you can't "always take more" btw. Wahtever the dose you take first is the dose you will get. Taking more doesn't work for about 1-2 weeks after a single dose. So you should choose your dose of 1gram dried or 1.2-1.5 grams dried is good place to start. Dopamine etc needs time to be replenished. This applies even if you take more an hour later it won't work the same as the first time. But good on you for making the effort to talk about an important subject. I think these musshrooms are a key to our evolution
I'm from Melbourne and most of my mushroom experiences have been on these. I always found the intensity to vary and found them hard to dose. Sometimes you take two and you're in outer space, other times you can eat 8 and its cruisey haha alwasy a good time though.
I picked some in balinup years ago they turn blue once you pick them . But i had some sort of allergic reaction because the next day i had a really had rash around my eyes the next morning

Wow some of these look very familiar, I had mushies growing at the base area of a tree that was removed , I didn’t know what they where and run them over with a mower cutting the grass , well they just kept growing even more lol , dam if only I had know then . can confirm, i live in Melbourne and i know a lot of people that go picking that have networks of people that cross check with just to be completely sure, even if they're pros to get a 2nd opinion. Very cool to know our shrooms are among the most potent and they grow can randomly start growing in your backyard. If you know they're the good ones, give them a flick before u pick them to drop the spores to get more next season!

I have Subs and they are by far the fastest and most aggressive growing of the wood loving Psilocybes I grow of which I have 5 🙂 Of the 5 one is P. Cyanenescens and is the slowest grower I have. Peace!

For proper fruiting, they need hardwood chips or mulch (they love Alder, Oak and Maple best and preferably wood that is cut down in the Spring or late Fall as this is when the sap and sugars are the highest in the trees) The wood lovers grow best in cooler temps (around 65 -- 75 ° F for Spawn runs) and fruit when the ground temps stay around 50 to 45 ° and the rains stay until frost and they'll even fruit then until it freezes hard. I have protected outside beds covered with shade cloth and all 5 strains I have were taken from wild prints. I'm in Southeast Michigan zone 6b and mine will be fruiting soon as our nights have been getting into the the low 40s with daytime highs in the low 60s. When the ground stays at 50 an under it will trigger them. Only thing is this year is off like everything else as it's supposed to be very wet and rainy here but has been very dry and no rain going on two weeks now so have been watering everyone. On a positive note tho, the dryness is making for an excellent Cannabis harvest this go around as usually I'm battling molds and mildew 🙂

Been doing them for 2/3 years now most I did was 8gs with lemon wowy almost had to end the trip with Valium’s and my stomach was hurting bad that was the most bad but / but held on for the ride smoked a little cone then fell asleep for 5-10 mins lol woke up having to go to the toilet really bad !! Like laxatives then after that I felt amazing !!! 10/10 dopamine and seratonin ! Does any one have any have a way to make tea out of it ? So stops the gut upsets almost each time I do 3.5 and upwards I get upset stomach. I’ve taken mdma with it and that has stopped the stomach !
I didn't let one of my mycelium tubs go to max growth before I induced pinning. I've got pins tho, but will I need to be meticulous in the sterility area still, is this going to be susceptible to contamination still or? My first experience with shrooms was in the mid 80's in a pine forest near Canberra. We found small gold tops about the size of a 5 cent piece and blue moonies about the same size but had a longer thin stem. The next time was In the late 80's in Central Queensland coastal area where goldtops were growing in cow paddocks out of cow manure, some the size of a dinner plate 9-10 inches across the top.

Have always found the "landing" one of the nice bits of the experience, including the possible tearful purging which may be bought on by witness of an animal which has been killed on a busy road, all touchy feelie and heartfully sentimental, no matter what species, because EVERYTHING matters. I'm a 60 year old from South Australia first tried gold tops in 1981. P.Subs like very crispy cold damp weather and grow at certain altitudes from my experience. Mid June-July ( our winter). Being old school I hear the younger ones talk about grams etc but we would either dose by the number of them 3 for a mild trip 6-8 for a total mind bender. On one occasion we made a brew of 30 shrooms between 6 of us and that was the strongest I'd ever experienced. I use to prefer to have the baby one's caps as you could swallow them without the fungi taste. It is very important to have someone who is knowledgeable when foraging for toadstools as some are extremely poisonous and have the potential to send you on a permanent vacation. When in doubt chuck 'em out. There is a lot of fluff on the Internet regarding the benefits of psychedelics but just remember too much brain stimulation can lead to psychosis for some people. Be smart and wise which is usually not associated with youth.
Psilocybin containing mushroom saved my life. They drastically reduced my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quite illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had become medically dangerous to quit. It has also helped me survive depression.

I live in the northern rivers NSW, right under the QLD border. We get lots of cubensis, golden teacher and blue meanies but I never thought to look for shrooms where there are no cowpads. I have probably seen it a bunch of times but considered it a weed mushroom. I'll keep a lookout!

managed to find a patch 7 ounce wet, only ever found tazzies so i took 4g dry of the subs to be conservative and to test for the mates before i shared em out as they were new to shrooms. Safe to say i was fucked. Best trip ever tho.

Do you know of any mushrooms that have a black/greyish cap and a thick white/blueish stem? Someone gave me a couple of them and they’re ridiculously strong. Last time I had one was at least 4 months ago and that one was tiny but I’ve been feeling/seeing effects from that one up until just very recently the effects have been fading away and life is sorta returning to normal. He simply called them "black and blue" mushrooms and told me they were strong but I didn’t expect the 2 I had to last me 4months. And I cant find anything on them on the internet. No photos or anything. Ever heard of this? I’m fairly new to the shroom life

you can't "always take more" btw. Wahtever the dose you take first is the dose you will get. Taking more doesn't work for about 1-2 weeks after a single dose.
So you should choose your dose of 1gram dried or 1.2-1.5 grams dried is good place to start. Dopamine etc needs time to be replenished. This applies even if you take more an hour later it won't work the same as the first time. But good on you for making the effort to talk about an important subject. I think these musshrooms are a key to our evolution

I'm from Melbourne and most of my mushroom experiences have been on these. I always found the intensity to vary and found them hard to dose. Sometimes you take two and you're in outer space, other times you can eat 8 and its cruisey haha alwasy a good time though.
What's best is to dry your picked batch and grind them up all together and mix for a more homogeneous dose 🙂

I picked some in balinup years ago they turn blue once you pick them . But i had some sort of allergic reaction because the next day i had a really had rash around my eyes the next morning

Wow some of these look very familiar, I had mushies growing at the base area of a tree that was removed , I didn’t know what they where and run them over with a mower cutting the grass , well they just kept growing even more lol , dam if only I had know then . I might go back see if any are still growing since now I have moved .

can confirm, i live in Melbourne and i know a lot of people that go picking that have networks of people that cross check with just to be completely sure, even if they're pros to get a 2nd opinion. Very cool to know our shrooms are among the most potent and they grow can randomly start growing in your backyard. If you know they're the good ones, give them a flick before u pick them to drop the spores to get more next season!

I have Subs and they are by far the fastest and most aggressive growing of the wood loving Psilocybes I grow of which I have 5 🙂 Of the 5 one is P. Cyanenescens and is the slowest grower I have. Peace!

For proper fruiting, they need hardwood chips or mulch (they love Alder, Oak and Maple best and preferably wood that is cut down in the Spring or late Fall as this is when the sap and sugars are the highest in the trees) The wood lovers grow best in cooler temps (around 65 -- 75 ° F for Spawn runs) and fruit when the ground temps stay around 50 to 45 ° and the rains stay until frost and they'll even fruit then until it freezes hard. I have protected outside beds covered with shade cloth and all 5 strains I have were taken from wild prints. I'm in Southeast Michigan zone 6b and mine will be fruiting soon as our nights have been getting into the the low 40s with daytime highs in the low 60s. When the ground stays at 50 an under it will trigger them. Only thing is this year is off like everything else as it's supposed to be very wet and rainy here but has been very dry and no rain going on two weeks now so have been watering everyone. On a positive note tho, the dryness is making for an excellent Cannabis harvest this go around as usually I'm battling molds and mildew 🙂

Been doing them for 2/3 years now most I did was 8gs with lemon wowy almost had to end the trip with Valium’s and my stomach was hurting bad that was the most bad but / but held on for the ride smoked a little cone then fell asleep for 5-10 mins lol woke up having to go to the toilet really bad !! Like laxatives

I didn't let one of my mycelium tubs go to max growth before I induced pinning. I've got pins tho, but will I need to be meticulous in the sterility area still, is this going to be susceptible to contamination still or?
