It was the Emperor Maximilian I, a personality best known worldwide, who has bequeathed a heritage of cultural jewels in the city, such as the "Tejadito de Oro" that he had added or his mausoleum in the Church of the Court.
But today Innsbruck does not remain in the past and is a feast for the eyes, to the historical architecture and respect for the imperial tradition are added the beauties that swarm with their grace around us.
What other city allows you to reach more than 2,000 meters above sea level in less than half an hour from its medieval historic center? The view of the Alps from any corner is the perfect frame for the colorful urban. People look up and feel the comforting landscape.
The sun accompanies and its reflection is the ideal condiment for physiognomies. Sitting in a cafe or wandering is a second plan decision.
The surroundings with its impressive mountain scenery and absolutely unparalleled views of the city and the Inn River Valley are a must for casual tourists. You guys can share with us some admiration.
Stroll, go shopping, sit in an open-air café, contemplate the imposing baroque buildings and enjoy Maria Teresa street, whose history of more than 700 years began with the presence of a few farms and is today the center of the city life.
Innsbruck was not built overnight. Over the years, more and more nobles built their homes near the city gates, near the court, and in more comfort than their old cold castles in the country. These houses were converted into authentic palaces during the Baroque era.
Some of these imposing buildings and others that were built later embellish this part of the city. Walking through Innsbruck is something you will never forget.
The afternoon became deep and we fell inside, we still have a lot to discover here and in Austria, the Alps await us and also Salzburg.
