Everything is great but the quantity of suger should be less. Not for only this recipe but for many other dishes too. Bengalies dont use that much suger, it needs to be 1/2 pinch just to balance the taste.. Thanks for all your videos by the way❤Keep it up😊

These videos are mesmerizing! I am from Sri Lanka and am really interested in subtle differences of Indian food even if sometimes they visually look similar. Would like to ask from Bengali food enthusiasts, whether inclusion of sugar in curries (Even, fried rice) a signature of Bengali cuisine - just like coconut milk in Sri Lanka? I'm just curious. Mohamed Athif yes and no. Historically, people from the west of hoogly river (ghotis) tend to use sugar and those from the east (bangals) don’t. But over the years due to migration, one style has affected the other. Also, sugar is not used to make the dish sweet, it is used to balance the flavors and hence added in tiny amounts. This technique is not unique to bengal, but is used in many world cuisines.

I am not a good cook. I hardly cook as my wife takes care of that. Right now she is in Kolkata for some reason and I need to cook myself. I have cooked this item before but this time when I decided to follow the BongEats way, it was the best Alu Fulcopi I have ever prepared.
