  • Each city surprises visitors with a different peculiarity. In the case of Brasov, the capital of Transylvania, what we have noticed is that many people walk down the street holding hands.

Couples of all ages stroll through the historic center of the city looking around or engrossed in their own history.
We have also seen that not only couples but also some people can go holding hands as a sign of friendship.
Discovering these behaviors that are not repeated everywhere and in many places although they existed before have been lost, is also a good way to get to know and travel.
Perhaps it is the beautiful architectural and natural environment that surrounds these people that make them feel more affectionate and closer.
Or maybe there is another historical reason for this to happen, although we have not seen it in the other Romanian cities we have visited.
Brașov is a city in the Transylvania region surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains. It is famous for its medieval Saxon walls and bastions, the imposing Gothic Black Church and its lively pubs.
Piaza Sfatului, Council Square, sits in the cobbled city center, is lined with colorful baroque buildings and houses Casa Sfatului, a former town hall that has been transformed into a museum of local history.
As always, we got lost in its streets aimlessly, giving virtually the same importance to the historical and the superfluous, to all that interweaving of images that capture any moment of people's daily lives.
If it is even likely that we have missed the best, the relevant, you will not lose the freedom of the fortuitous encounter.
The quality of life in a city involves different dimensions: lifestyle, housing, economic situation and satisfaction in school and employment.
For this reason, quality of life can be defined according to a system of values, standards or perspectives, which can be relative, that is, they vary from person to person and from place to place.
Quality of life consists of the feeling of well-being that can be experienced by people and that represents the sum of subjective and personal sensations of feeling good.
In the case of Brasov, judging by what we are seeing, this last parameter has a high level of significance.
Without appearing in the rankings, without interceding in ideologies and impositions, this side of the map shows us in many places what quality of life really is. Discovering them and sharing them with you is a task that we have set ourselves on this channel.
Looking a little less at the statistics and a little more at people's faces is a contribution we can make with this project.
The afternoon became deep and we fell inside walking through the streets of Brasov, the reflection of the sun on the hills and on the buildings became increasingly reddish.
Savoring a good local dish or simply enjoying a drink in the bars in the city center is something that no visitor to this beautiful destination should miss.
Touring the surrounding towns, including Brand where the castle of The Legend of Count Dracula is located, is another of the unmissable activities.
